What happened to Kvon Wallace? Has he played at all? There was so much hype about him after the draft. You’d think a team that loves to play 3 safety, and were missing Parks, that he’d get a chance to play on passing downs. Anything to get Gerry off the field.

He's primarily playing special teams. He has only played 7 snaps on defense so far.

Top 10 outside of coaching?

Oline

WR

Wentz(this'll trigger a lot lol)

LB

DE

RB(Sanders getting tired after 3 games worries me)

Safety

CB opposite slay

Would TE be one if they weren't in 12 all of the time?

Coaching(couldn't help myself lol)

I think your top three can go in any order depending on how you feel about wentz and if you Think he can turn this around

two concerns I have are a. Goedert seems to always be getting hurt. He’s missed games each of his first three seasons. So you have to rely on him after Zach Ertz leaves then you better have a quality back up because he has shown the propensity to miss games B. I Am still concern with Sanders making it through a full 16 game season. He’s fatigued now and he left multiple games last year r. I don’t think the back ups are good enough. Scott is a third down back imo. Clement should be a 4th back if even in the roster. I’d like to get another talented back in here.

Yeah but that’s different than saying just throw the ball away. Throw the ball away is not gonna do anything for you. You’re still gonna be fourth and goal at the three and likely kicking a field goal. So keeping the place alive and running is smarter than just throwing the ball away. The fact that he should’ve ran is a different argument

I agree with your assessment on it.  I don't think it was a terrible sack.  I do think he had a chance to make a positive play and maybe didn't because of his indecision.

He's been playing special teams.

What is this team and where is it going? It feels directionless. That's the biggest reason I want them to bottom out and start over. At least it'll give a clear message that this is the plan and the direction they're heading in: a rebuild. What even is this team? They're just meandering. I don't see any concise vision for where they're headed and how they'll get there.

Nothing worse to be than a directionless franchise.

Even with Jenkins here I don’t think this defense is very good. Heck the Saints gave up 37 points last night with him and no Devante Adams. The bigger problem with the Eagles was knowing he was getting older and failing to find an adequate replacement knowing his contract was coming to a head. They just assumed Jalen mills who never played the safety position at the NFL level outside of a handful of snaps would just go back to being a safety after five years away from the position in college. they had a couple of years to draft and develop one and they never did. Their plan was we will just move mills into that role.

The  bigger mistake than drafting JJAW over DK was passing on Juan Thornhill, Nasir Adderly or even Taylor Rapp.

The Washers dismiss evidence like this

You seriously think that people don't see him making mistakes? Everybody makes mistakes and misses throws. His whole game has not been good THIS YEAR. Stop with the childish nonsense. The hope is his game comes back or else we're stuck with a very bad quarterback for the next several years. Which one do you want to happen?

Gerry is turrible but what can Schwartz do?  They have less than zero talent at the position because apparently it’s not important to them at all.

Alex Singleton was Defensive Player of the Year in the CFL a couple of years ago .... where they pass 75% of the plays because of three downs .... on a wider field ....

How could he possibly be worse in coverage than Gerry?

I would argue we may have the 35th - 36th best Linebacker Coors in the NFL. Surely teams like Pittsburgh and a couple others have better backups than we do.

Now we know the issue. No more Coors in their water bottles

I don't know that tanking fixes anything for this team.  I think they need wholesale changes in the offseason.

Gerry needs to be benched immediately.

Yep. I wanted Juan thornhill. He was good at the end of last year before he had the ACL injury and he looks solid so far this year. I know people are mad about Metcalf but I was more upset they wasted that pick on plodder type wide receiver when they had  McLeod as an upcoming ftee agent on the horizon and Jenkins contract coming to a head and no young safeties on the roster. He would’ve been our third safety last year. Got the experience to be the starter this year. If you drafted thornhill McLeod Likely isn’t here and wallace and thornhill as your set at safeties for the foreseeable future assuming they panned out.

Living in Canada, I can tell you the quality of play In CFL is worse than most College games.

They would but the shopping cart with the busted wheel now plays for another team

If someone thinks calling people names helps them make a point, then they probably are not going to respond to reason.

Nothing happened to him. We haven't been playing much 3 safeties and when they do, its been Epps. Schwartz has said that S is one of the harder positions to get players acclimated to in his system. It was always kind of expected he'd play ST's and be more a year 2 guy on D.

And yet both he and Peters will be in the starting lineup this Sunday night 😂

It just amazes me that this guy played safety in college, should understand coverage schemes, but is always out of place when he is supposed to be covering

As a fun activity try to rank in order of biggest problem to least problem on the Eagles roster (not including howie and coaching).

1. Wentz struggles  my one

2. Makeshift OLine  my two

3. WR corps still an issue my four

4. Linebackers  my 3 Gerry stats alone are deadly

5. Outside corner opposite of slay- my 5

6. Young defensive end talent Outside of sweat my7

7. Safety (more starter opposite of mcleod) 8 or lower depending on Wallace and parks contributions

8. slot corner  my 9

9. Running back depth behind sanders - my 6

10. future at tight end— got goedert who seemingly always misses time and nothing future wise behind him - last by a good margin

It's not necessarily tanking, they're going to suck regardless. But teams that bottom out and wipe the slate clean at least open the door for a new direction.

The offensive play-design is not a problem.

People want to criticize the WRs, but they've been open in all 3 games. Reagor/Jackson have been getting separation down field. Ward was getting open against zone coverage a lot yesterday. Sanders is winning most of the time.

It's the QB.

Yes it is. The offense is crap.  When there is only 1/2 of a guy open on every play, in today's NFL that is garbage

I hate to argue with Schwartz, but ever since he’s been here as DC the CB position seems impossible to learn in his system unless your name is Slay

Yeah I’m fine with that at this point. Like he hasn’t looked like the same player since 2017.

There's this weird group in here that think people (dont ask me who?) are defending Wentz
