In his defense, I dont think hes confident that anyone will "get" open, and if they do, they might run a bad/wrong route, or while waiting for them to get open he will get hammered from his blind side

People arent looking at the full picture and everything that goes into playing QB.  That includes his history here and all of the pressure on his shoulders

I rarely criticize Wentz, but I do believe a weakness in his game is a lack of trust in his receivers.  At some point you’ve got to throw the ball to them at let them sink or swim.  Instead, he typically forces the ball to the guys he trusts.  Some people would say his history of doing that goes all the way back to Jordan Matthews in 2016.

He's tired through 3 games? That doesn't work with their plan of relying on him as the main RB though

Pryor needs his nuts cut off honestly

At least he was pissed at himself for doing it.

Not that it excuses him

If Doug was fired today how many teams would realistically be lining up to hire him?

Carson has played poorly but the bigger blame right now is on Doug.  The team looks lost, confused and unprepared.  That's on the HC.

Doug immediately gets a job if he wants it. His worst-case scenario is OC somewhere, but there are so many bad coaches that he'll get a HC job. The Jets are going to get a new head coach and Joe Douglas is the GM.

Frankly I kind of feel that comment by Doug is BS. That feels like a cover-up for the fact he doesn’t want to come out and admit he didn’t get Miles Sanders the ball enough early in the game cause if he did everyone would jump on him even more. The first two drives of the game he has six rushes for 41 yards. The next two drives he doesn’t touch the ball and they sputter trying to throw it cause wentz is struggling.

Also a damning stat, the Eagles had 21 3rd down attempts. In 12 of those 21 attempts, they were in 3rd down and 7 or more (for the season they have had 47 3rd down attempts and 24 of them have been 3rd down and 7+... meaning 51 percent of the time in 3rd and 7 or more). Converted just four of them. Meanwhile the other 9 3rd down attempts, they converted six times. So it tells me we’re not winning the battle on first and second down nearly enough because of penalty or bad play or sack

I posted about this before the game yesterday.  My scenarios of Eagles play calling and how they face more 3rd and long than any team I can remember.

I think it’s all mental and coaching. He doesn’t have a winners mentality or gut instincts anymore. There’s something not clicking in his head right now. The only person who can help him is coaching the Colts right now.

Good God finally.  How long does it take to learn he is not a pocket/survey/throw QB.  Please Doug, free Carson from your poor tendencies

Maybe Doug needs to simplify the playbook for Wentz the way he did for Foles

Yeah for the season they’re in 3rd and 7 or longer 51% of the time (24 of 47 third downs). People don’t remember this but I posted in 2017 when it foles took over that the Eagles had to be better on first and second down. The Eagles were great that year but when you go back and look at their stats Before foles took over they were in a high amount of 3rd and 7 or more. I wish I still had the stats I posted on the blog during that year but they had over 100 plays of 3rd and 7 or more then the patriots  who faced the least amount of 3rd and 7 or more. It just was Carson was so good that year on third down he covered up for the fact they’ve were facing 3rd and long more than they should.

Sanders has a touchdown here if Carson throws a good pass to him

There is no way he had time to throw it to Miles there

I think the obvious answer is for Carson to use his legs more, if he doesnt see something within 2 seconds, go

Hes trying to be something hes not.  Hes a big strong guy, he needs to throw caution to the wind and just play football

No OTAs, lack of traditional TC, missed 700 live reps blah blah blah

Seems like there’s some good teams that need a pass rusher.

Of Graham, Barnett, and Sweat... who is most likely to get traded and what’s their worth?

did SEPTA make it to the meeting to park on top of Sanders ??

My feeling is that ball was Likely going to be picked regardless if it was deflected. That the DB had a beat on that throw.

also you got a anticipate Miles Sanders is going to be where he is on that route. He was even with the defensive back And making his break up field on the DB when Carson throws it to desean. if wentz throws it and leads sanders down the field with it he likely beats the defender because if you’re even he’s leaving

I think he's been doing that though.  Look at that throw to Ertz, he just gave him a shot and it was a bad decision

I think Wentz is all over the place right now because of all of the factors, not just one or two

Another player that needs to go on a snap count.  LOL.

At the rate this is going, I wouldn't be surprised if the schedule after a game next year...

Monday - off

Tuesday - off

Wednesday - review film with an ice cream social

Thursday - off day because of ice cream social the day before

Friday - zoom walk thru

Saturday - off

Sunday - loss

Contrary to popular Opine onion,  the Eagles are currently 1/2 game out of first place in the NFC East .

Wah wah wah wah

Shush. Beat San Fran. Come back the next day.

Can’t see them trading sweat who’s on a cheap contract. I’d say graham but i can’t see a team wanting to take on his contract in 2021 unless they believe he has another good year left. It’s a high price tag even if you do for a guy his age. I’d say Barnett but i don’t think he has great value.

malik could be a guy i see teams wanting to trade for. Interior pass rusher is coveted. Also think someone like mcleod would have value to a team needing secondary help.

Not great!
