Hate to say it, but if you aren’t in the SEC Conference right now then those two games each year are the only true test for evaluation purposes.  I don’t care how he plays against Appalachian Children’s Polytechnic or St Peter Nunnery College — he has to deliver against actual competition.

He looked like a can’t miss as a freshman.  He didn’t look nearly as good last year.  We will see this season in his draft year 

He could sit out this season and he would still be the 1st pick, without question.

If we get one of those guys or if Hurts shows something, we can send Wentz to Bucs to replace Tommy Boy in a year or two!

Stop it.  Unless you're saying you want him back because it would guarantee a top 2-3 pick in the draft every year until the end of his contract.

Bucs will draft a qb this year and see what they got in a 23 year old Rosen

I actually think this could be stopped consistently with sending 9 to kill Carson and only keeping 2 DBs back.  And when I say "back," I mean 2-3 yards off the LOS.  I wish I was joking.  

Wentz isn’t going anywhere. He’s going to play better and win some games. I think Doug would go before him and I’m on board with that.

Are you reading this anywhere?  I haven't seen anything on his return, and I'm way more pessimistic about his injury than others.  Especially for a receiver that has already slowed down significantly.

Since it's only 2 weeks and not a season... I looked for QBs that had 2 horrendous weeks

Never said I wanted to get rid of him. Said he needs to be better. Every qb other than tom brady (cheater) had limited reps with their WRs. Yet those same qbs that haven't had time to build chem with WRs are still making simple routine throws. Cd lamb had 100 yards receiving 2nd game he and dak both had shortened off seasons.

Lack of time with his WRs isn't an excuse when every qb had to deal with same shortened off season.

Even if that were an excuse that wouldn't explain away Wentz poor mechanics. That his mechanics are sloppy in year 5 should be a concern.

Dude needs to get better and be better if not he needs to be gone.

I wouldn't pay much attention to this video.  Sal Pal openly states that he has no access to the locker room after his silly story telling.  Then he compares the situation of McNabb in '08 to Wentz now.  McNabb was in his 9th year.  He was clearly on the decline at that point (especially after '05), AND it was not the beginning of his $100 mil contract......it was much closer to the end.  While I realize Carson's contract is much shorter, we are 2 games into his 5th year.  The thought of benching him for a guy with about 1/4 of the talent is nauseating.  I'm more than willing to pray to the football gods that he gets out of his own head and gets back to what we have already seen. 

Cmon two weeks into the year, they should bench a QB who would  have won the NFL MVP award had he not become injured?  Norm Van Brocklin was the only Eagles who won the award.   McNabb or Cunningham were a big part of great teams....QB always usually win the award.  Lets give him a few more years.   IMO Dawkins, or Reggie White were much better than any of the recent Eagles QBs.
