Jackson is hamstring. It’s probably toast.

Goedert is rumored high ankle sprain but will miss some time.

Peters probably had a stiff breeze knock him over from getting dusted all game.

Maddox is an ankle. He ran on the sideline to see if he can come back in but couldn’t go.

No Goedert/Jackson against actual NFL defenses (SF/Bal/Pitt) is going to lead to Carson getting hit a ton.

Theres certainly no way theyre trading or benching anyone being a half game back with 13 weeks to go, so you can just forget that

But I think the current offensive coaching dynamic is a total failure so far and they have to make changes

They need more consultants!

I know people want to fire Howie (I get it). However, if Wentz is average. Not bad, average, we're 2-1 and 1st in the division.

I've passed the tipping point with Howie.

Drafting Dallas Goedert over good Z prospects to double down on 12 personnel was backwards, but a good pick because Goedert can play.

Extending a possession WR in Jeffery after drafting a slow possession WR in JJAW to complement your commitment to 12 personnel...was a fireable offense.

Then going from Ward/Burnett/JJAW as your playoff WR corps last year to Ward/Burnett/JJAW/Hightower as our week 3 WR corps this year...another fireable offense.

Throw in the complete absence of any young talent on the team besides a running back...that's fireable offense #3.

Throw in the absolute humiliation of guaranteed riches we are paying Desean/Malik/Graham/Barnett/Peters/Brooks/Cox/Jeffery...that's fireable offense #4.

Someone needs to take the keys and slash the tires before he takes the franchise car out for another spin this offseason.

Well, since Wentz isn’t even close to an average QB... we’re a bottom five team.

Peters being out is probably an upgrade though

Comments like this really upset me. Reagor was playing well before the QB killed him. Reagor outperformed Jefferson in the weeks they actually played.

There are so many fair criticisms of Howie, that this one is dumb. Henry Ruggs missed today's game. I guess he's a bust, even though he was a big reason the Raiders started 2-0.

Any early word on our injuries?

Maddox...hopefully fine for his sake, but the secondary didn't miss him.

Goedert...hopefully he misses just enough time to drive down his asking price, while still being 100% for next year.

Jackson...don't care.

Peters...please never put on an Eagles jersey again.

Is Doug going to help? Probably not

fix.t

who am i kidding?  carson is now gun shy.  unless he can overthrow someone, he won't release the ball.  if it's a small window, he sees ghosts of interceptions past and will double pump the window closed.

we really, really needed that comp pick

I can’t really blame Howie too much on that. Either Flajole or Schwartz didn’t want to play him at all, so what else are you supposed to do? Watch him ride the bench every game or essentially trade him for a 4th?

I’ve said it before but I’ve been an eagles fan over 20 years and tonight’s game was one of the worst I’ve seen and I’ve seen nearly all of them in those twenty years. I’m not normally lost for words after an eagles game but I’m as close as I’ve ever been. What the hell did we watch today ? If anyone(and given the high standard of fans here it won’t be hard) can articulate what the hell that was I’d be grateful as I don’t think I can explain it appropriately yet. Maybe tomorrow my time I’ll be able to work it out but not now. And to think the eagles play the niners on SNF next weekend which should be something to watch.

Joyner is an a-hole on twitter. Sad to see it

Gerry looked like he was going to cover the pylon on that TD play.  Seriously.  Where the F was he running to?  There wasn't anyone in that corner of the EZ or even along that sideline.  It shows that he is clueless and completely lost out there.  You would think that someone who played S in college would have some idea how to read a play and how to cover.

Honestly, I never, ever would have expected Jefferson to have a game like he had today. Good for him and his fans.

If I ran that draft, I'd have drafted Reagor at #21.  I wouldn't have been thrilled about it, but it was the ONLY move to make.

Reagor was the best fast WR on the board.  Howie failed to address that need via FA/trade/prior offseasons.  And there was absolutely zero option but to do it with this pick.  Reagor may go down as a bust, or a pro-bowler...but this pick was all but dictated to us.

I will neither criticize nor credit Howie, regardless of what happens with Reagor.  This was like an autopick.  I've heard from others (both in a positive and a negative light) that Howie could have done this, that, or the other thing with the pick.  But he couldn't.  It always had to be Reagor.

Now, there are years, decades, of pent up WR drafting frustration.  The fact that Reagor has accumulated 2 big injuries in one abbreviated training camp and 2 weeks of football, has 1 big play to show for it...and is now on IR...while other rookies are making plays...that's going to be monumentally frustrating to people.  (Jefferson was my #1 do not draft player, for what it's worth).

It was 4 hours of almost complete garbage followed by a terrible finale sequence. It’s like watching 2 girls 1 cup on repeat and then putting on GOT season 8.

C'mon, 2G1C and GOT8 weren't that bad.

From BGN Winners and Losers.  Yikes.  I know there's some sarcasm in here but not really.  Josh Sweat was a winner, hence this headline.

Everyone that has been drafted by the Eagles in the last five years that isn’t Josh Sweat

I’m not even kidding.

2016

  • Carson Wentz: another rough performance. Best throw of his season to Zach Ertz put the Eagles in field goal range for the first time, and I liked what I saw from his scrambling. But his interceptions were terrible decisions, he was regularly inaccurate, and he still has little playmaking ability both in terms of deep passing and in scramble drill opportunities. He doesn’t trust his receivers and probably hates the offense.
  • Isaac Seumalo: out, injured
  • Wendell Smallwood: Steelers practice squad
  • Halapoulivaati Vaitai: playing guard for the Lions, poorly
  • Blake Countess: I don’t even know, not willing to Google
  • Jalen Mills: Had some sacks! But there’s an old adage that you blitz the players you think are bad in coverage, and Mills made no impact cover plays against a team that was ripping them up with slot WR Tyler Boyd.
  • Alex McCalister: out of the league
  • Joe Walker: got promoted to the active roster today in San Francisco, so that’s nice!

2017

  • Derek Barnett: Two sacks is a good stat sheet but, as everyone knows, he beat a tight end on the first one — the DB special. He continues to be a solid player drafted at an elite player’s price
  • Sidney Jones: Did someone pick him up? Someone had to have, right?
  • Rasul Douglas: Taking snaps for Carolina, big ups Sul, hope he prospers elsewhere
  • Mack Hollins: Special-teamer for Miami
  • Donnel Pumphrey: I don’t wanna talk about that
  • Nate Gerry: Bumfuzzled on yet another red zone touchdown pass. How do the Eagles possibly justify keeping him on the field?
  • Elijah Qualls: I think he had a sack for the DC Defenders once

2018

2019

  • Andre Dillard: Got hurt, but that might make our perception better of him than if he were playing!
  • Miles Sanders: Okay he played fine, sorry, I’m doing a bit here.
  • J.J. Arcega-Whitside: LMAOOOOOOOO
  • Shareef Miller: Oh my goodness I forgot about this pick
  • Clayton Thorson: QB Factory pt. 1

2020

  • Jalen Reagor: Got hurt, still figuring out his role
  • Jalen Hurts: Imagine if the Bengals had recovered that fumble. What the people would have done.
  • Davion Taylor: At some point you have to play him just to help him develop, right?
  • K’Von Wallace: At some point you have to play him just to help him develop, right?
  • Jack Driscoll: From Week 1 starter to probably behind Mailata on the depth chart. Suboptimal!
  • John Hightower: He’s also been fine for a fifth-rounder, again, I’m just trying to do a bit here
  • Shaun Bradley: At some point you have to play him just to help him develop, right?
  • Quez Watkins: At some point you have to play—oh wait, he’s on IR, sorry.
  • Prince Tega Wanogho: Practice squad, probably gonna get elevated if he’s healthy enough?
  • Casey Toohill: At some point you have to play him just to help him develop, right?

Solak was JJAW and Pump’s biggest fan. Maybe I should remember that when I’m reading his draft coverage.

Out of bounds, but it was covered so wasn’t gonna be a catch anyways.

That's fair but the DC and LB coach should be able to recognize his talent and figure out a way to get him on the field where he can contribute. Surely he looked better than Gerry.

If anyone loves money the 49ers are only 3.5 point favorites for next Sunday night

Where is the Shanahan influence we were supposed to get from scangarello (sic)

Yup. It was the correct decision. The fact that Reagor immediately looked like he belonged playing a new position (X) is a great sign for his development. He played and finished a game with a broken thumb too.

I gotta say Hightower looked ok today. We're not using his best skill (downfield speed), but he's showing up. He's already better than Shelton Gibson. I can see him being a Z/backup Z for the next 3 years.
