"Carson Wentz's 40.7% on-target pass rate is currently the lowest of any starter in the NFL, and he leads the NFL with eight turnover-worthy plays (almost one-third of the way to his 25 from a year ago) after two games. "

It's the QB.

These values in isolation are hard to interpret.

Did the WR run a good route (right place, right time)?

Did the WR make a play on the ball?

Was the QB hit?

Was the QB under pressure and running for his life?

Was it a throw away?

Did the WR get separation?

Another bad miss.

This was the most frustrating part of that game. The OL was great all game and wentz couldn't do anything

People will tell you he just missed a couple of throws. He was inaccurate all day. Even a lot of his completions were harder than they needed to be.

I wish we were. Instead we’re turning it over at a high rate.

For Mike...

The Chiefs design their offense for Mahomes to drop back that far to neutralize the pass rush a bit. Mahomes can get away with it more than other quarterbacks because of his arm talent. It's very unconventional, but they've had a lot of success with it the last couple years.

2 misses in clean pockets. How many more yards does Reagor get?

Reagor got open against Ramsey there BTW.

Good to know that we liked good LB prospects...

He did look open

Look like Ramsey was right there and jogged at the end. The safety didn't commit enough to not have the ability to recover. I won't get on Wentz for this one.

He was open.  The throw had to be released earlier or he had to place the ball higher and towards the back of the endzone.

Sometimes the players on the other team make great plays.

yup that could have been 6 if perfectly thrown and times, but wentz was late and might have been scared to lead JJAW too much bc the rams safety is on the other side.

that one is ESPECIALLY painful to watch.  we got reagor specifically for his ability to pop the top off of defenses.  i don't know if wentz is especially rusty or he is just regressing into what he actually is, but something needs to be done.  either he improves or he has to sit.  clean pockets he doesn't step into, easy pitch and catch throws which are off target or missed, and bad decisions that are sometimes turned into picks are NOT what a franchise quarterbacks are supposed to be.

I agree the defender did catch up fast and make a great play. Open one second and covered the next. Thats football

We are just not used to seeing it with our DBs.

It was super impressive to render Aaron Donald as a non-factor.  I wonder how many snaps he was over Herbig and how many over Seumalo/Pryor.  I also remember the Rams lining Donald up at DE against Peters.

The way the o-line played, Wentz could have easily had a 350 yard, 3 TD day.

That was the throw where i said he was throwing flat footed.

Wentz is getting piled up on big time, thats for sure. Just a few weeks ago people were mad he wasn't in the top 100 players

It's warranted.

Yeah in the worst way.  I normally beat the O-Line and D-Line drum to an annoying degree.  But now I'm on the mountain screaming it.   See the current players on the roster, age, injuries and other notes.  It's bad.

DE Barnett- 24, often injured and not very impactful.

DE Avery- 25, never gets on the field.

DT Cox- 29 and losing steam.

DE Graham- 32...

DT- Hargrave- 27..hope

DT- Jackson- 30

DE- Sweat- 24. Lone glimmer of light for the future at DE?

DE- Toohill- 24....??

DE- Curry- 32 IR

OG Brown- 27.  Journeyman

OT Driscoll- 23.  Remains to be seen.

OG Herbig- 22.  Remains to be seen.

OT Johnson- 30

C Kelce- 32

OT Mailata- 23.  Project in year 3.

OG Opeta- 24.  Remains to be seen.

OT Peters- BC.  Should have retired already.

OG Pryor- 25.  Promise....a little.

OG Seumalo- 26.  Solid....currently hurt.

OT Dillard- 24.  IR.  Still a huge ?

OG Brooks- 31.  PUP list....again.

OT Wanogho - 22. remains to be seen. (if knee is okay)

C/G Juriga - 23 Remains to be seen.

Quite possibly -

Top 50% LT - Dillard

Quality LG - Driscoll

Top 50% C - Seumalo

Top 5% RT - Lane ( at turning 30, a little early to send in retirement)

Spot starter quality C/G - Herbig, maybe Juriga, at G maybe Opeta  as you say with the last two, remains to be seen. Opeta was a small school prospect.  On the ground more than I liked and still learning.  If he can’t play another position may be too limited in the NFL.  Juriga, also a small school player needing development but his pulling and getting to the second level was top notch.  A year under Stoutland and it is possible he plays C and Seumalo stays at G.  (Eagles have a history of developing solid FA Cs - Fraley and Jackson). Pryor is journeyman level swing player

Wanogho/Mailata Should produce a Big V replacement from the two of them. Mailata’s athleticism and Wanogho’s feet suggest they might even be spot starters

Better OL depth than credited  I like the moves there over the last couple years.  Will they all pan out? No but more will than credited.  Look around the NFL.  OL starters and depth run the full length of the draft, including UDFAs

DL, heck D in general, needs same focus.  I expect a starter at CB next year.  Decent CB depth in the draft.  Heck, I could see a Shepherd/Brown type draft. Decent Edge and S prospects day 2   Heck, after the first two weeks of college ball this fall, I am versed in Little Sisters of the Mercy stars.  Maybe I can find a decent day three DT or LB.
