Derek Barnett: 15 missed games since becoming a regular after rookie year (3 seasons).

Goedert: 6 games missed since becoming a regular (2 seasons).

Sanders: 4 games missed in 1st season as a gingerly used top back.

Ironically, they are the only 3 players on the entire team on rookie deals that may be extended this offseason.  Pay them (rather, don’t pay them) accordingly.

According to Martin Frank, Brett Toth hasn't started a game since 2017. And this guy is going to be blocking Chase Young.

Has the NFL made a determination regarding Smith's cheap shot on Mailata?

Maybe Zach Ertz will put on a good show and increase his trade value.

He’ll be able to show off his blocking with Pryor and Toth playing.

about that increasing trade value though....

Well that can’t be right, he just entered the league last year. Unless he meant college.

Isn’t Barnett playing on his 5th year option? He would be silly to agree to an extension given the likely discount the Eagles will want.

Jerry told them they couldn’t fine Cowboys

So just looked up info about Toth and his college season. During his senior year, the Army offense rushed 785 times and attempted only 65 passes.

A. That’s insane.

B. Doug must hate him.

Yeah I think he meant that he hasn't started a game at all since college.

It didn't get any national publicity on networks like ESPN or NFLN, so the NFL will probably sweep it under the rug.  I think they issue fines midweek. If we haven't heard anything by now, chances are the NFL didn't discipline it.

It wouldn’t be silly with his injury history to sign an extension with some future year security. Plus they can extend him off the 5th year option by turning it into a signing bonus. He gets paid the same, gets security, Eagles lower his cap hit for 2021. Its win win all around.

Fines are usually announced Friday’s. They announced Kamara was fined for his cleats earlier today. Not sure if today being a holiday will push the other fines to tomorrow.

I’d rather Mailata took care of it himself.  I’m a big believer in giving people exactly the same amount of respect they give to me.

They’ll likely be on the same field next season.  If Mailata chooses to roll-block Smith next season, and his knee doesn’t withstand 350 lbs getting rolled on .... I wouldn’t feel all that bad about it.

I thought it was Thursday. But, maybe you are right.

Chapter 4 from the Fire Doug Chronicles.

I wonder how much of the speculation that Wentz is displeased with how stuff went down stems from Fulgham being taken out of the offense as Alshon was inserted back in?

WR in round 1 would be insanely stupid.  Trade down if that’s the case.  Get more picks and throw numbers at the OLine and Secondary.

We obviously won’t agree.  I can’t make my point any other way.

I don’t disagree with you to trade back and get more picks. I’m always for that especially when you have a team that lacks as much good young talent as the Eagles do.

However I do think wide receiver is slowly becoming a much more valuable position in the league. I look at the top five teams in the NFL and every single one of them has an elite wide receiver. The Chiefs have Tyreek hill. The Packers have Devante Adams. The Saints have Michael Thomas. The bills have Stefon Diggs. The Seahawks have DK Metcalf. Even if i go to some of the other top teams the Titans have aj brown and bucs have Evans and godwin.

That doesn’t mean it’s exclusively that they just have elite wide receivers and that’s why they are great. Far from it. Obviously you have to build up the rest of your team especially OL and in the secondary as well as the QB position. However if you believe a guy can be a Davante Adams or Tyreek Hill or Stefon diggs then i have to consider it. That doesn’t mean taking one in round one cause all of those guys i mentioned weren’t first round picks but if the opportunity presents itself and you feel that player is that type of guy I am not against it.

Maybe but I would think that he loses no real money playing one year under a $9 million option. I mean if he puts up a double digit sack year he would be looking at a franchise tag or big free agent deal.

Atleast on the positive note, Howie was smart enough to sign Travis to a 2 year cheap deal. So he cant walk after this season and sign somewhere else. Another reason Doug should go. If Doug stays, Travis is gone in 2022.

Impressed with Northwestern defense. Very disciplined, tackle well.

Gross... just GROSS that the "ROSE BOWL" is being played anywhere other than in the 'Rose Bowl'.    Even grosser that it's at Jerruh-world.

It's pretty silly that they couldn't figure out a way to play it in Pasadena.

Brett Toth is gonna get put on his ass so many times.
