Rodgers would play in this scenario. Not that he’s anything special as a blocker. 

This season is going down the toilet. I’d rather take a shot on a move like this than some TE that we know stinks. That said, it’s more likely Butler gets cut in three weeks than develops into a legit TE, and I’m OK with that.

First down options.  

A. go for the big play and miss creating 2nd and 10

B. play it conservative and get 2-3 yards creating 2nd and long.

Second down options.

A. Because they are in 2nd and 10, they play it conservative and get a 2 or 3 yard play, creating 3rd and 7/8.

B. Go for the big play and miss creating 3rd and 10.

C. Go for the big play, Carson ignores underneath, gets sacked. 

3rd down options.

A. 3rd and 7, go for the first down, come up short/bad pass/short route.

B. 3rd and 10, Carson wants the home run, refuses to take the easy play underneath for 1st, holds ball and gets sacked

C. Carson sack has created 3rd and forever, DP calls a draw.

Butler is only 220lb or so.  Not a big guy and an ex-WR.  Blocking probably not his thing.

Hakeem Butler at tight end.  Well we are converting 220-230 LB safeties to linebacker and that's working out like a dream so why not 220-230 WR to TE. GENIUS!  The Eagles once again smarter than everyone.  

Meanwhile, Noah Togiai, the tight end they released is doing this. He's the man in motion who destroys his man.

So what if Taylor is raw and makes mistakes.  Doesn’t sound any worse than Gerry or Riley are doing. 

If this is the best they can do at tight end the fug it....play all the rookies.  Develop the young talent you've drafted.  I know it's slim pickings for quality back up tight ends but how about signing a real tight end.  Are they hoping he turns in to Darren Waller?

They will come around just give it a few more weeks, look at our schedule I see no wins except maybe skins and a Giants win
