He was open.  The throw had to be released earlier or he had to place the ball higher and towards the back of the endzone.

Yup. If that ball is throw earlier and to the back of the end zone it’s either a td or JJAW drops it cause it’s jjaw

Good to know that we liked good LB prospects...

I was convinced that Logan Wilson was the guy the Eagles were going to draft in R2. I thought he ticked all the boxes to eventually become the leader of this D. Never saw the Jalen Hurts selection coming!

Eagles could have taken Davis-Gaither in R3, but evidently liked Davion Taylor better.

Browns absolutely gashed CIN on the ground — 434 yards of offense on 219 yards passing and 215 yards rushing.  People were all over Mayfield going into that game as well; he was at least a semi-efficient 16/23 for 219 and 2TD/1INT.

Doug doesn’t need to overthink the game plan on this one.  I’ll be ticked off big time if this one is a 17-17 game in the 4th qtr and the pass/run is over 70% pass again.

why? are you afraid that im right? if you want to keep defending howie then dont expect anything different in the next 5 to 10 years.

Mayock doesn't know more than other GMs.  Howie's problem isn't a lack of information.  It's his inability to effectively apply the information he has.  I mean choosing JJaw over DK Metcalf is a perfect example.

It depends. Geno Atkins and Mike Daniels weren't playing. If they're both in, you can't just blindly run the ball.

Guessing Trevor Williams gets signed to the active roster

2 guys who are going to be head and shoulders above anything Davion Taylor becomes.

People will tell you he just missed a couple of throws. He was inaccurate all day. Even a lot of his completions were harder than they needed to be.

I wish we were. Instead we’re turning it over at a high rate.

I was pretty hard on Herbig after week 1.  Haven't really watched his tape but some highlights look OK.  He really needs to spend the offseason with Brandon Brooks and get in shape.  If he could lose the baby fat and become more muscle dense rather than tubby he could turn in to a player.

Who ‘blindly runs the ball’?

Daniels and DJ Reader were at DT in Week 1 and the Chargers ran at almost 5 yards per carry with a scrub like Tyrod Taylor at QB.  It seems rational if you believe Wentz’s regression is "a good question” as Pederson apparently does — it may be a good game plan to take some of the load off of him.

I can’t believe this should be in question.

The Mike Warren watch is over. His paper work came through and he's now officially on the PS roster.

Lol, they finally listed him on the roster?

On the PS roster, which now sits at 17.  Wonder if someone is getting called up with Seumalo going to IR, or does Leo not count towards the 16?

Leo does not count.

It was super impressive to render Aaron Donald as a non-factor.  I wonder how many snaps he was over Herbig and how many over Seumalo/Pryor.  I also remember the Rams lining Donald up at DE against Peters.

Seemed like he was lined up over LG Seumalo/Pryor the most. Peter was helping Seumalo out a lot. Not sure I saw him over RG at all

It was a neck injury. No one knew that he'd play like this. They took a chance with an injury draft prospect the year before and it didn't work out. It's understandable that they didn't want to chance it with DK

Wentz is getting piled up on big time, thats for sure. It was just a few eeks ago people were mad he wasn't in the top 100 players

We was one last year. He hasn’t been to start this season.

also note lane and peters back at the line of scrimmage watching others hustle down field even kelce was down field blocking. you would think the ones getting paid would set examples of how to work hard.

Reagor targets...I forgot how many times Wentz threw him balls on slants into incoming defenders.

Perhaps they feel are disgruntled? They may be unhappy about the way this team is headed? Or unhappy about the Peters pay issue and how their veterans are being treated? We don't know of course I'm just putting ideas out there.

JJaw is a worse WR than DK Metcalf.  I don't think that's arguable.  They picked him before DK.  It was a mistake.  I am not saying it was without reason but it was a bad decision.  It was unduly influenced by the miss on Jones.  The difference is that an achilles injury has much more impact on football performance than a potential future neck injury.

This team reminds me of the 2012 team. Unsatisfying QB situation. Poor coaching hires. Coming off several rough draft classes. Still, talent is better than advertised and being held back by something greater.

Feels like a bottom out year. Only thing I'm scared of is 7-9.

Pretty sure lots of teams passed on DK because of that neck injury

If Philly drafted him, Metcalf probably gets clobbered after a Wentz hospital ball and is never the same again.

He also wasn't a productive college receiver.  I mean Howie isn't the only GM making bad picks.  It's just there's no reason to sugar coat it.  The Hurts pick this year given the performance of the other rookies and the holes on defense deserves scrutiny.
