I prefer we send Doug and Howie.

Exactly

much harder to find a qb with his talent than a coach with dougs ability or a bumbling gm

lurie has to step up and make the hard decision but i fear he is getting it wrong

TD Giants!

Then, Sewell might fall to us if there is a run on QBs in the top 5. Either way, if we end up at #7, I think we have a chance to get a good deal/situation.

Currently at 6. If we win depends on if the lions, giants, Denver and Carolina win as well where we are picking. Could be anywhere from 6-10. If we lose i think we are guaranteed at least 6

I’d be thrilled if we got Sewell.

That Saints win really hurt us. I think we'd actually have #3 locked

Just did a simulation and we wouldn't need help from Falcons, Bengals, or Texans

Yes if we lost to Saints (and WAS later today), we would have #3 pick.

Good thing the Bucs played their starters in a meaningless game.

Thus ends the crappy NRC tenure

If Football team plays the Bucs next week I’ll have never rooted harder for an opposing NFC East team

Especially when you consider the Rams are out Goff and kupp for the game against the cardinals.

Yep. Howie looks at how much money they invest in each position. He won't want two first round WRs that have their contracts come due around the same time.  CB makes sense because Slay's deal will run out in a couple of years and they don't have a lot of big money currently invested in it. So, CB is a position that has money available. Also, DE will be in that category. We won't have Graham for much longer and Barnett could possibly go. So, they will have an opening to spend money on DE.

And yet he dumped how much MORE money at DT, despite already having a ton invested there.   Howie doesn't know what he's doing.

If we lose to WAS, we'll be picking #6 at worst (but unlikely to move either, with the way things are going).

Goes without saying...

Dolphins could take a QB. Tua kinda sucks tbh

They won't this year. They will give him more than just a year to prove it.

Dolphins took the wrong QB. Herbert is a stud.

I really hate the strength of schedule determining a tie on a draft pick. I get if you suck more with an easier schedule but you’re punishing the team that had the harder schedule twice. First by having to play a more difficult to schedule which made it harder to win games and then doubling down on that and using it against them in terms of draft pick value. Seems like a double whammy

Lurie is gonna get eaten alive at his year end press conference

I was thinking that but then I thought....this years end of season PC is going to be a Zoom call.  He will get off easy.  Big difference with having  face to face questions in person and someone on a screen.  Could probably also mute anyone he doesn't want to hear from.  I know that's far fetched but who knows.  He has no idea of how bad things are because:

-No fans to boo the team at the Linc.

-No fans to stop coming to the games.

-Virtual PC all year long with no pressure from the media.

We shouldn't be mad at Howie or DP.  All anger and frustration needs to be geared towards Jeff Lurie.  If these reports of Howie/DP returning, Schwartz being offered an extension and Carson wanting out are true it all falls directly on his shoulders.

I was watching the old sitcom Coach today and in the later seasons, Hayden Fox has a crazy old bat as an owner.  She loves money.  Coincidentally, in today's episode she was making bad decisions and her quote hit me like a ton of bricks. "I can make any moves I want, I'm the owner.  If the fans hate me guess what, I'm still the owner."   That's exactly how I think Lurie now feels.  The Eagles are his business and he's raking in cash.

Albert breer talked about this the other day on the radio. He doesn’t think based off what he’s been told that the Dolphins wouldn’t take a quarterback sitting at three. They are unconventional with Flores. Been told they might not be sitting at 3 again anytime soon so if they love a QB that falls there they wouldn’t be against taking one. Not that i agree with that but he talked about it yesterday

It wasn’t like they didn’t have warning, either.  Lots of people were surprised that Herbert was being slept on

With the sixth pick in the NFL Draft, Howie Roseman, err the Eagles, select Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami.

I’m going to tell you exactly what will happen with this draft.

Howie is so reactionary...completely flip/flops and over reacts year to year.  They will draft #6 overall.  3 qb’s, Sewell, and Chase will be off the board.  They will be choosing between Devonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle.

2019: Draft JJAW, more polished, more productive...but slower, less talented than the more explosive, talented, and raw Metcalf.  Rest is history.

2020: Overcompensate in the other direction.  Draft the raw, riskier, more explosive Reagor over the safer, more polished, more productive Jefferson.

2021: Flip flop again.  Smith is 170lbs soaking wet and not that fast.  But he has mega production and runs smooth routes.  They’ll draft the safer, more productive Smith over the faster, more explosive Waddle.

And watch Smith have the typical Eagles rookie WR season while Waddle is an instant smash hit who goes to the probowl as a rookie.

Just watch.

Yup!

Wouldn’t be so sure about that. Albert breer discussed this on the radio yesterday. Says people Hes talked to in that organization know they aren’t likely to be picking in the top 5 anytime soon again so could take one if they love one at 3. Also with what happened with josh Rosen and Arizona i don’t think it’s as unthinkable as in the past

He's been benched twice for Fitzpatrick lol

Agreed. Dude is balling. They need to build around him

They've been overblown.  Last 3 weeks they've played Bengals, 49ers and Eagles.  Three awful teams on their 2nd and 3rd string QBs.
