Would Dallas ignore their defense again to screw us?

I mean, I hope. You don’t get better yourself if you are constantly thinking about someone else

Reagor is. He is gunna have to step up into the role.  At least for next year we need him to.  We already invested too much into the position in recent drafts while if ignoring the defense all together.

maybe sign a fa wr as a stop gap but im tired of ignoring the back 7 of the defense every draft

We may have invested a lot but it's all pretty much failed. Who can we say was a success? Goedert?

This draft talk and positions doesn’t make sense to me. This is a team devoid of talent and specifically young talent. You are in the top 10, take a stud, as long as it’s not something dumb like TE, RB, LS, K etc. You aren’t realistically contending next year with the cap situation. It’s at best a two year project.

Why force a pick on D. Why force taking a project DE or a CB if they aren’t a generational talent. Just take a stud or trade back.

Obviously they should go BPA to an extent and never reach...so if they find value at a certain position, the should go for it...but if the value is right, then they really need to go CB/DB ...DE/DT high....if not, then maybe G/C....maybe LB...maybe WR....then everything else.

Cant argue that.  I just think we need to stabilize this secondary.

A high pick on a wr sets us up for the future on the cheap. say its chase then your lineup looks like

chase / fulgham / reagor (slot)

with watkins and hightower as depth

Goedert at TE

Sanders at Rb

lots of youth at skill positions

can inveat the rest of the draft at OL and on defense

I used to agree but it's true that the league is more offense centric now

WRs can get away with OPI a lot. DBs can get a flag if they just touch the receiver now

I think you can safely cross off a LB. Especially in the top 10. If there was a stud DE I’d be fine with it, just don’t see it this year. Same with CB. This honestly doesn’t feel like a very top heavy draft so maybe trade back is the right call. Problem is not many will want to trade if it isn’t top heavy.

I'd still like a 2nd really good RB to pair with Sanders if Doug is gone.

I could see that if Smith becomes the HC

but you can find rbs in the middle of the draft and in FA

There'd be riots if they drafted a RB with the first pick. Especially if we actually got to pick 3

I love fireworks as much as the next guy.  But why do they have to set them off in the rain to ring in 9:43 pm?

Because 'Murica!!!!  Seriously though, a vast majority of peoples irresponsibility with fireworks is what pisses me off.

Happy New Year! Here’s to a Howie free 2021.

There’s nothing like celebrating the country you live in by blowing up a small piece of it

2021 sucks. The year 2021 is guaranteed to be without an eagles super bowl.

Since I moved down to NC I noticed it's more gun fire and not fireworks lol

I don’t know I can’t see Cincinnati taking a wide receiver when they already have Tyler Boyd and Higgins. They have issues across their defense and on their o line. I think they would go corner. To me Atlanta Is likely going to go quarterback or corner. Cincinnati if a lineman isn’t available I see them also going defense

Chase is the main guy at LSU that helped Burrow climb to the #1 draft pick.  A reunion is not out of the question.

I don’t think it’s out of the question. I think it’s less likely the bengals go the route of WR. i tend to believe the bengals having holes at corner, Oline, and DL are likely enough to warrant going elsewhere and over taking another WR when they just paid Boyd a lot of money and drafted Higgins.

Howie's made some bad picks to be sure. And it has reached the point where I think he should defer final decision on the draft to someone else. I expect some fans to jump on him. For me, Dillard sealed Howie's fate. I think someone in the front office needs to actually take responsibility for past(and future)drafts and say ;Hey Eagles fans. I made these picks. The fact that no one does that, contributes to the problem. Not all Howie's picks were bad. But he's missed too many times.

Chip Kelly Coached 3 seasons. Went 10-6 for 2 of them, then got fired while going 7-9. Two years later the team everybody thought he left a shambles, won a SB.

Doug Pederson is in his 5th year. He went  7-9, 13-3SB win, 9-7, 9-7, and now is 4-10-1. I could only see him remaining if we have a respected offensive coordinator take over and run the offense. Doug should probably leave. If a defensive coordinator is available with any pedigree, we should fire Schwartz and take him as well. We'll always have Minnesota.
