We might be bad, but at least we're not giving up penalties.

I don't get it, the guy who drew up the play says it was the QB's fault, but you think he's just chewing out his $30million QB for what?  To protect the feelings of a receiver who will drop to 5th on the depth chart the second Alshon Jeffery can run?

I don't think that at all.  You are right.  You didn't get it.

Burrow goes 33 of 40, 410 yards, 3 touchdowns, Eagles get beat 37-33 and we talk about how Carson throw interception

The Eagles track record vs the Bengals isn't good.  I think Burrow goes off on them too.

speaking of delusional you do realize how bad our receivers sucked last year, right?

It doesn't matter .... Mahomes should have had 3 passes picked off in Week 1, and was in a slumber most of Week 2 before waking up .... but when you win it's all washed away.  Wentz had his nay-sayers on here last season, too.  All it took was 2 losses and they're out there on the ledges and rooftops and ringing their bells now.

After this I will take a Doug break;

There is, obviously, a difference between understanding what you want to be vs what you are.  Doug, to me, coaches to what he wants the team to be rather than coaching to what they are, on offense.  This is my gripe and why I think he is just not a good coach.  He could turn it around.  I hope he does.

My question to Lurie would be does Doug have the emotional intelligence to coach to help the team or coach to his idea of what the team should be?

I think you're giving Doug too much credit here honestly.  I don't think he has any clue what to do with this offense.

That reads like a stellar resume for future employment with the Eagles

Philly fans love to hate the starter.

Question

Are we having the "is Wentz the guy" questions if Andy was his coach?

Did you sleep through the McNabb era?

okay time to change things up a bit.

McNabb never played for the Steelers. There was no McNabb era for him.

Guys, Doug knows the reporters dont know football. Hes not going to get film of the play and break down Xs and Os for the reporters. Hes giving short answers and moving on to the next question. He doens thave time to teach them all football and explain the reality of what went wrong on these plays.

If you believe JJAW wasnt at fault on that INT because of Doug's answer, thats on you.

Wentz was right when he said he thought JJAW was open. He was. Wentz didnt anticipate the way he was going to butcher the route. Wentz put the ball where JJAW should have gone and he didnt end up going there because he ran the route so poorly.

Sigh

No I dont follow.

Cause some of think(based on what Reid did with other qb's that Mcnabb F'ing stunk).

For pretty much all of McNabb's career there were a ton of haters.

So yes, if Reid was the coach, we would be having this conversation. Because we did, pretty much the entire time Reid was here.

The one bright spot to a so far crappy season.

I guess that was caused on one of Carson’s hospital passes.

I didn't think wentz was  a top 15 qb ,and stated as much , I still feel the same way.

To me he is right in that 15 area ,maybe a spot or two higher...but certainly not a top 10 nfl qb.

Says the guy who kept touting Winston as "America's QB" STFU and STFD.

🤣

A collapsed lung isn’t all that rare with injections involving the ribs...

Lol.

The coach says the interception was unacceptable. You say he sucks as press conferences so it doesn’t matter.

The QB says he thought he was open but obviously he wasn’t. You say it’s JJAW’s fault.

All we need now is for JJAW to come out and say he ran the route correctly for you to say he’s covering his own arse.

This is ridiculous.

No one is throwing the WR under the bus in the PC. Coach and QBs job is always to take responsibility there.

In the meeting room, JJAW will be chewed out.

Uh huh. So Doug throws the QB under but not the WR? Got it.

the HC and QB always take the heat in front of the media. You say Got it sarcastically like you didnt already know that. Everyone knows that.

Either that or MRSA.  Should have worn his mask.

Could also be from an inaccurate pass that burned his hands as it also killed a worm

I’m not sure how anyone can argue that Wentz ya been inaccurate to start the year, and it’s not just uncatchable passes, it’s passes that make the intended receivers’ job far more difficult than it should be. It’s costing us completions and YAC.

There are a few issues at play — unfamiliarity with his receivers, pressure at times, Wentz’s own poor throws.

Anyone calling for him to be benched is dumb (and I don’t believe I’ve read that in here, but maybe I missed it), but he absolutely deserves a crap ton of criticism for his play.

You missed it. There's been plenty that want Hurts to start now

But did JJAW cry? Inquiring minds would like to know

Yeah that’s because it’s Philadelphia’s favorite past time the back up quarterback is the savior. Meanwhile only one time in Philadelphia eagles history has the back of been the ultimate savior
