If Sewell goes #2 to the Jets... then a trade back makes a ton of sense for them.

Curious to see what the Jets do. I think fields is in play but i don’t see it as a lock. It’s really hard to evaluate what Sam Darnold is considering you had a disaster of a head coach in Gase for his second and third year in the league. And his rookie season you had Todd bowles who is a defensive coach as his head coach. Plus they are grossly undermanned in terms of talent and they went into the year rebuilding. It is curious that you keep hearing people talk about Kyle Shanahan and the Colts are interested in Sam Darnold. I think that speaks to the league knows the Jets have done him wrong and he could be successful in the NFL with good coaching and talent

Did Antonio Brown finally get medication?

I've done the calculations and we need 3 out of 4 games to go our way, all of which need an underdog win. Doesn't look likely.
CIN played each NFCE team once and also have the 1-14 Jags and 4-11 Texans on their schedule. We also played SEA, NO and GB which hurts us.

Yes, but we play teams in the NFC East twice and they play the AFC North twice.

The SOS doesn't just go based on pure win% it's total added record, so you add the records of the NFC East twice.

If the Jets win this they might have won 4 out of their last 5 if not for epic Hail Mary disaster against the raiders.

Either that or he finally got what he wanted and he 100% put on a show just to get to a quarterback he wanted to play with.

Could be that he hasn’t been there long enough to screw up yet. And there’s probably stuff going on behind the scenes that we aren’t hearing about. Also could be on his best behavior because he knows if something happens again he’s out of the league

He was with him when he was a Pat

Here's my earlier post. It's really tight but unfortunately we're just on the wrong side of it:

Assuming we lose to WAS, I wanted to know which teams to root for today and came up with the following. Any of these would result in us jumping above the winning team in draft order:

  • CIN over BAL (1pm ET)
  • ATL over TB (1pm ET)
  • HOU over TEN (4:25pm ET)

If CIN lose, we still have a shot at jumping ahead of them with Strength of Schedule but it's going to require some upsets and doesn't look probable.

Currently SoS is as follows:

  • CIN 0.527
  • PHI 0.531

I've plotted out both teams' schedules (attached) and cancelled out common opponents, today's games where PHI or CIN has played both teams (since one will win and one will lose - doesn't matter which way around as they cancel each other out) and assumed both PHI and CIN lose today.

Based on this I get 4 games that actually impact the SoS of one team but not the other.

We need 3 out of these 4 to happen to jump ahead of CIN to #5:

  • MIA over BUF (1pm ET)
  • CHI over GB (4:25pm ET)
  • CAR over NO (4:25pm ET)
  • LAC over KC (4:25pm ET)

Yeah... need some serious underdog help unfortunately.

TLDR:

Looks unlikely we'll move up from #6. Would need some underdog help.

Probably a mixture of all the above.

Howie Long just said "I don’t get it” why the DAL offense doesn’t look like it did last week.

Theyre not playing against backups and PS guys this week.  Not hard to predict

Would he be able to? I know Adderall is/was banned

Wonder what Brooks takes for his anxiety

the BB factor loomed large there though.

I don't think Arians is 1/4 the coach that BB is.

The Giants DL is also showing up in a way the Eagles DL didn’t last week

Justin Jefferson breaks Randy Moss' Vikings rookie receiving yardage record.

AJ Green is another WR that had to deal with crap or average QB play for his career

Giants defense for the last 10 weeks has been good enough to win. teams averaging 20.5ppg. And a lot of the time they give up points cause of the ineptitude of Daniel jones giving teams good field position with turn overs and three and outs

True.  He’s really cooked now, though

Howie special...who needs the 2nd rounder, send it to Cincy for AJ Green.

Didn’t affect Aaron Rodgers

I hate this logic. But apparently it affected Brett favre cause the first two years after they drafted rodgers he was bad then he finally found his way back in year 3.

2005: 4-12 20 tds and 29 ints

2006: 8-8 18 tds and 18 ints.

so rodgers did it but they also did it with favre and he was bad for two years and then was great in year 3 again. You have multiple situations going both ways.

We'll see, I think everyone's calculating the SOS wrong. Most people are going by tankathon's percentage and I think it's wrong. I think the way it's done is you take the entire schedule, add up all the number of wins every opponent has(including division teams twice) and divide by the total games played. Doing that you get 68 wins for Bengals opponents compared to 36 for the Eagles(if scores hold) in their divisions alone. That's impossible ground to make up.

Atlanta still in this!

I'll start by saying I think the latest Wentz report is as much BS as the last one. If it's true though, I hope they don't trade wentz to indy like he "reportedly" wants. If he wants to give up on the team send him to detroit or to the jets. His terrible play is what caused the situation, give it another go next year and see if you can fix it and then you can ask for a trade.

I also don't think this happens if he were benched early on the year when he was playing like ish. Bench him for a game or two in like week 8, then put him back in for the rest of the season and we probably don't have this issue.

Cincy was dumb for not trying to just deal him away the past couple years knowing they weren’t going anywhere.
