(Even if Wentz turns it around the trade value alone makes it a no-brainer....if they don't trade that 1st pick for about 3-4 1st round picks before the draft). Lawrence is the highest rated QB prospect since Andrew Luck. They would get a king's ransom for him. Trading out of that pick is the smart thing to do unless your franchise has been absolute dogsheet for years or you need fans in the stands. Neither applies to the Eagles. If they had the first pick and they DIDN'T trade it to completely rebuild this team with young talent, I would smash my TV to pieces......especially if Wentz turns it around.

Especially for a receiver that has already slowed down significantly. What's even better about the situation is he's taking up a roster spot. No information if he is remotely close. He doesn't practice. You know the Eagles like to "ramp up" guys when they are getting healthy. Not even close.

Everyone thought this way with Mills, Jones, Darby, Maddox, and Rasul too. They just have bodies. Outside of Slay, you can't rely on any of the corners consistently.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there unlimited IR designations this year only (not to mention they are for only 3 weeks)? I know absolutely nothing outside of reading material and other player experiences recovering from a lisfranc, and I would have bet my mortgage that Alshon would not have been ready by week 3 this season.

The problem was they aren’t allowed to take him off PUP just to put him on IR with the same injury. So the options are do what they did or he misses 6 games and stays on PUP.

So taking him off PUP might get them 1 extra game out of him rather than having a WR on the team who can actually play? It makes no sense and is horrible roster management.

I’m not going to argue it was the smart move. We’ll see when he comes back. Another thing to consider is if he stayed on PUP the first week he’d be allowed back is Thursday night game so he probably wouldn’t be ready for a short week.

I don't understand how he was employed by an NFL team unless he had some serious dirt on the owners.

September 23, 20204 yr Posted just now Carson Wentz has completed 58.8 pct of his passes this season @NextGenStats says he should have completed 67.7 pct of his throws, per their comp pct over expectation (CPOE) model His -8.8 CPOE is 2nd worst in the NFL this season behind WAS Dwayne Haskins (min 30 pass attempts) Wentz has completed 82.2 pct of his "easy” throws (passes with a 75+ pct expected chance of completion) He was expected to complete 85.9 pct of those, giving him a -3.7 CPOE on "layups” (Note: @KingJames completed 65.1 pct of FGs inside of 10 ft in the 2019-20 regular season) But Wentz has struggled much more on "medium” and "difficult” throws this season, with a -17.6 & -13.0 CPOE respectively. He’s hit most of the "layups” that were expected, but has struggled on the tougher throws

He was a ish doctor and is why he's a twitter Dr and not a team Dr. Part of the reason he lost his job and license stems from him prescribing Junior Seau a ton of Ambien before he killed himself. https://www.boltsfromtheblue.com/2013/4/22/4251626/san-diego-chargers-doctor-david-chao-has-chaotic-past This is a pretty good summary and more detail about his shoddy past, including negligently severing someone's artery and almost having to amputate someone's leg because of a bad diagnosis.

I really though he was going be be a Top 3 QB by this point in his career. I guess the only consolation is Howie has mismanaged this roster so horribly the past few seasons that even if Carson was elite, he wouldn't have much help around him anyway.

It would be the biggest haul of all time. Probably 3 first round picks, multiple second round, couple 3rds, I think I heard a 9'er in there. Right? 👀

Moving forward, when we get a Dr. Chao tweet referring to a player injury, can we assume that he's on one of his self-prescribed fun medications and has no idea what he's talking about?
