I agree with both, though I could flip flop Doug and Wentz on the latter.

i brought this up last night. I didn’t even know they discussed it on their pod. I totally expect in 2-3 years one of doug, wentz and howie won’t be here. Frankly i wouldn’t be shocked if 2 of the 3 aren’t. If i were a betting man Id put money on howie surviving.

I sincerely doubt that any big changes will come after this season unless it is to defensive coordinator.  I could see Howie having to bring in a GM but I don't think he is going anywhere.

Maybe they want to put Pryor in, who is more suited on right side.  In fact, somewhat surprised that Herbig got the call in the first game before Pryor who has played in previous season at RG.

 

The one constant with Jeff Lurie in the past 10-15 years at the Eagles is Howie Roseman.  He maybe Lurie's boy, but he seems to be one of those people who are talented, but always survive their own chaos, where others don't get the same privilege.  There has to be a heck of a book to write about the Eagles FO, if someone can do it.

We can blame Chip for Lurie dipping his hand in.  That NE game where Lurie had the itch to scratch, I would imagine, game him a taste of the good stuff and he's felt enabled to be involved ever since.

No one will be gone at the end of this season, unless it’s of their own choosing.  I’m pretty sure in my belief that Wentz will be with the Eagles after Pederson is gone, though.

Hoping that Gym Shorts dials up some blitzes this weekend. Get Gerry a sack and maybe his confidence goes up. It also means we don’t have to watch Gerry try and cover anyone. 

Provided there isn’t some kind of attempted coup by Doug or that the relationship between he and Howie is too toxic to continue, I’d be shocked if Doug were fired. He’s too good of a coach to jettison over one bad year.

To clarify: BLG and Kempski didn't say anyone would be gone. They were basically just doing an exercise on who is most likely to go first if/when that happens.

I doubt either of them have any read on what might happen if the season goes awry. They both insisted Alshon would be the first person out the door this past offseason, and yet he's still here.

I still think it’s doug and wentz first Before. Howie has basically been here through 3 regimes. I tend to believe doug and Carson would get the axe before howie even though it should be the opposite. That said i don’t see any of them gone at earliest end of 2021 season.

I don't remember him being that bad, but that is some god awful numbers. 142 yards per game, 48% completion and 51 passer rating to go with just 2 TD's to 9 TO's and 21 sacks taken. Coincidentally this was his 5th year as well. Unfortunately we don't have the D to have these QB numbers and still end the season 12-4 like the 2003 team did.

not surprised. I thought malik was cooked when we signed him. He already was a poor run defender, he was declining in Jacksonville and then add on a lis franc injury. Not really all that surprised. Hargrave i think it’s the fact he needs time. Didn’t really have training camp. Ditto with Barnett plus Barnett has always been underwhelming 

We are going to have even less talent on the field than what we have had, what good is a 3 point win over the Bengals the worst football team in the league?  Now if they are going to beat the Bengals and then continue to win games that’s one thing, but I just don’t see it.  They better wake the f up now and go do something.
