Haha, he was a decoy on 3 plays pretty early on -- which is another minor beef I have with Doug; it's pretty pointless using Hurts as a decoy to draw coverage if he's not going to follow the logical progression to give him the ball on a subsequent play .... unless Hurts was drawing so much coverage away that it opened up the defense for other guys to make a big play, which I never saw.

It's just silly to use Hurts in that role.  For starters, you're asking for an injury.  Then you're back up is hurt who you drafted because your starter gets hurt.  Second, we know he isn't getting the ball so they are essentially playing with 10 men on the field.

If he's your backup quarterback, let him be the backup quarterback.  He isn't a gimmick player like Hill.

What always amazes me is the "Impulse" in the face of adversity for "some" folks to immediately wish to adopt the habits of organizations they know are inferior.

It makes me smile to see so many on the right path. Yeah I know I'm a ****. What's it to you?

It's the Internet and "LIFE" is what it is but I've seen a Lot of Movies, lots of Shows,  this one? This one's from 20 years ago and it's still as Great as the Day it was released.

Doug wouldn't say if Seumalo had surgery but said he will be missing more than 3 weeks and is "out for the foreseeable future."

That's a little dramatic don't you think?

2018: 5-6
2019: 9-8
2020: 0-2

Since 2018, he's a .467 quarterback. Accuracy and consistency have remained issues. Fumbling has remained an issue. The only area he's been significantly worse in right now is INTs. This isn't a hot take.

So, in practical terms .... what's your plan moving forward?  Take the QB who has thrown 81 TD and 21 INT over the past 3 seasons (all playoff teams) and bench him for the last 14 games for .... Sudfeld, who has never shown anything in the NFL? Hurts, who has taken 3 NFL snaps?  Or maybe you think it's practical to give up a ton of draft capital for a QB in the first 3 picks of next year's draft?

Maybe, just maybe .... if you're a good NFL coach -- you can stop trashing him to the media and get to work on developing what has been objectively a top-half NFL QB

It's been 2 games -- talk about fair weather, bandwagon fans      :nonono:

Now post the fumbles. Refer to the winning percentage written above. Refer to the team's number of playoff wins with him vs. without him. Wentz's uninspiring play is a multiple season issue; the INTs are a 2020 issue.

WTF would be the point of moving Herbig to LG and Pryor to RG? From the same guy who preached he wants continuity on the line.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh

Grasping at straws at this point.

No idea. The line finally played well even when Pryor came in at RG. Why change that...

Why not let Herbig become comfortable on the right side? Why mess with the continuity again?  Let the best man win at LG.  Unless they think Herbig can be the LG of the future once Brooks comes back to RG next year then you are getting him early work at LG.  Who knows why they do anything anymore.

Kempski asked the question. Lame response from Doug

Pryor has played between Lane/Kelce before. Herbig can play both G spots. If Seumalo is out long-term, then focusing on the big picture is better than one game.

That said, losing 3 starting OL before week 3 is brutal

Stupid Howie. He should have planned for that.

Pryor played between Kelce and Vaitai. The other game he was next to Dillard. I don't think he has ever actually played a game next to Johnson. And either way, Herbig beat out Pryor at RG. So you are putting someone worse at RG and hoping the guy who took exclusively C/RG snaps during TC can play LG. Doesn't make sense.

This is why I continue to question Stoutlands coaching decisions.....

Err....not really perception....just stats.  Wentz has had 20 "off target throws" so far this season.  (Worst in NFL) and 15 out of 20 of those throws were with a "clean pocket".

There are plenty of throws that are lay ups.  See Jared Goff last Sunday.

Are all "off target throws" always the QB's fault? This is what irritates me about all of these "metrics" people come up with, just watching a play and seeing an "off target throw" doesn't mean automatically the QB didn't do his job right. There's 23 other guys involved on the same play every time. Maybe the WR didn't run a precise route, maybe a dlineman got a hand on the QB as he released the ball, maybe a CB forced the QB to throw it farther away from the WR then he wanted to, lots of variables can effect a simple stat.

It’s (finally) a good response from Doug

people need to STFU, people have bad games, they go on slumps

Brady, Rodgers, Manning, every single one of them.  Fans need some perspective before crying for the backup for Christ’s sake
