Ah yes, there is that.   Patience Grasshopper.

That quote and when Doug said after the SB win this would be the Eagles "new normal"  make me puke.  Whenever I hear leadershiop say "new normal" after a productive period I know they ****s immediately and have no clue how to lead.

What are YOU talking about?  Doug wrote a book.  People who write books already know everything.  😂

I love watching Slay. A guy who can just stick on a WRs hip and mirror every move is just amazing to watch. We havent had a cover guy like him in a long, long time.

Im not gonna say hes a better player than Asante. Asante had INT numbers that people will always put a ton of stock in to. But Asante couldnt man cover like Slay does and thats just a way more impressive skill. Pick your flavor. For me Slay is the guy.

Good God, who in the hell is going to coach him up?  Pederson?  Taylor?  If the hope is Hurts gets coached up, his career is already shot with thos group of clowns.  All they do is coach people down.  To me, the two groups the do improve and get more from less are the RB and offensive line groups.  The rest of the team is coached by guys who quantitatively make players worse.

agreed. I dont know why everyone says it was such a bad read and JJAW was never open. He was, but he didnt run is route well enough to be open by the time the ball got there. His stem was horrible, and he rounded the route at the top. And the CB still had to make a hell of a play to come away with the diving INT.  I dont blame Carson for this INT. That was JJAW all the way.

Similar bad use of resources? Sure. Worse than Hurts? Nahh. RBC worked for Eagles in ‘17, having a strong, dynamic running attack would help win games.

Agreed.  There was still a lot of talent left on the board at RB for their 2nd round pick.  It wouldn't have been my first choice, but it would have been nice to have Dobbins or Dillon contributing immediately.

Doug Pederson disagrees. He called it unacceptable.

Jason Myrtetus of 97.5 reporting Seumalo is done for the season with knee surgery that will keep him out 3 months.

He's not usually a guy who breaks Eagles news so take it FWIW.

He was open.  The throw had to be released earlier or he had to place the ball higher and towards the back of the endzone.

This happened a few times last year and JJAW was the WR on 1 or 2 of them Carson to a fault puts the ball where it should be if the WR was where he is supposed to be. Even though the WR is not where he is supposed to be.

These are the kind of things you do in practice. The coach sees it and knows why the INT happened and he yells at the WR for being in the wrong spot. Its a teaching moment for the WR.

In a game, its a turn over and it doesnt really help much that you might have got the WR chewed out on the sideline. You left points off the board.

I feel like Carson put this ball where JJAW should have been, had he not rounded his route and he would have been in better position to shield the CB from the ball taking a flatter angle on the route. IF JJAW was where he was supposed to be, its the right throw to make.

I just dont get why Carson seems to be that stubborn in game time. Either put it where hes going, or dont throw it if its not there.

How many times in practice have you heard the coach yell at a QB, or a PG to say... run the play the way its supposed to be run. If that other guy made a mistake, Im going to yell at him. Dont you make a mistake because hes doing the wrong thing! Wentz is doing that imo. But, its a problem when hes doing it during games.

He’s a head coach who called the play and happens to be a former quarterback.  Seems like a solid source to me.

yeah I know. Pederson says a lot of weird things.

And Wentz probably could have adjusted to what JJAW was doing but I think he threw it to the spot JJAW was supposed to be going to and the CB just ran his route better than he did. Its stupid of Wentz to do, but JJAW was doing the wrong thing all the way.

As a former QB he was a career benchwarmer who never had the arm to complete a pass like that at any level.  I have more confidence in Wentz to start playing well than I do in Pederson to start coaching well at this moment.

Part of its attachment is the medial meniscus. Occasionally an MCL tear can tear some of the meniscus as well. Those are the ones that youll see repaired.

Gotta love how a short term IR thing 2 days ago becomes likely out for the season with surgery though. Love this medical staff.

At least we have Herbig coming along very well, and Brown is  backup with plenty of starting experience. I feel ok about our guard situation right now.

Ok. That doesn’t make Doug wrong, but I’m sure a handful of bloggers know better.

Doug Pederson rarely seems like a solid source in press conferences. Guarantee you hes not giving you what hes giving the players in the film sessions.

We dont necessarily know better. We just know that usually what he tells us isnt true. He has more knolwedge than any of us but thats likely only being shared with the players. Certainly not in press conferences. You know that...

Exactly. Also could of been a factor in Washington game. Having reliable running game after 17 point lead could be the difference between us being 0-2 and 1-1.

He threw it because he completed a similar pass last season to Sanders by utilizing his arm strength.  I said before it was an ill-advised throw because it will sometimes get picked off.

Pederson better learn really quickly to support his core players in public.  If he’s going to spout stuff like "good question” and "unacceptable” in public when his franchise QB needs his coach’s public support, their relationship will go sour.

Even a blogger knows that

Sure, but when it’s fairly obvious Wentz was at fault and the coach adamantly confirms that, I don’t think we need to look at still frames to try to defend the QB. Bad read, bad throw, bad mechanics. All on Wentz.

Its most obvious that JJAW ran his route like a peewee player would.

Nothing Doug says in a press conference ever confirms anything we all know that by now.

You can get on wentz for literally just about every single other throw he made in the game. Even his completions were mostly bad throws. That INT though.... JJAW.

Wentz is a big boy. He can take some public criticism. Maybe he should worry more about protecting the ball.
