With everything going wrong w/this team, it's ridiculous for people to be calling out Greg Ward.  He's a rare bright spot in this raging dumpster fire.

That would be true but Jordan Reed got hurt last game after getting rolled up on. He hurt his knee and ankle. It's still early in the week so maybe he can go but I have my doubts. So maybe there's a slim chance that 47 won't get us completely killed.

Senseless. Cutting them is without a doubt not going to send the message you suggest.  JJAW is a contested catch receiver.  Carson needs accuracy to throw the contested catch.  JP should offer to retire and go into coaching.  Gerry is very good on STs and offers something as a back up.   I am all for IR for JJAW, retirement for JP or let him try RG, either way it is a sunk cost, and starting Taylor over Gerry.  I am afraid that as long as they are in the race for the division that they won’t make such moves.  But cutting them is not a solution.

He is??

The  bigger mistake than drafting JJAW over DK was passing on Juan Thornhill, Nasir Adderly or even Taylor Rapp.

Nah, Hurts over Chinn, who was reportedly top player on the board at the time.

It makes absolutely no sense if Chinn was their top guy but went with Hurts.

I am going to do a revisionist history redraft since the Super Bowl over the next couple of days and post, based off popular players the MB wanted us to draft.

Very impressive, then you also projected this awful start.

I thought they’d start 2-4. The rams game to me was a toss up and i thought mcvay was due to beat us though. i did think they would lose niners, steelers and ravens aka the next 3 games. But if they did start 2-4 (possibly 3-3) they’d go on a run to be 4-4 before the bye. Then beat the giants and browns in and be 6-4 before they’d losing to the Seahawks, Packers, saints, cardinals and Dallas. Win the last game of the year vs. Washington. I thought 8-8/7-9 with the rams/browns/cardinals games being Toss ups. Likely losing 2 of 3 but in my prediction on here i chose 8-8 not 7-9 but i thought 7-9 was as likely. Went a little optimistic and chose 8-8 i shouldve listened to my gut. Cardinals they never play well in az since az was in the nfc East. I kind of thought losing either to the rams or browns was probably more likely to occur then sweeping them or being swept

I'm Fing tired of the BS in this town. Every Fing team except maybe the Flyers just have been blatantly neglecting fixing glaring problems.

I've said many times I think ego is more responsible for sports failure than anything else. Most mistakes all come back to ego. Contract disputes, getting rid of good players, unwilling to fire bad coaches/GMs, unwilling to change philosophies, unwilling to admit you're wrong, etc.

We have ownership and/or front offices in this town who either don't care enough or their egos are too big to admit they're wrong.

How hasn't Howie addressed WR or LB better? How did he leave his QB out to dry like this?

How haven't the Sixers added a better GM than Brand when it was the #1 coveted GM job in sports? How come they haven't added shooters and ball handlers?

How haven't the Phillies fired Klentak yet? The owner had to overstep him to fire Kapler, yet he decides to still keep him employed. Then he blatantly neglects the bullpen.

Philly fans deserve better than this. These people either don't care enough or are just flat out incompetent. Be better.

He’s not a 1st round pick so he must suck. Half the board are ready to use 2021 1st on another WR or QB not understanding this team has much worse structural problems.

The problem right now is that every concept that anyone had went out the window with the injuries.  The machine is limping along with a bunch of worn or missing gears that we couldn't project and is making this hard to watch.  If I would have told you then that Greg Ward would be your #1 and a worn out Jason Peters (a guy the team didn't even want) was the starting LT,  you'd have called it differently.  That's what makes if so baffling around here...no matter what happens, the team is supposed to be perfect.  Wentz perfect.  Doug perfect.  Win every game.

Rant over. Not directed at you.

Either not understanding, or deflecting from the REAL problems which obviously lie elsewhere.

Unlike most of this trash roster, Greg Ward has a chance to be here when we finally start winning again.  He's obviously mentally tough to climb up from the bottom to where he is now, and to continue performing well while things are falling apart around him.

We need more guys who are hungry like Greg Ward, and less of the fat, happy, and complacent types littering the rest of the roster.

This next draft we really need to focus on offensive line, defensive end and linebacker

Ward has grit and heart.  He's not a #1 wide receiver option on any other team in the league, but he is doing his absolute best in a tough situation.

You've removed yourself from Carson's nads long enough to embarrass yourself again.  Keep trying to convince us that your boyfriend is leading us to the promised land bruh.

You're exactly the type of clown I mentioned who has been deflecting from Carson's atrocious performances.

The thing with Greg Ward was something i alluded to two weeks before the season started. I even talked this back after the draft that it was the dumbest idea to just go into a season with three rookies, Jjaw, ward and desean (i thought goodwin was not very good/injury prone as well anyway and likely to be cut to keep Watkins).  It wasn’t that hard to see that.

I like the rookies because they have upside and talented.  I think have bright futures but you’re asking rookies to play significant snaps in a pandemic year where it wasn’t a normal off-season. People got excited because last year there was a handful of rookies that hit the ground running and we’re good. However the stats show you that most of the time that’s not gonna happen. That’s more of a rarity than the norm. Kapadia dove into that in March when the eagles decided to go this route. It was Always going to take them time to get on the same page and learn the nuances of being a professional receiver. You’re seeing that now.

Add on I didn’t trust DeSean Jackson to do anything this year. He’s 34 years old and I wasn’t banking on him for anything. I thought it was ridiculous that the Eagles we’re just banking on him being healthy enough throughout the course of the season. Just as ridiculous as Alshon returning from a major foot injury and not playing in 10 months and yet he’s somehow going to be productive. He look like he was declining before the injury. Anything you got from them was gravy even though both contracts are bad. With JJAW I’ve stopped listening to the Eagles hype machine a couple years back. They spin things to make themselves look better in the public and to get them on their side and then when it comes to actual production on the field it’s just not there. So I’ve learned any time the eagle start putting things out there I’ll believe it when I see it on the field. Really it wasn’t that hard to see that desean would get hurt That’s like clockwork, relying on rookies wasn’t a great plan and that jjaw was a bust

The peters thing different because you didn’t know Dillard was going to get hurt. However I thought it was an eagles spin job to just assume he was going to play right guard well after Brooks went down. I would’ve tried to convince worford to be the right guard and not sit out. The money would’ve been better spent

Stupid Eagles fans having faith in their franchise QB!!  We should all be as smart as you!

Don’t forget outside corner. Maddox sucks. Guy currently has a 45 grade by pff. And that’s not a made up grade by PFF he’s been that bad

It doesn't take a genius to see Wentz doesn't have "it".  At least if you're not still living in 2017.  That guy ain't coming back.  The only reason he'll still be here for another year or two is contract issues and the sunk cost fallacy.

Wentz needs to visit a sports therapist

Pretty safe bet to say that about anyone Howie drafts round 1.

This will be a great game tonight.

Every team needs a Greg Ward type receiver, not everybody can run a 4.4 40 and be a first round pick

Once again, Howie failed, and so did Schwartz. Maddox is simply not a number two, or a good number two nor should have been handed that job. I doubt Howie gets fired, if we are 5-10-1 or worse though, maybe Howie loses some of his power. Schwartz I don’t think will be brought back as this is the last year of his deal. Very much looking forward to a new d-coordinator and some actual linebackers. I’d love to get a defense that’s in the top 5
