I've been moving the last couple of weeks so I've managed to watch the games but not the all-22 or any other replays. Anyway, a report on the OL.

Peters is shot. He was beaten inside and outside. He lunged rather than punched. Lane was not much better, though I think he's basically playing on one leg. Kelce has missed some calls and A-gap blitzes, particularly in Week One, when he was awful. Herbig has been surprisingly good. Donald gave Seumalo all he could handle but he handled it. That's a big loss. Pryor has some good moments and some bad. Flinching on that FG try was almost unforgiveable. And I am pleased that Mailata got some meaningful snaps. He didn't do anything wonderful but he wasn't brutal. More please.

Jenkins looked good again last night. The defense/team sorely misses his leadership and playmaking skills.

I have so much to say about this and agree but I’m already knee deep in it with moving on from Wentz

He's likely going to be on a pitch count his entire career from that knee injury. He got the start the last two weeks but splitting snaps almost evenly with Barnett.

Everyone knew linebacker was going to be an issue this year. Even those on the inside had to know it. But I think they were banking on the interior guys like Cox, Hargrave, and Malik to help hide that weakness. That’s not happening and they’re being exposed.

Eight sacks and 48 yards rushing allowed. The DL was terrific. Don't know what you're looking at. Perhaps I misread your comment. The excellence of the DL should have enhanced the LBs, but it surely didn't. If that's what you're saying I heartily agree. And I got sick of seeing Nate Gerry get wrong-footed over and over.

He played 53 percent of the snaps. Seems like a decent number to me.

How and why did we go from a fairly solid LB core to a practice squad level group in just a few short years? Who's idea was it that LB was not worth investing in at all?

Bradham declined rapidly

Hicks couldn't stay healthy

Kendricks hated it here

KGH had that weird medical issue and wanted out

draft picks have busted

The coaching staff couldn't recognize the talent LJ Fort has

Jatavis Brown retired

I think that about covers it

Oh and Corey Nelson couldn't play

Lol he deleted some tweets possibly aimed at fans

First I would argue to go look around the NFL and tell me a unit that is worse than the Eagles linebackers? I really don’t think there is. Second this could be the worst linebacker unit the Eagles have had in the last 20 I’m sure we’ve had bad ones that I blocked out of my memory But never where i thought none of them should be starters

The years before we traded for DeMeco were pretty bad. One year was a completely washed Bradley, Moises Foku and Ernie Simms killing his own teammates. Then it was Rolle, Chaney, Akeem Jordan and Casey Matthews. I think this year is probably still worse though.

Was caused by a couple of things. Bradham aged and was not the same player so he was going to be released. Kendricks was making way too much money for his overall performance over the last couple years even though his Super Bowl year he was good. Hicks was injury prone and they didn’t wanna pay him because of the injuries and they thought he wouldn’t last that second contract. Even though in Arizona he’s been doing well on the injury front. Then you add in we really didn’t draft a linebacker higher than the fifth round until this past season on a guy who’s a project. And then when we signed someone like LJ fort we refuse to use him and now he’s in Baltimore thriving in a 3-4 defense.

I thought they cut Kendricks because they figured he was going to jail for insider trading?

Even the broadcasters last night mentioned a few times how no one was open

Hightower had leverage past the sticks with speed before Wentz throws a 50-50 ball for an INT.

Sanders wide open

Hightower open in OT (Hightower was getting separation on TV copy).

This is not on Wentz (it's on Peters), but two WRs open. Throwing to Jackson would have been a tougher throw TBF.

Were there plays where no one is open? Of course. But overall, this was not like 2019.

I would take Casey Matthews over any of our LB's right now. That's how bad they are.

Maybe, he asked to be traded prior to the 2017 season according to him. I assumed he didn't want to be here.

I also remember him being unhappy about his playing time.

I thought foku was average. He’s better than gerry in my opinion. Sadly Bradley would have been good if not for eagles flight night. That dude was a stud in 2008. He’s one of the biggest what if’s the Eagles have. That guy was on his way to being a really good linebacker before that knee injury on flight night. I would take Chaney, Jordan and Matthews over what we have currently. It wasn’t great but still better than what’s out there now.

Your opinion is just as valuable as others.  We don't have to all think the same way.  That's the beauty of this board.

Don't remember exactly. Might have been the 2 scrambles late in the game. Broadcasters made a point how no one was open so he ran for it instead

Nah, that didn't come out until months later. Kendricks was disgruntled, Schwartz didn't like him and he had a roster bonus coming due.

I can't get on board going off on offensive play-calling. Things like this are happening every week. Pederson dials it up perfectly...and Wentz misses a "lay-up"

yeah. People who dont believe the scheme works, or doug calls bad plays, dont have any idea what they are looking at. This offensive scheme is excellent. Being completely held back by the QB right now.

I feel like we could make a pretty solid "what if" team. Bradley, JR Reed, Frank Gore, LeCharles Bentley, Derrick Burgess, Larry Fitzgerald etc.

Not having Goedert in the red-zone is where it really hurts. He routinely crushes LBs and when teams respond with base, we can run at them. 2 TEs is the optimal Red-zone formation (between the 20s is a different discussion).

No he wasn't here when that happened
