I guess we're playing trivia again.

I was thinking Hicks had forgotten about kendricks

Don’t get me started on LBs. HE and I have been singing this tune since Levon Kirkland.

Anyone else remember when we spent 3 midround picks in 4 years and came away with Bryan Smith, Keenan Clayton and Casey Matthews?

Matt McCoy and go.

i think so too...  look at the following screen grabs and keep in mind, this all took place in about 2-3 seconds after the snap:

screen 1 goedert is running to the endzone, carson going through his reads still.  look at ramsey.  hips open to goedert.  if it's thrown to the back of the endzone he'll run with goedert there.

screen 2 goedert looking back, but look at ramsey.  if he throws the ball to goedert there, it's heavily contested / swatted..  or worse picked.

spacer.png

screen 3 ramsey still has his eyes on the backfield, ready for carson to throw.  this is DEF a pick at that point if thrown to goedert.  if thrown to the back of the endzone, heavily contested.  ramsey in perfect position to see both carson and goedert.  he's baiting carson.

screen 4 the "most" separation goedert got.  ramsey still in perfect position to make a play.  the "openess" was because ramsey wanted goedert to look open.  if carson passed it to him, best case scenario is a batted heavily contested ball..  worst case is another pick.

If wentz throws that ball to the back of the end zone leading goedert i don’t think Ramsey has a chance to pick that ball off. It’s either goedert catches it or it’s out of bounds. Wentz had to lead him to the back of the end zone. That’s a good 2-2.5 steps goedert has. If it’s to the back of the end zone i do not think it’s picked. But he would’ve had to throw it right as right when you screenshotted pic 3.

Hey to be fair Keenan Clayton was going to revolutionize the nfl with hybrid players to cover tight ends. Like higbee. Gaither, stew Bradley, McCoy, gocong, etc etc etc fn etc

Was sad to see what happened to Bradley. Kid had promise until eagles flight night.

Didn't he get knocked loopy against GB? He was never the same after that.

I LOL'ed at this wikipedia entry. Who does this remind you of

McCoy was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft as a project linebacker whom Eagles personnel felt they could develop.[1] McCoy was expected to contribute to special teams, but did not contribute in his rookie season. Going into 2006, he was named the weakside linebacker starter by Defensive Coordinator Jim Johnson. Initially he had been praised as having great speed, sideline to sideline pursuit abilities and a high motor, as well as described as a "ball hawk".

Time is a f'ing circle

I don’t remember that. I know he tore his ACL on eagles flight night the year after our nfc championship game loss to the cards. Never the same after that.

Yes he did he actually had a concussion. Came right back in. The NFL was not happy about that and after that came out with a concussion protocol. It was Week 1 versus Green Bay the year Kevin Kolb went out by halftime and Michael Vick took over

We had that studebaker kid too. He was ok for a while, on the chiefs

Steward Bradley was decent/going to be decent until he was donzo.

my screenshots have this amazing ability to do a thing called stop time.  looking at them, you may think that wentz has this window to get the ball to goedert in the back of the endzone...  but you have to remember..  ramsey was moving WITH goedert in those screenshots.  his hips were open to goedert.  ramsey was the reason goedert looked open.  he was baiting carson the whole way.

a ball thrown to goedert would have been heavily contested or picked.  carson was still going through his progressions and by the time screenshot 3 happened, ramsey could've planted and drove.  screenshot 3 is where ramsey had the best view of both carson and goedert.  heck, even before that.  ramsey had eyes on carson nearly the whole time.  whether it's to the back of the endzone or somewhere else, ramsey would've been able to play goedert and the ball.

look at ramsey in every one of my screenshots...  his eyes are on carson.  no matter where carson would've thrown that ball to try and get it to goedert, ramsey would've been there.
