Just to add, on the play that I am referring to at the end of the game, you run the ball there and get even 3 yards, we are now talking about a 61 yard FG attempt instead of 64 yards after the false start.  Little things like this make a difference between a win, loss, or tie.

It was 4th down. Not knowing that definitely gets you fired.

Had no problem throwing on 3rd down either. It was a 59 yard FG attempt before Pryor penalty.

Accounts Receivable.....brah

on account that we don't have any receivers, gotcha.

Here's another sucky thing.  We clearly aren't winning anything this year, most likely next year either.  They finally invested in CB with Slay.  He has a 3 year deal.  His contributions to the team are going to be totally wasted.  He's not going to get a 2nd contract here when he is 31-32 years old and declining.

He's the best player on defense but what good is one good player when the other 6 players in the back 7 suck.

I was thinking about that during the game yesterday too.  We finally get a good CB but he will be out of his prime before we are relevant again.

word is you're supposed to be leading a players only meeting. you're late, we're f'd.

Nobody told me this. Damn. All right, I'll call one shortly.

Apparently his wife packed extra, so I saw Wentz in the hallway handing out bags of Funyuns to other teammates and staff. I asked him to toss me a bag and he sailed it 3 feet over my head into the arms of a visiting teams publicist.

The key is to know when to change course.  The NFL is cyclical, unless you are Cleveland or Miami or NYJ.  But you need to know when to move on and start that clock over again.  My opinion, was we should have done that after 2018.  The team was old.  We won our SB the year before and the injuries mounted in 2018, 2019 and now this year.  Lurie has to realize it's time to blow it up and reload.  We can be back in the thick of things in 2-3 years.  But BS'ing around at 9-7 the last two years, with Howie making the draft picks has cost us.  You know what Kenny Rogers said...................and it's not about Lucille.

I’m not sure if you’re gonna be in the thick of it in two or three years even if you do that. That requires hitting on draft picks. Even if you do that right, turn it around and be a playoff team again but that doesn’t mean you are a legit Super Bowl contender. If were under the assumption that Carson eventually turns This around and I would be on the same train of thought. But you could go out and hit on the next two drafts and still not have a franchise quarterback if Carson is unable to turn this around. You might be looking in 2-3 years still trying to find a franchise quarterback if wentz has melted into fultz territory.

there's nothing funyun about this team.

Pryor needs his nuts cut off honestly

No it wasn't.  It was 3rd and 7 and Carson throws the ball when we are on the 41 yard line and it hits the defender in the hands.  A run to Sanders gets at least 3 yards.  So that false start the next play gives you a 61 yard fg which is much more in range, than the 64 Doug pooped his pants for.

Yeah I don’t understand that either. It’s not like a 59 yard fugal is a gimme field gold. It’s  Not a given that Elliot is just going to connect on 59 yards. He was short on a 53 order against Washington. I thought The playcalling that entire drive was awful. On first and second down it felt like we were just comfortable kicking a long field goal and the play calls were  Just not good. 3rd down i likes them going for a nice size pickup to ward but good play by the bengals defense. It just felt like that entire last drive was awkward play calls and ultimately just ok with Settling for a 50+ yard field goal

What did you think about the Eagles after they fired Chip?  Did you think they were 2-3 years away?

Yup.  You can turn it around quickly if you can be pro-active instead of reactive.  That's why Ertz and Cox need to go asap.

I hate to say it but I think the Cowturds got another receiver in Cedrick Wilson.  They might have the best receiving core in the NFL.  Annoying!

Yep, they sure did.  Another size, speed guy too.  I think Dallas destroys us this year.

Dropping back nine yards probably isn’t ideal to be fair.

Did his face get red and did he put the towel over his head after the funyun pass attempt?

He did seem to smirk and shake his head.

Carson just had a huge run that put us into easy FG range get called back by a (IMO soft as charmin) holding call.  Regardless, you have to take a chance.  Even an incompletion takes 8-9 seconds off the clock, at minimum.

And that is exactly why Doug should have gone for it on 4th down!

You guys are mixing up the plays.  On 3rd and 7, we were on the 41, and they throw the ball for an incompletion (could have been intercepted).  The 64 yard fg could have been around 60-61 yards if they run there and Sanders get 3-4 yards.  I am not saying that is a definite gimme, of course it will be a tough one to put through.  My point is, Doug would have gone for it if it were 60-61 yards instead of 64 yards.

Okay so maybe I'm wrong in my approach.......we'll see I guess. Meanwhile you guys mull it over and tell me the best solution and someone give me a report when I get back. I mean really discuss it and make an agreement.

Goedert lower body going to miss some time

Maddox lower body going to miss some time

Peters is going to be ok-F!!!!!!

Your opinion is just as valuable as others.  We don't have to all think the same way.  That's the beauty of this board.

Jackson is day to day with lower body and possible he'll be ready for Sunday

Goedert, Maddox, both "lower body" injuries, projected to "miss some time"

Peters is okay

Desean is "day to day" another "lower body" injury. Doug optimistic he can play Sunday

I agree but can't like this post.

Before they went out and got wentz i thought they would need 2-3 years of rebuild and getting a franchise QB to be a legit contender. the Eagles had way more talent that was young entering their prime or in their primes than the Eagles do right now. Like graham, cox, Hicks, kelce, lane, Brooks, kendricks, jenkins, ertz were all entering their prime Or in them. Currently what young players do you see on the Eagles that have the potential those guys did? Hargrave, goedert, possibly reagor, seumalo, possibly dillard might be the only ones.

Also howie moved up in the draft to get wentz a QB who in 2017 was amazing. if your quarterback is not amazing that year you’re not sniffing a Super Bowl Even with Nick foles coming in to be the savior. So if Carson wentz does not turn this around you can still have a good team built around him In 2-3 but you are not going to be a legit Super Bowl contender Until your QB plays at a high enough level. You’d basically be the Colts after Andrew luck left.

I don't think this was talked about yet.  That decision to throw the ball on I think it was 3rd and 7 at the end of the game when we were already in fg range was mind blowing.  The only thing you can't do in that situation is take a sack or throw an interception.  That ball was nearly picked off.  Was that Carson who decided to throw or was that Doug's call?

There were a lot of mind blowing decisions in that game.  Probably the worst game Doug has coached.

They limited JJAW because of his lower body injury

LOL
