The Eagles DL hacked the PFF servers years ago.  They are always top 3 in pass rush, Graham and Barnett usually top 10 individually, if not much higher.  Something about either their play style, a family member with pff, or having the password to their servers...I dunno which.

Maybe something in the formula rewards them for a quick release from the QB, as we have typically had bad secondaries that yield early separation.  Just speculating here...because it's not and never has been reflective of the actual pass rush here.

Thank goodness the Phillies season will be over in a couple of days; what an aggravating team to watch

Nah those ar the ghost pepper chips. Yeah they're hot, but supposedly this one chip is like 1,000x hotter.

Pretty sure they were Carolina Reaper chips.  It's been a while....I could be wrong but they were discontinued, on clearance so I bought a bag.  Probably not "as much" seasoning on them as the one chip challenge, I'd guess.

What are you going on about?  I'm talking about reality and your talking about fantasy football.

Lol.  I think you have a distorted view of what reality is or poor understanding of what fantasy football is. First off, DeSean Jackson has played only 67% of the total offensive snaps this year (93 of 139 plays— one of the lowest number of starting receiver in the nfl in total percentage of offensive plays (unless we consider golladay and some others who have missed a game or yet to play this year)). But in your world it’s only Carson Wentz that’s keeping his production down. I don’t know missing a bunch of offensive plays so he doesn’t breakdown later in the year might also do it. Heck Anderson has been out there for roughly 80%. But that’s not real reality, that’s fantasy football cause it’s only wentz’s fault his production isn’t where Anderson’s is.

and here’s another reality, Robby Anderson over the last three years has been a more productive player and that’s not fantasy football that’s actually on the field play of football. Also healthier and on the field for all but two games. That’s reality too. And he has a better contract for his team than desean’s.... you know the reality where desean according to sportrac has a 3.87 mil dead money hit in 2022 when he’s definitely not going to be on the team.  But once again must be "fantasy football”

"reality”............

I was surprised to see that the eagles haven’t beaten the bengals since 2000 and are 0-6/7 and I wasn’t overly confident given what’s happened this season so far and this run against the bengals goes back through some decent bengal teams but that stat doesn’t help is my point. I saw joe burrows live in week one and it was an impressive outing.

I always think those stats are more to scare monger than anything though. I mean this is a very different team to those who lost most of those games. It's even a different team from that game 4 years ago that they lost.

See. That nugget of "inside" info you're looking to mine?

He's 14-15 since his injury.  59 QBR.  (QBR is not QB rating).

Those stats look pretty damn good to me. And not much of a drop off and in some years he's even played better than 2017. The first game this year he was awful. He improved the 2nd game no need to jump off the Wentz wagon.

Hmm ..... I wonder if Jared Goff would have guessed Eagles are #1 in pass rush grade, because I’m not sure he even needed to shower after that win.

When McVay kept him in the pocket the rush was excellent and completely disrupted their offense with pressure.  When they moved him, another story.  Imagine that, helping a QB be successful and as a result helping a team look like they didn't sweat simply by calling plays that accentuate the QBs talents?  What an extraordinary and revolutionary idea!

I think not getting Robbie Anderson will prove to be a big miss.  The money they spent on NRC and Hargrave could have easily gone towards him.  Not that we want a bloated WR contract moving forward but Anderson is proving he could be even better than he was with the Jets.  I was opposed to it in the off-season, thought he was overrated and just the best WR in a bad FA class but boy he is playing well early on.

Yes it’s not a like for like comparison and there are differences but Jimmy white never won a world snooker title when he should have at least won one and maybe part of the problem was not scare mongering but mentality and getting inside your own head.

The totality of this mess falls squarely on the shoulders of the GM.

We’re in position to win these ball games every week even with Wentz being the worst qb in the nfl right now

Buddy, the reality is we have DeSean Jackson, we don’t have Anderson.  You’ve been going on for pages on how you wish we signed Anderson and that DJax’s contract was a bad decision.  Pretty sure everyone understands your opinion by now.

You going on a rant about it for pages is no different than people who say we should have kept Nick Foles at a much better contract than Wentz and should have traded Wentz for a Kings’s ransom at the time.

Neither happened so yes, you are talking "fantasy” football.

Oh I’m still on board with Wentz.  Just giving some "tough love”.  I know he can turn it around in a flash like he’s done before.

The only thing that makes me wonder if he really does have some sort of underlying injury (groin or maybe back) that’s affecting his throws this year.

Clueless Howie... There’s a nice handful of quality young receivers in this league and we have JJ. I don’t have the warmest feeling about Reagor either but there’s at least some hope there. Still think he will be best suited as a slot/gadget type player. That’s not worthy of pick 21 though...

This is a sensible post.  And I’m sure if Anderson continues to play the way he is playing now, people will say "well, we should have tried harder to sign him”.  But hindsight is always 20/20.

is it strange to anyone else that there has been no news on covid and the NFL in the last few weeks...🤔

Meh.  There’s less than 2000 players in the NFL in a country of 330 million people.   So if they’re following precautions, etc it’s not necessarily a statistical anomaly that few (if any) are affected by Covid.

Well I ate the paqui one chip challenge and to be honest it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. Pretty hot. I went over an hour without anything to drink and then had some water because I am out of milk.

I will say, however, that my morning biological was quite spicy.

I can "taste" the hotness in my ring muscle if you know what I mean.🔥🔥🔥

Week 1: 6 Game Winning Streak against Washington = Loss

Week 2: 6 Game Winning Streak against Rams = Loss

Week 3 : Haven't Beaten the Bengals in 20 years = W???

Preseason is over.  NO more excuses.   Let's turn the tide on Sunday.   One thing I love about Doug as our Couch is he's NEVER out of this until week 17.   Let's Go.

Apparently not you as you continue to keep going on about how desean is amazing and would have similar stats to Anderson’s simply if wentz was better. Also you who doesn’t get how bad of a contract desean’s is because you decided to somehow say Anderson’s contract was not good even though it’s less of a hindrance future to his team. So i guess not everyone. Meanwhile someone gives you facts about him missing 1/3 of the offensive plays and you ignore it. We get it for some reason you still think this is 2016 with desean Jackson still being great (granted still a good receiver). So i guess you also like living in the past

Since we’re on the subject of "fantasy” football your great argument of stats where desean would have the same production (if not for Wentz) as Anderson is "fantasy” football. Because he doesn’t have it And the numbers are what they are. That didn’t happen either. but reality includes hypothetical stats

The only thing that makes me wonder if he really does have some sort of underlying injury (groin or maybe back) that’s affecting his throws this year.

My guess is he's not 100%, which is affecting his mechanics and accuracy.  I also would guess he's getting frustrated and maybe confused by the mixed messaging he's getting from coaches.  I think fans always assume that the player/coach communication is as simple as 'coach tells player, player needs to listen to coaching'

The Eagles coaching staff and authority structure is a tiny bit confusing to me, especially on the offensive side:

Duce Staley -- Assistant Head Coach and RB Coach, Jeff Stoutland -- OL/Running Game Coordinator -- so, who has the final word that the RBs have to listen to?

Press Taylor -- Passing Game Coordinator/QB Coach, Rich Scangarello -- Sr. Offensive Assistant, Marty Mornhinweg -- Sr. Offensive Consultant, Doug Pederson -- Offensive Coordinator and person calling the plays during the game.

Most of us would assume Press Taylor is the guy coaching Wentz up during the week and between possessions on game day, and Pederson calls the plays in from the sidelines.  How much is Scangarello in Wentz's ear?  I don't know.  How much is Mornhinweg?  Probably none, but again, I don't know.  It's fair to say Wentz has some different voices in his ear this season and there just might be an adjustment period.  Press Taylor really has no resume or qualifications outside the Eagles organization (QB coach at Tulsa for a couple of years).  Tidbits of rumor from Philly media guys that Wentz isn't taking coaching well -- what if Taylor doesn't know what he's talking about?
