It would only be projection if I'm a football coach. If you think I'm reading too far into things, that's fine, but it's not how projection works.

Thanks for the lesson.

How does this make sense at all? I mean they still gave up 16 points after but this is terrible.   I swear if the Eagle wanted to raise money they should auction off an opportunity to yell at the coaches in a post-game press conference.

I would bid!!!!

There is substantial scientific evidence though that suggests wearing a mask is an effective way to reduce the spread of corona virus

It’s gonna be a real kicker when this is one of the mildest flu seasons this year.  It will almost be like masks stop the spread of viruses.

Maybe he thought the game plan was to blame early and the player execution was to blame after?

That’s a little much.

Good job bud.  Probably shouldn’t post while driving.  But you’re making a big difference in here chiming in on others.

You're such a tool ,give it a rest.

Your post consist of two things , saying eagles suck and name calling.

It would be great if somehow both the offense AND the defense (at the same time) could not embarrass themselves against the Bungles

On a fresh note...If the Eagles actually secure a top 10 pick (I don't think they will), I would trade back into the teens targeting Jaylen Waddle.  And if they turn things around and finish where I expect, Waddle will be there for their own pick.

May sound like speed overkill, but it's not.  Goodwin is already dead to me and should be to you too.  Hightower/Watkins are 5th and 6th round total fliers who barely have any right to factor into the picture.  JJAW, Desean, and Ward do not factor in here.

So we have ONE WIDE RECEIVER...a still completely unproven rookie...Reagor, who actually figures to be a part of things moving forward.

Waddle has enough of a resume and tape to be a rock-solid selection in the middle of round 1 after a tough 2020 to scout.

Then allocate the ENTIRE rest of the draft to the best OL or edge rusher available.

At some point all the WRs in the world won't matter if one can block and tackle.

Football at it's most fundamental level is blocking and tackling. Eagles have been pretty bad at both this year.

Against the Washington the blocking was atrocious against the rams the blocking was better and the tackling was atrocious.

Eagles need better blockers and tacklers and I agree pass catchers too.

They do punt well though so there's that.

Then we can trade up with our second and take Jalen Mayfield. We can be the Philadelphia Ja(y)lens

Shwartz saying I should have come up with a more complex game plan when the dude has had the most vanilla defensive scheme in the league for 4 years is laughable.

Schwartz doesn't have any complexity.

It's rush 4 drop 7 in the same zone every play. Don't disguise coverage just tell the offense every play exactly where you are going to be what you are doing then get frustrated when they beat it.🤬

Non heroes don't normally get murals so whose the dunce now?

There are murals out there for George Floyd.  I am not minimizing his death but dying at the hands of a murderer is not heroic. His life record wasn’t heroic.  Leading a rebellion to maintain slavery is not heroic either. Frankly, we really shouldn’t deify individuals, including sports players and coaches, politicians, military leaders etc., with statues and murals.  My definition of heroism is different than yours.

Don't you think an edge rusher is a higher priority?

Jim johnson would agree with this.!

The issue with an OL investment is LT.  They traded up in round 1 for Dillard.  Dillard is strictly LT only.  He's so limited to that role that he's not even ideal to have on the roster as a backup, as we saw last year at RT.

With the draft position the Eagles will likely have, a round 1 investment in the OL is likely in a new LT.

Do we really want to punt on a first round pick after 2 years?

I say roll the dice, give Dillard a shot in 2021, and stack up on interior OL guys in rounds 2-4.

I'd gladly take an edge rusher in round 1 if they were the better player.  I just don't suspect that opportunity will present itself.

I think Waddle may be the perfect intersection in the tricky 2020 draft of good value, good player, great athlete, major need, AND adequate film/production/information.

I don't want to force pick Barnett 2.0 just because an edge rusher with some production has a first round label.

The george floyd mural in my opinion is as a face of a heroic movement, for lack of a better term he was the lynch pin of that movement.

I don't think too many people are going to argue floyd was a hero.

Having said that the use of the word hero seems to be a source of consternation among a few posters I should amend the word hero and specify "sports hero" it's not like I called him a rapist...

Waddle is a top five pick

He's one of my favorite players in the draft, but I'd still be surprised to see that.  He's 5'10.  And while I like him a lot more than Chase, I doubt anyone else does.

2 WRs top 5 is very rare and is usually reserved for Calvin Johnson/Andre Johnson type prospects.

1) Eagles are a top 10 pick

2) I think Waddle will go before the Eagles get to pick

I do think Waddle can be better than both Ruggs & Reagor.  But so few mocks have him going anywhere near that high.

Maybe Waddle will Reagor the combine and be more attainable.

I wonder if the Raiders approach of hiring Mike Mayock—ie, someone who is totally wrapped up in the NFL draft world—will become a trend

it seems pretty straightforward, the guy knows college football inside and out and lived and breathed football prospect analysis

I hope that is what we do.  The Raiders draft class in 2019 is really good.

Teams have already approached Daniel Jeremiah (including us). I believe Todd McShay was offered some kind of job in a scouting department.
