Guess this means Fipp didn't announce who the PR/KR will be.  Should be interesting to see.

On a different note: I was thinking about how much Continuity will play a part in teams being actually prepared for this season with a Truncated Training Camp and no preseason games , along with limited OTA's. Teams that have switched coaching staffs/schemes and or wholesale players changes, seem like by mid season those disadvantages will become more noticeable.

For that reason:

There are 6 games alone we play against the Cowboys, Giants, and WFT (ugh) - all with new coaching staff's/ New Schemes - not much continuity.  All 6 of those games are very winnable.

Add in the Bengals, Browns and Cards, and there are 9 very winnable games. Say we go 7-2 or even 6-3 which would be very reasonable -

That means in question would be, Rams, Packers, Seahawks, Ravens, Steelers, Saints and 49er's.....  even if we split those games 3-4 we should end up with at least 9-10 Wins, and the upside would be higher.

Remember as long as we have number 11, we have a shot in any game.

I thought they gave him full authority of the defense was he was hired?

I think that’s to run the defense how he wishes, but not to have final say over the 53.

Ward/Clement is my guess.

I would assume they're the most likely.  It's supposed to be a strong point of Huntley's as well, and Reagor will probably take over at some point once he's back.

The new guy, Huntley, should be in the mix.

Well we haven't heard of any conflict so I guess they don't just add and remove a player without getting input from Schwartz

If the Eagles stay relatively healthy, which is a big IF , they're going to win the NFC this year.

Lol I don’t even think we even beat Washington week 1 to be honest.

Got me before my edit. I forgot about Ward. I think he does PR. Huntley eventually but I don't think they put him in their right out the gate. Reagor, I wouldn't with the shoulder plus his expanded role on the O.

Absolutely. I’m sure they talk and ask his opinion over which players he likes more, and I’d think he is a strong influence but the call would still be Howie’s.

First, do you believe Schwartz doesn't have a major say in who stays and who goes?

Second, of course the final say is not his. He'd want to keep 40 defensive players if he could. There are trade-offs.

Third, it's Kempski phrasing his tweet to be inflammatory.

Yes, but I don't think he should Week 1

He might be the Kick Returner. But who knows, Tape shows uh yeah let him catch the opening Kickoff.

I forgot about Ward too.  Seems like a shame to bring in all these speed guys then still stick with Ward back there though.  We'll see about Reagor.  I'm sure they'd rather someone else be out there if they could but if he's the best for the job I wouldn't be surprised either.  Obviously not for week 1 though.

Eagles win the wealth battle this week:

Other NFL names to make the list include Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie (319th, $2.7 billion), and Washington’s Dan Snyder (327th, $2.6 billion).

pffft, pocket change

That’s excusing theft.  Like inflating an insurance claim is theft.  Well they are a big company so they can afford it mentality doesn’t justify it.  Bargain like 4for4 did if you want it.  My reaction to ignoring your cancellation request is the same.  If they charge for a service you canceled, they are stealing your money.  That’s not legal either.   Theft, whether looting, shoplifting, burglary, armed robbery or fraud, just isn’t okay.

I wasn't "excusing theft".  That post was 100% tongue-in-cheek.  Just "venting".

If I can't afford a service, I don't buy it...plain and simple.  I'm not one to steal anything from anyone.  I find theft to be unethical, regardless if it's from a $100 billion company or a local Mom & Pop.

The last time I "tried" to get a cable channel without paying for it I was probably 12 years old and figured out that Spectrum (The old channel)  wasn't scrambling its channel..  So I attached the cable directly to the VCR and got Spectrum for free for about a week....that was short lived because once my parents found out, they put an end to it.

Yea, I agree with Ward. But the one upside is he's at least reliable catching it. Sounded like everyone else struggled tracking and securing the ball. Even Reagor was having 1 or 2 drops a day early on.

Blah blah blah- as if we aren't capable of altering "perceptions" on our own.  Make the oppressed change first before we move a needle.  What utter crap.  Not human nature all.  Its what those in power always say about those that aren't:  prove to us you are worthy of me seeing you as equal.

its what every human does, even if they arent aware of it (you obviously arent). assess the person to decide if they are to be treated as peer, threat or ignored. credibility has to be earned in action. words are empty.

The reports are what they are. This year they were from fifty yards away or more.  I saw so little reporting on the lines.  Frankly, the Ostman and Sweat tweets should have us convinced that they should not only be starters with Toohill the first off the bench and all enshrined into the HOF.  Yet no other team grabbed Ostman off waivers.  Shareef Miller was also cut and picked up by Carolina. One of the reasons you didn’t hear as much about Avery is he got a bone bruise.  With no preseason games, I don’t think I have ever felt this blind heading into the season.

But we saw Avery on the field last year a bit, and not much there. I guess I just didn’t see the rationale on keeping him besides giving up a 4th rounder and hoping it’s somehow justified. Oh well, I just don’t think Avery deserved or earned a spot that’s all, regardless of Ostman.

Any chance we can still bring in Cordy as a back up at least? Maybe he will take to Peters teachings and ways and his career can be salvaged. The depth at tackle is concerning.

Roughly 27 % of punts are fair caught

I still think they do but after week 1 when the contract isn’t guaranteed.
