It makes sense to use Lawrence and Fields in the running game in college. Adds an element to the run game and they're both exceptional athletes.

And while its unsustainable in the NFL, because the QB will get beat up... in college, you turn your QB over every 2-4 years, so you aren't thinking long term, and week to week 21 year olds bounce back faster from bumps and bruises than a 28 year old.

Clemson CB Derion Kendrick (projected 2nd round pick, converted WR to CB) not doing too well early on, got burned on that deep pass to Wilson and gave up the TD to Farrell.

Nothing odd about it... its college football.

Last year's #1 overall pick threw the ball all the time. We just saw Mac Jones run like a pro-style QB.

I get what you're saying, but if you have Lawrence, let him throw?

Not porn.  Yah freak.

I didn't think it was... but what's an adult coloring book... is that a real thing?

Pretty much every elite college offense builds the passing game off the running game. Run, run, run, until they start to stack the box, then throw over the top.

LSU last year was a rare exception. Joe Burrow, Joe Brady, and all that talent were a special team.

In college you get the full gamut... from a full pro-style, to spread, to read-option, to triple option.

if you have Lawrence, maybe you need to rely on his legs a little, especially against more athletic defenses... because frankly, he's not as accurate as Burrow was last year.   He has a high completion pct., but his receivers make some ridiculous catches for him on the regular.

It is.  She got a few for my mom when she was battling cancer, before she died.  So my mom had something creative to do that didn’t tax her too much.  My wife liked them so she got some.

Jeez ... my condolences.

Justin Fields playing like a top 5 pick tonight.

Ryan Day is a really good head coach. Chip did well bringing him here for that one year.

Curious how they determine this stat.  With that said, Hurts' accuracy is beyond terrible.

Clemson D is in a tough spot here.   They really can't afford to give up another TD.  They might not be able to catch up if they do.   This is a classic track meet type game, but in a game like this, you need to keep within arm's reach.   A 2 possession game, with OSU getting the ball to start the half would be a bad spot for Clemson.

Pretty interesting stuff. They take a lot into consideration too.

OSU's D looks more likely to stop Clemson's O than Clemson's D looks to stopping OSU's O.  Maybe Clemson will look better on D in the 2nd half when that DB is allowed to play after serving his half game suspension for targeting?  Clemson needs to keep this close and OSU gets the ball to start the 2nd half.

Stop playing so well, Sermon, I'd rather use a 4th (if we acquire one via trade) on you instead of a 2nd.

Ok. The reason the LT spot right now is occupied by Mailata and Dillard is all the more reason to look at LT.

Mailata is getting way overhyped by fans. Yes, the strides he’s made coming from rugby is great, he’s massive and an incredible athlete, and his highlights of him crushing people in the run game are awesome. However, he’s still a below average (at best) pass blocker who is not close to being a pro bowler. Not saying he can’t be, he definitely could. But he may have already peaked.

Then you got Dillard who was up and down his rookie year before tearing his ACL in preseason of year 2. It’s no secret that he may not be mentally tough enough for the NFL.

If the Eagles see a pro bowl caliber LT at pick 6 or wherever in the top 10, he’ll definitely be the pick imo.

Say what Jack? Mailata is playing his first competitive games (other than some exhibition game snaps) in HIS LIFE this season.

He's only been playing football at any level for three years.

Geez. Talk about hot takes.

California governor is a moron.

Massive understatement.

Cracked

That’s a wrap

That's why a running QB isn't sustainable in the NFL.

Hopefully it’s wind not ribs

Damn, that was a helluva hit.

This would be the worst targeting call ever.

I hate the targeting rules

Skalski really needs to learn how to properly tackle... HEAD UP!!!

Not a great call... but tackling like that isn't safe.   That's a potential Dennis Byrd style vertebrae compression injury waiting to happen.
