Team has been declining winning the Super Bowl and is now the worst team in a putrid division. But besides Schwartz they are gonna run it back anyway. Yikes. I hate when teams let sentimentality get in the way of needed change.

I would think for DC I would have a serious look at Dan Quinn I don't think he will get a HC job.

Why? his defense with Atlanta was never good. No thank you

In most years, the first WRs taken are not the ones who go on to have the greatest success in the NFL.   Howie and Co. just suck at identifying who they are.

They took Matthews and Huff... when better WRs were available.
Took Agholor, better WRs were available.
Took JJAW, better WRs were available.
Took Reagor, better WRs were available.

It's not the draft position, it's who is making the picks.

I agree but this year they actually are in position to get one of the top guys.  Not like in years past when they were picking later and left with tougher decisions on who to take.

More significant staff changes!

AKA firing Dave Fipp.

Hiring another special assistant and demoting another one can’t be far behind.

The only thing we can hope for at this point is Lurie demotes Howie or hires someone above him.

I'm taking the year off next season if they keep both at the same capacity. I need a break from this.

I'm sure it doesn't help matters with fans not at games because 65000 Eagles fans chanting "fire Howie" would probably be more impactful than fans calling radio stations or posting on message boards. Lurie can just ignore the noise when it's outside of the Linc.

Good news is that if they run it all back, the decline from the Super Bowl will have one more step to hit the absolute bottom.   Being the worst team in the worst division isn't bad enough... we need to go for Jets level pathetic.

But, we'll have some older players coming back from injury... so it will be better.   Relying on older players returning from injury has never come back to bite this team in the past.

That slop we had to watch all season is the 3rd most expensive O in the NFL?  FFS.

Yeah, I know, major injuries along the OL really hurt, but so does the big albatross contracts to Alshon (think his was voted worst contract in the NFL) and DJax (money isn't too terrible, but the fact he only contributed for 5-6 games then the value of it sucks and who didn't see that coming because I'm pretty sure there were quite a few of us here who pointed out he hasn't been able to play a full season since 2013).  Of course a better O coaching staff would have helped.  This is just an F'ing embarrassment.

Not a shocker.  Told everyone this would be the case.

A no-name OL isn't a concern to the NFL who is focused on protecting its big name players which are usually QBs.  Mialata should go for Smith's knees next year.  If the League isn't going to protect players, then the players need to protect themselves.

I'm not picking a WR at where the Eagles will be drafting.

That's fair.  So what position would you pick or you trading down?

   Gee, I wonder who is responsible for that crap.

If Smith played for the Chargers and he did that then he'd be fined.  Playing for Jerry has its perks.

I'm going trade down all the way... but WRs are just not worth top 10 picks, no matter who they are.

But I would go OL first... I'm not landed yet, because I need to study it more... but right now a trade down and a selection of Wyatt Davis could be transformative.

The NFL is a joke when they say they care about concussions. This proves they don't. They just care about their image and their marketable players.

Oh, like you, I want him gone, too.  Tired of his 'smartest guy in the room' shite.  He caught lightning in a bottle in 2017, but otherwise has been mediocre to dreadful.  Also agree with you that the guy who made the mess shouldn't be the guy to try and fix the mess.  Unfortunately, Lurie's blind loyalty is going to cost this franchise even more for the near future.  I'd be shocked if Howie is sacked after the season.

So now that both Doug and Howie will be back what OC/DC worth anything want to come to Philly? This team is in cap hell and needs a rebuild desperately. I actually rather be the Jets at this point. At least they have a ton of money.

I think we all can agree that George Lopez was the best family sitcom/crappy TV show of them all...(this era).

3rd most expensive Oline, However the reporter purposely left out that we have the leagues most expensive Defensive line. Thats on the defensive side of the ball right?

I'd rather have the kicker from Indiana than Jake Elliott right now... too bad the Eagles are tied to Elliott.

Only Olineman worth a top 6 pick is Sewell and  it’s almost a lock the Bengals take him.

Can we name him either OC or DC so that we can get some laughs next year?

Just seen Tom Herman is out at Texas.  They're looking at Steve Sarkisian.  What a joke that program has become.
