He did look open

He assumed JJAW would actually react to the ball and not continue running his route into the locker room like he was chasing a butterfly

The Flyers look really promising.  They are at a pivotal spot though.  They have some important and big decisions to make with some aging veterans who have been here for a while.

Yup. They're a legitimate contender. Once Ghost gets traded, they'll have the opportunity for more balance in the lineup.

After this I will take a Doug break;

There is, obviously, a difference between understanding what you want to be vs what you are.  Doug, to me, coaches to what he wants the team to be rather than coaching to what they are, on offense.  This is my gripe and why I think he is just not a good coach.  He could turn it around.  I hope he does.

My question to Lurie would be does Doug have the emotional intelligence to coach to help the team or coach to his idea of what the team should be?

Dodged a bullet here.

Grim days for Philly sports. Next closest to win a championship might be the....yeah no clue

Flyers look to have a pretty bright future.

Phillies aren't even close

They need to get rid of klentak first

Another Saturday. Another Date.  John & Ruth .

Watching the game right now. (Was away on Sunday and listened to it via Reese) So far in the first half it's the D that really sucks. Missed call on running into the kicker that would have extended our drive, Goedert has to catch a ball that hits him in both hands i don't care how high it is. JJaw needs benched and never to return again. He does not have "it". Going for a run now. I'll watch the 2nd half when I get back.

I remember screaming at my tv about the kicker. How do you not see the guy on the ground

personally, i think Do it Again is a better song and more accurate.

And you think today is going to be better
Change the world and do it again
Give it all up and start all over
You say you will but you don't know when

Be careful what you wish for. Have every intention 🤣  Have a Fantastic week Philadelphia

Wentz to JJAW. I'm throwing that ball too. Great play by the dback.

Yea, the Phillies IMO are a mess.  They have high paid stars but their pitching both starting and pen are just a mess.  They need to do everything in their power to sign JT this winter.  If they don't and Sixto keeps improving that's a franchise shifting trade mishap.

The Flyers are head and shoulders above everyone.  I think the Eagles, Sixers and Phillies are all stuck in this mediocre but competitive place.  They are all pre-process Sixers right now.  I have no idea who of the 3 is going to take that next jump.  The three teams in all honesty would probably benefit from being blown up and starting over.  If not it's going to be wash rinse and repeat for the next 5 years for them.

I didn't get to watch the game.  What happened with the kicker?

Johnson kind of got clotheslined and the announcers were too busy to mention it because they both had their mouths full of Aaron Donald.

There was a non call on a Running into , actually it was probably a roughing the Punter.

Officiating crews are letting them play early on which is right. No Big deal

They mentioned it.

Yes they are.  You're being silly.

Get rid of Klentak, no doubt.  Should have never survived the Gabe fiasco.  But when they sign JT (and they will) they have a good squad for next year.

I think the Phillies are a playoff caliber team, but they're at least 3-4 pitching arms away from a true contender.

I'm probably a dinosaur but I still think you need 3 good starting pitchers and a very good bullpen.  The Phillies do have Nola and Wheeler; we'll see if Elfin can become the #3, but instead of a really good bullpen they have a really bad one.  I think they currently have the #5 run-scoring offense in MLB, so they do have the bats.  Not sure where they rank in defense.

Funny how they didn't "let em play" on the Boston Scott return.

not sure what the consensus was in here but this loss was not on Carson. Defense was the culprit. I did see someone say that Ertz looked like he was sleep walking.  I didn't see that at all.

Consensus was Carson's so bad mechanically, its amazing he can throw a ball at all. Fire sale of the team, to tank for Trevor Lawrence but trade back for more picks..

Oh so now the #SafeSpacers are on to Strategy TWO...

Blame it on the Refs.

Shaddup. Gear up and get back in the Ring

It aint personal.  Listen. I've got better things to do than point out fatal "flaws" in reasoning. Have a fantastic week.

Best thing to do is put these first two weeks "in the past" . Moving on to the Bengals.

Nothing is gained walking into any room already declaring yourself the loser but knock yourself out.

Defense and Carson.  He can't continue to have excuses made for him.  He is not leading this offense like a Vet "Star" QB should.  Plain and simple.  The Field General is responsible for the success of the unit on the field.  He's failing at that and also not personally playing well.

In my book can't pin this week's loss on Carson. He missed throws absolutely  he played 10 times better than last week.
