I dont get it... I really dont

This board shouted from the roof top how they hate Pac12 players. how they cant block. theyre a huge issue. etc etc and now everyone is in love with Sewell WHILE WE ALREADY HAVE 2 Left Tackles.

I hope he's gone at 3, we're at 4 and we trade back with the Lions and pick up there 2nd and 4th so we they get Zach Wilson and we still get a WR

That's ridiculous.  This board is made of individuals with individual opinions.   Some people have opinions like that, but certainly not all.

Ignoring the Pac-12 entirely and not imagining that there would be some talents that would force a team to disregard a silly 'don't draft these players' nonsense.  Quite a few all-time greats have come from the Pac-12.

I've heard countless times in here about the greatness of Justin Herbert (just set the record for most TDs by a rookie QB).  He went to Oregon.  🤔
Brandon Aiyuk is having a nice year for SF... went to Arizona State.

Maybe players should be evaluated on an individual basis, and maybe the idea that the blog speaks with one voice can be thrown out as well.

We'd have to trade Dillard for a 2

Mailaita for a 5

Then pick Sewell if he's there.

With all the holes this team has you cant roll into training camp with 3 Left tackles.

Nope.

If one stud could be added to this group, makes Singleton and Edwards so much better.

The funny thing is, you look through the box scores of the remaining 9 Eagles games after Gerry went on IR and you just don't see the defense getting torched by TE or RB in the pass game.  In the Cards game their two TE went a combined 4 catches for 96 yards, but other than that, the highest output was Dalton Schultz in the first DAL game which was 6 catches for 53 yards -- most folks can live with that.

You'd be insane to Draft a LT in the top 5 when you have a former first rounder at LT while having a 7th rounder who looks REALLY good already at LT but here we are lol

Horse and buggy thinking right here.

You'd be insane to unload Mailata for just a 5, and i'm not even as big of a Mailata guy as most in here.

Stopped reading at Mailata for a 5th.

Another great breakdown of a play I posted from the all 22 geeks yesterday.

Agreed. He is a starting caliber LT with freakish size and athleticism.  He's already at least a 2nd round value based on his play and potential.

We all have our weaknesses

We're going through a season where we've used 13 different OL combinations because of injury and attrition on the OL .... and people in here are talking about trading away our young OL players .....

I'm not campaigning for Sewell. I think he is a great prospect but I don't see us being in position to draft him so its kind of a moot point. My position has been we are more or less stuck with Johnson until 2024 (thanks Howie), should have something good enough at LT between Dillard and Mailata, and also have Driscoll so we're fine at T. Sewell would just be a luxury pick.

But anyway, you could get way more than just a 5 for Mailata.

And Singleton has led the team in tackles in 5 of 8 games since Gerry has been out, 2nd in tackles twice.  Edwards has been top 3 in tackles half of those games.  When Gerry was in the lineup, all the corners and safeties were finishing 1-3 in tackles.

You add Parson to Singleton and Edwards, I think you have a good LB group, and the hopefully Davion Taylor can develop to add some speed to the group.

Person...

Trading Mailata for a 5 is somehow worse than drafting JJAW in RD2

Weird. I thought only Wentz saw ghost and left the pocket early.

Maybe Wentz and Hurts need their own paranormal tv show because of all the ghosts they are seeing.

Everyone who DIDN'T know Hurts was just going to be looking first read and running every play, please raise your hands.  All it takes is one NFL decision maker to believe he's a full time starter in the NFL, and he can be traded for the draft pick to be recouped.

I really just hope the Eagles aren't that one team .....

Not sure I'd take Surtain with a top 10 pick.  They definitely need an overhaul at the CB position except Slay.

It's hard enough to stop offenses today and there arent many shutdown CBs anymore.  Just give me players who are solid in coverage, will be in good position to make a play and most importantly can tackle in the open field.  They need to start drafting guys that excel at tackling because too many big plays have happened from poor or missed tackles.

I'd think it's only if they took Sewell.  In that case who plays LT and do the other 2 work at different positions on the O-line?  We've seen Dillard struggle at RT although it was a small sample size.

Completely and totally wrong on every level.  The team is worth exactly nothing without the fans and community.  Lurie isn't the first owner of the team, and will not be the last.

The owner of any sports team holds that team in trust for the community and the fans.

Art Modell, Georgia Frontiere and Stan Kroenke might beg to differ. I believe there was some talk of the Eagles moving to Phoenix at one point, wasn't there?

you give me the O line we have plus a draft pick or 2(later rounds) im happy.

I truly believe you gotta get rid of Ertz and Hurts so use those picks on OL

My guess is they go

Dillard-Herbig-Seamulo-Brooks-Johnson

That's assuming Kelce retires.  Mailata and Driscoll are the top 2 backup tackles.  They would need to address Guard if Seamulo moves to center.  Pryor shouldn't be here in 2021 and not sure who else they have at the position.
