So is Pryor playing LG?

Its most obvious that JJAW ran his route like a peewee player would.

Nothing Doug says in a press conference ever confirms anything we all know that by now.

You can get on wentz for literally just about every single other throw he made in the game. Even his completions were mostly bad throws. That INT though.... JJAW.

I don't get it, the guy who drew up the play says it was the QB's fault, but you think he's just chewing out his $30million QB for what?  To protect the feelings of a receiver who will drop to 5th on the depth chart the second Alshon Jeffery can run?

In my book can't pin this week's loss on Carson. He missed throws absolutely  he played 10 times better than last week.

It's about time someone said something positive.  He was told to check down, he checked down.  He was told to get the ball out faster, he got the ball out faster.

Wentz did a lot of things better in Week 2 than he did in Week 1.  Is he playing to his ability?  Absolutely not, but there was improvement over his effort in WASH and he'll look better this Sunday

And on Wednesday, the Wentz apologists come out from hiding.  I guess you’ve figured 3 days was enough time to have forgotten what we saw on Sunday.

Wentz sucked and Gym Shortz and company were a sieve.

Wentz was absolutely awful on Sunday and to try to paint a different picture is delusional.  His footwork and mechanics are alarmingly bad through two games.  But his lack of vision and bad decision making through two games is downright shocking.

I don’t agree that this is a TD to Reagor because the safety was able to peel off and cover it up quite easily, but it’s still nice to see him beat the corner deep by a couple of steps.

not sure what the consensus was in here but this loss was not on Carson. Defense was the culprit. I did see someone say that Ertz looked like he was sleep walking.  I didn't see that at all.

How could you watch Carson on Sunday (and really the past 2+ years) and have any hope in him being more than an erratic .500 QB at best, or a regressing team killer at worst?

My God, when the Negadelphians get Fuel.  WATCH out.

You going to "burn it all down" if you don't get what you want?

Defense and Carson.  He can't continue to have excuses made for him.  He is not leading this offense like a Vet "Star" QB should.  Plain and simple.  The Field General is responsible for the success of the unit on the field.  He's failing at that and also not personally playing well.

yup and it also starts from the top too. if we are going to rebuild and be successful we have to bring in a great gm and great coaching staff and build around a healthy qb, wentz isnt the same qb, we have to move on from it and start fresh if this team ever wants to get back to being successful.

Agreed on the TD. I was more surprised he didn't throw to DeSean.

Reagor's good!

Wentz to JJAW. I'm throwing that ball too. Great play by the dback.

Lol this placed had an uproar over his decision to throw it

Johnson kind of got clotheslined and the announcers were too busy to mention it because they both had their mouths full of Aaron Donald.

I think they mentioned it but completely ignored the fact that it was a penalty. I was shocked it wasn't called. How do you not see the guy on the ground.

They were definitely obsessed over Donald. They wouldn't shut the hell up about him

It was unbearable with the Wentz hate

Well it was pretty easy actually.

I imagine it would be for a delusional person.

So, in practical terms .... what's your plan moving forward?  Take the QB who has thrown 81 TD and 21 INT over the past 3 seasons (all playoff teams) and bench him for the last 14 games for .... Sudfeld, who has never shown anything in the NFL? Hurts, who has taken 3 NFL snaps?  Or maybe you think it's practical to give up a ton of draft capital for a QB in the first 3 picks of next year's draft?

Maybe, just maybe .... if you're a good NFL coach -- you can stop trashing him to the media and get to work on developing what has been objectively a top-half NFL QB

It's been 2 games -- talk about fair weather, bandwagon fans      :nonono:

Anyone who thinks the throw to JJAW wasn’t 100% on Carson is lost.  Even Doug said that was a bad decision on Cataldi’s show when he was asked about the throw.  Furthermore, look at his footwork on the throw!  He was almost doing a split.  It’s a classic example of an over stride that HS qb’s are taught NOT to do.  The still shot of Carson is literally a "What Not to Do” you would show JV QB’s.

Seems like it.  And good god is he a big mfer

When Mailata is inevitably the LT, that will be one gigantic side of the line.

Ain't gonna happen.  That project is about ready to go on the top shelf of the closet in the guest room.  Never to be seen again.

I meant when Peters inevitably gets hurt. Unless they plan on bumping Pryor outside and play a PS player at LG.

When did Hurts take 3 snaps?  Did I miss something?

Disclaimer: I did turn the game off with about 3 mins to go.

Throughout the game he lined up at WR

Wentz needs a proven OC/QB coach to come in and help him shine. It cant be nobodies like Groh and Press Taylor. It needs to be guys who have a proven track record of having guys flourish in different systems. A lot of us wanted Jim Caldwell as the OC for this exact reason. A guy like Norv turner would have worked as well. We saw what happen with Wentz with a guy like Reich, but nope the Eagles want to reinvent the wheel and go without an OC all together and we wonder why wentz is among the worst qbs in the league through 2 weeks

Haha, he was a decoy on 3 plays pretty early on -- which is another minor beef I have with Doug; it's pretty pointless using Hurts as a decoy to draw coverage if he's not going to follow the logical progression to give him the ball on a subsequent play .... unless Hurts was drawing so much coverage away that it opened up the defense for other guys to make a big play, which I never saw.

Some people have watched more than 2 games

8 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Yep.  I've been saying for a while now.  His misses are mostly high, because his base is too low or he sits too much.  Needs to be higher.  Not like McNabb who seemed to throw from his toes thus missing low.

Year 5 and Carson’s mechanics have regressed.  Perhaps the lack of an off-season? Or perhaps Carson is actually an uncoachable diva as has been rumored?  Flip should have been hired back but he was apparently pretty hard on Wentz about his mechanics.

Yea, I would like to see someone breakdown those plays. Saw a lot of talk about how it was a cool package, but it looked absolutely pointless to me. What does pump faking to a rookie QB really do?

Plus, CIN is not going to defend those plays the same way the Rams would have, and you've given them the looks already on film -- so it's pretty much starting over again next week.
