This is what I think of when I hear people argue that Wentz sucks and has obviously been a bust all along. So, you're saying that Wentz decided to play really well for four years...and then showed his true self by less-than-stellar games to start the year? "Apparently!" 

Fans can be so stupid at times.

Just thinking aloud.  Does Wentz play better with a QB that is capable of taking his job away on the roster?  Not sure how true it is, but reading some of the comments got the old grey matter going.

Wentz plays better when there are 0 expectations (pressure). If this team goes 0-5, dude's gonna play like a superstar the rest of the season.

Yeah... that's not true.  Kid was the #2 overall pick for a franchise that traded up and paid a ton to get him.  He's never had 0 expectations, nor will he as long as he's here.

"0" was hyperbolic. But as soon as the focus goes from playoff year to "let's see what we got for the future," Carson's gonna look like many of you think he looks.

Eh, everyone knew our receivers were weak and Robby was someone the FO went after earlier. Robby developed his game to more than just a deep threat too. There were reports he would easily get over ten mil per year but the market dropped on these guys, which means Howie really should have gone after him. Nobody gets a pass here, if anything Howie should get even more demerits for not grabbing him at his reduced price tag. 3rd day draft targets and gadget slot receivers are simply not good enough. Lurie needs to make a serious adjustment this offseason on who steers his ship, cause Howie has it headed  straight to Gilligan’s isle. 

A lot of talk about LBs because of the Bengals this morning, but it's worth pointing out how bad rookie LBs have been around the NFL.

Agree, he's accomplished much more than Kolb ever did.  The only similarities are they're both country boys who are extremely injury prone and buckle under pressure.

What Carson Wentz really is until he actually achieves something, is a poor man's Donovan McNabb.

I would advocate for Carson to get back to scrambling more as he did in 2017.  The problem with that is he continually takes foolish hits while trying to play hero ball instead of throwing it away, running out of bounds, and protecting himself.  He needs to model his game after Russell Wilson.

Right now Carson Wentz reminds me of RG3.

You think the Eagles should re-sign Jay Ajayi? He was pretty good in 2017. Torrey Smith? Maybe trade a conditional pick for Agholor; he was pretty good in 2017.

Carson holds the ball for 5 seconds and gets sacked ==> OL sucks

Carson throws an inaccurate pass that gets intercepted ==> WR wasn't in the right place

Carson fumbles again ==> He's "pressing" because the team around him is falling apart

Carson consistently throws high missiles that receivers have to adjust to ==> pro receivers gotta make a play

Carson comes out and looks like utter dog crap for 2 games ==> fire Howie Roseman

Donovan got nowhere near the grace, man.

I've seen speculation that he has a groin problem. It's anyones guess if that's true.
