But the Eagles struggled "coz COVID"

Long story short... he did it by riding his two best offensive players:  Chubb and Hunt.   Simple formula.

Looks that way (assuming we lose obviously).

I only do that if we trade Wentz and Hurts and get Lawrence.   So....No.

But but but Doug is a winning coach with Foles...

No. But, I've had the feeling that before Foles retires, the Eagles will bring him back for a 3rd time as a backup QB.  Then, he will probably retire as an Eagle.  I don't see that happening yet though.

It also helped mason rudolph played in this game. The Steelers likely win the game today if Big Ben is out there. He nearly tied that game late and their offense was awful for 3 quarters of the game.

If you are hoping for good value in a Wentz trade you should be cheering for Rivers to continue the choke job against the Jags and some how the Jags win that game.

Doug likes to hide his best offensive player on the bench and then give Clement a few sneaky carries just to shake it up for no reason.

id bet he wont draft a wr in the first 3 rds, since we drafted 3 last year.

I disagree. I don’t think a 5th and 6th WR who can’t see the field dictate their draft plans. That’s like saying they are fine at LB because they drafted Taylor and Bradley.

It’s crazy the Jags were in the AFC championship game the same year we won 52, and now they’re a 1 win team. Not for long indeed

I kind of think rivers is going to retire anyway. Colts easily could have 13 wins this year with better QB play. Should’ve never lost to the jags and they should’ve beaten the Steelers of rivers didn’t play like crap after taking the 24-7 lead. Even the Cleveland game they lost they had chances and rivers just three picks

Just look at the final four from that year. Eagles have 4 wins, Vikings have 7, jags 1 and Patriots 7. How the mighty have fallen

None of the final 4 teams that year will make the playoffs this year.

Well I was being facetious, but I'd love for Nick to sign a one day and retire as an Eagle.

Seahawks losing to the niners actually kills the Saints chances for homefield if the bears are able to pull out the victory. Saints needed the 3 way tie with GB and seattle to get homefield.

And his 8 man WR platoon.

"According to FO, Eagles have gotten 2nd worst draft return since 2015 According to OverTheCap, Eagles have 2 of the top 10 worst contracts in the NFL and 2nd worst cap situation in NFL You can make the case Howie deserves more blame than anyone else in Philadelphia."

saw this on twitter, not sure why Howie still has a job...

See... you are taking a results based approach.   But, Lurie takes a process approach, and Howie's process always seems to be to like one or two other guys than the ones he's taking in the draft, but he takes the ones in the draft that someone else likes.  If it works, he's a genius, if it doesn't work, he was just doing what the people around him wanted.

Newsflash to anyone that hasn't figured it out yet... Howie can't draft, Howie can't manage the cap.   Kicking the can down the road is NOT cap management... its someone who just rolls balances from one CC to another with low introductory rates... that is NOT a debt relief plan.

Jags out here trying to get rivers to spend more time with his kids.

The Jags didn't do enough to address their offense. They signed Foles to a deal, but they had little weapons. They thought Fournette and a great defense was enough.  They really needed a good TE. They should've drafted Hockenson over  Josh Allen, even though most experts thought Allen was the better pick. Their only good WR was Chark who developed more recently. Interestingly, their defense became worse pretty fast and then of course they traded key players. Now they are a long way back from being competitive. They are years away.

And the Eagles are in the worst position of all 4

Jags had a great defense that year and then lost it

Idk i think minnnesota is worse. Stuck with cousins. They are going to be stuck in purgatory the next 2 years as cousins wins 7-9 games

Bortles also played well for that team in the postseason. His game in Pittsburgh was probably his best of his career

The Vikings should really focus on their defense. They have Cook and Jefferson and good TEs.  The foundation for their offense is there, even if Cousins isn't great. I just don't think Zimmer is a good HC. He is a good DC, but he's like Norv...meant to be a coordinator vs. a HC.

Let’s go HOUSTON!!!
