Hey look   A Cowboys player just went to the head of an opposing player with the crown of his helmet.   That should be an ejection.   That is 100% an intent to injure.    GROSS.

It happened last week to Mialata when Jaylon Smith head butted him away from the ball. The League didn't even issue a fine.

If the Eagles run it back next season with Doug and Co with Hurts/trading Wentz, I'll save a few bucks not buying Sunday ticket.  So there's that...I refuse to watch an 0-16 season.

Maybe TB get scared by the injury to Evans and pull starters.

Assuming we lose to WAS, I wanted to know which teams to root for today and came up with the following. Any of these would result in us jumping above the winning team in draft order:

  • CIN over BAL (1pm ET)
  • ATL over TB (1pm ET)
  • HOU over TEN (4:25pm ET)

If CIN lose, we still have a shot at jumping ahead of them with Strength of Schedule but it's going to require some upsets and doesn't look probable.

Currently SoS is as follows:

  • CIN 0.527
  • PHI 0.531

I've plotted out both teams' schedules (attached) and cancelled out common opponents, today's games where PHI or CIN has played both teams (since one will win and one will lose - doesn't matter which way around as they cancel each other out) and assumed both PHI and CIN lose today.

Based on this I get 4 games that actually impact the SoS of one team but not the other.

We need 3 out of these 4 to happen to jump ahead of CIN to #5:

  • MIA over BUF (1pm ET)
  • CHI over GB (4:25pm ET)
  • CAR over NO (4:25pm ET)
  • LAC over KC (4:25pm ET)

Yeah... need some serious underdog help unfortunately.

TLDR:

Looks unlikely we'll move up from #6. Would need some underdog help.

Probably should re-evaluate how one makes decisions if one agrees with ESP.

It’s an interesting topic to give a take on, and I can see why someone would boil it down to a hypothetical QB vs HC scenario — but I believe every situation is unique and there’s a danger to try to use ‘conventional wisdom’.  In this particular scenario I see it as an accelerated version of what happened at the end of the Andy Reid tenure — outdated scheme and play calling, inadequate replacement of assistant coaches, and dysfunctional management structure.

2 weeks in a row a cowboy defensive player launches and head butts another player with intent to hurt them.

that appears to be more than a coincidence

That didn’t look good for Evans. Knee buckled inward on that play. Being carted back to the locker room after walking off the field. And brady hurt his hand on a throw. The bucs really shouldn’t be playing anyone valuable. I get wanting to play the NFC East but it’s highly likely the Rams with a backup QB lose to the cardinals anyway.

MIA punt (badly) but up 3-0 at least.

Why wouldn't they keep doing it if the League accepted it?  Maybe now that it got flagged, they will stop.  But, the NFL needs to enforce its rules consistently.

I agree with everything you said however my point is ESP is a moron and has said a bunch of dumb crap over the years that consistently been proven over time to look even more foolish.

Yeah just did it myself from scratch. It was fun. But I'm a spreadsheet nerd like that 😅

Shame there's no fans allowed in the stadium.   The fans would help to enlighten the putz, live and in person.

I dont think I could give my tickets away for this game tonight if we werent banned by the state from going. This is just as bad as a week 4 preseason game.

Amazing that this needs to be pointed out.

Imagine being Wentz and seeing Dallas trade for Cooper, Arizona getting Hopkins, and Diggs going to Buffalo. Those teams went out of their way to help their young QB's. And then your team goes and takes a QB in the 2nd during a loaded draft at Reciever. Last off season felt like a total vote of no confidence in Wentz. It does not surprise me he's lost faith in this organization when they refused to build around him.

imagine being a football team and moving up on draft day to select your franchise QB , only to see him unable to stay healthy and finish the season all while the backup wins the superbowl for the team. then you make the commitment to release said backup to keep you happy then  pay your ass top dollar making the commitment to you again and you can't stay healthy again. then when team drafts a backup QB your little feelings get hurt cause you can't handle the competition so you crap the bed all year and when the playoffs are out of reach in the worst division in the league they sit you , then you can't handle it like a spoilt little kid. franchise QB's are tough and fight for the job they want , they don't crumble like stale bread.

ATL punting. Down 3-10 to TB 😞

If Reagor had done what CeeDee Lamb just did on that jet sweep posters in here would jump all over him

I am aware.

the bills defense knows how to tackle , something our defense has failed to do this season

yup.

I'm going to laugh if Dallas loses today because a lot of Cowboys fans are crying about us not playing 9 players.

😡🤬

What the actual F... Lurie needs to be held accountable.  There is NO FING JUSTIFICATION for this.  It’s pure nepotism, arrogance, and irresponsible.  Jeff has failed in his most basic obligations as team owner.

I think everyone here has TV or internet at this point. Dont need play by play on every other game in the NFL. We already have it with redzone.

Bucs lost Mike Evans likely for the season on his injury. So they might win the battle of getting to play the NFC East but lose the war in the playoffs with that injury.

ill watch them but ill also follow whatever team wentz goes to. Tough to say right now, but id bet what ever team Wentz goes to will do much better than the eagles will next year if we status quo Dougy and co.

Both Jalens have a long way to go to win me over.
