I haven't gotten the chance to go back and review the game yet.  I gave myself a 48 hour break from football after Sunday.  What's the general consensus of what happened Sunday?

I know the defense didn't look good.  Wentz had an off day, etc.  How was the offensive line play?  WR's?  RB's?

Is your plan to re-watch that immediately after ripping off your own fingernails with rusty pliers and just before testing the structural integrity of your front door on your head?

😀Damn bro.  You have to tell me what you drank.  I have the house to myself the weekend of the Oct 3 and I have no rules.

I honestly don't drink that much, often.  I decided against getting the NFL Sunday package this year because last year I watched a total of 6 games on it so the average per game came to around $60.

So I figured this year, better off supporting some local businesses (especially with what's going on) so I've watched the first 2 games in outside seating areas of local sports bars.  (In case people were wondering, they are kept at 50% capacity here, you're at least 6 feet away from other groups,  and facemasks are required anytime you get up from your seat.)

But to answer your question, it started off with some Miller Lite's....but as the game progressed and it started to become painful to watch...a few Jägermeister shots (may or may not have been ordered). :lol:

I guess heart disease, cancer, and diabetes got deported.

There are many cancers probably why it's not included in the metric. Heart disease kills thousands of americans around the world and it's not a virus or something one can take a vaccine it's more a product of bad health choices. Diabetes I'm not sure the number on diabetes I'm going to guess though that majority of people in America that die from diabetes die from complications due to type 2 diabetes which again like heart disease is a preventable disease with proper diet and exercise.

Having said that I'm not sure why things like heart disease and diabetes wasn't included maybe they don't fit the parameters of the metric that was made to tell a narrative.

.having said that I think the thought that americans lifestyle is unhealthy has been reaffirmed.

Come on people, get on with your lives. In my state the death rate from Covid is  1.60%.  Most of those coming in nursing homes in the St. Louis area.

Just use a bit of common sense. Of course common sense isn't common any more

I get that 1.6% doesn't "seem high" but trust me, it is.

To be clear, 1.6% would be 1600% (or 16x) more deadly than the Flu.

Watching Carson Wentz play is 3,200,000% more deadly than the flu.  You should be required to wear a mask over your eyes.

I'd say it's perfectly reasonable to criticize Wentz for his play in the last two games, while still thinking it would be foolish to move on from him. You seem to take any slight of his play as a directive to put in Hurts or someone else.

I understand the criticism, I just think it’s getting overboard with the critiques of his mechanics when people have said that literally every game

Ive never agreed with that critique, first off.  But secondly, it’s opportunistic to say it now—and not when he had success—to spike the football and say "See? I knew his mechanics were off.”

People were in here trying to pretend like that’s the end-all, be-all.  "His form was good that one great game he had and then it was bad that one bad game he had...”

its nonsense IMO.  I don’t think his struggles have anything to do with his footwork.  Its way down the list.

His footwork didnt cause either of those interceptions Sunday, and we’ve seen him make elite level plays with bad mechanics

What's the common sense?

200,000 deaths from covid leads the world.

US has what 6% of the world's population and 22% of the covid deaths?

I'm not sure what's being argued here?

The second wave of the spanish flu killed more than the first wave.

Health officials are predicting by January deathtoll from covid will be over 400,000

Just wear a mask wash your hands social distance it's not difficult.

One can say well I'm not worried if I get sick, that's awesome good for you but how bout all the other people like me who have compromised immune systems that you can spread it to.

Common sense is seeing that their is a virus in the US that is killing thousands of people day while other countries have single digits to zero deaths or even cases a day.

Just because where you live people aren't dropping like flies doesn't mean country wide people aren't dying that shouldn't.

It's the equivalent of saying global warming is farce because it's snowing where you live. 🤔

Always got to remember, talking to a group who applauded putting up a mural of KOBE

KOBE!  In Philadelphia.

KOBE! muh god

His footwork on the bad pick when he forced it into the endzone on a blanketed JJAW was atrocious!  His stride was way over and he ended up doing a split when he releases that ball.

To say footwork isn’t a big deal is ignorant.

I was told on this very board that people in Philly don't care about kobe

A mural of him would seem to suggest otherwise.

I feel I've been misinformed by those on the board🤨

Look at some of the best throws in his career, his feet are a little off

this is overblown.  The quick screen to DJ?  Sure, his form is sloppy as he’s trying to rush the play.

But this "mechanics” issue is overblown IMO.  Who wants to criticize Mahomes’ mechanics?  He literally has thrown no look passes

Mahomes is the very definition of anomaly.  No other QB can throw like that.  You'd be surprised and how very small changes in mechanics can effect a throw.  Look at mlb pitchers and hitters. Very very small changes can cause huge problems.

The team put up the mural, after he died.

People in Philly only started caring about Kobe when the video of him celebrating the Eagles SB win was online.

I think one of the issues is that we have seen Wentz make some of those "off-balance" and ill-advised throws in the past but it just does not seem to work for him anymore.

I think the point would be that it's unclear whether Wentz's mechanics are off from when he was throwing well last season or whether it's something else.

To say footwork isn’t a big deal is ignorant.

Wentz footwork is a big deal.

Bill walsh used to say when evaluating a qb he would look at his feet.

He compared qb ing to a dance.

Joe montana wasn't the biggest guy didn't have biggest arm but he had great footwork.

Go watch a guy like marino who had a cannon for an arm ignore his arm and watch his feet on his drops, his base and feet are always in the right position in his drops and on his throws.

About the only guy I've ever seen that can consistently make accurate throws off balance off back foot is aaron rodgers, and his ability to do that consistently is an abberation not something to be emulated or coached or strive for.

Carson's footwork is a mess and it's lazy also seems since the added weight hes lost some quickness as a runner and with ability to avoid the rush.

Either that or pederson and co have drummed it in his head to deliver the ball in fave of pressure and take the hit as seems there are too frequent times when Wentz see the rush and stands right in front of it and takes a sack or a hit and delivers an inaccurate or disturbed pass or takes a hit or sack instead of moving away from the pressure and throwing on the run something he's been really good at

We hated the Lakers. If you're going to paint a mural, Put Iverson on it.

Cancer, heart disease, etc. are background events. The list citing the Civil War, WW I, etc. are extraordinary events.

Awesome, you handpicked 3 of the most backwards offenses in football.

I picked 3 of the best 10 offenses in the NFL. The point is that you can win in a variety of different ways.

You may prefer speed, but you can win with power. You may prefer 11, but you can win with 12/21. You may want pocket passers, but you can win with mobile QBs.

My biggest problem is that Doug seems incapable of optimizing 12 personnel and Carson is too erratic to unlock his weapons.

Schwartz said his gameplan was too simplistic

America is one of... or the only country that has inclusions in its covid numbers. Once you realize this you'll realize its a farce

If someone in Italy dies of a heart attack, he died of a heart attack

If someone dies of a heart attack and showed symptoms(not tested, not confirmed, just showed symptoms) its considered a covid related death

I belive the number was healthy, happy americans who died of covid and covid only was only 5.5% of the actually 200K. which makes the fatality rate around ,04

And then when you take out the elderly that 0.04 number turned to like .008

There's no point in talking to people who are afraid.
