So Brees not winning a game without him since 2016 despite being a SB winning HOF bound player before him may not be so meaningful.

Had to have been more than 1 because Bridgewater played more than 1 game and there was that little controversy

When Reagor returns, he needs to come back healthy, he needs to come out swinging, and he needs to stay healthy.

It's a lot to ask of a young player, but so much of a turnaround (forget 2020, I'm talking 2021, 2022) rests on his shoulders.

We can't have another dud draft pick.  Him completing a rookie season with about 8GP and 300 yards and 2 TDs would be a disaster.  They need a rookie to finally declare themselves as something better than a sloppy bunt for single.

I don’t think he will ever be worthy of pick 21 to be honest

I thought you meant just Thomas games he missed. He’s only missed one based off his pro football reference stats.

Miles Sanders isn't getting a second contract here, guy is on the injury report every other week for soft tissue injuries.

Interesting. So should Goedert? Everyone wants to trade Ertz but this dude has also been hurt and missing games every year

You're right. I mixed it up lol

So Brees has only lost 2 games this season and 1 game last season because Thomas was injured?

That's not really a stat. Whoever said on tv was making it a bigger thing than it was

That was a bad throw

How many of goedert's injuries are soft tissue related? The one he has now is not. Every one of sanders' injuries seems to be soft tissue, mostly hamstring going back to even last year.

That uber eats commercial was just weird

Calf last year and shoulder his rookie year. This year wasn’t soft tissue but still broken thumb and ankle. Just find it interesting most people want to put all their eggs in his basket and give him a top contract but he seems constantly on the injury report as well. I hope he doesn’t turn into a Tyler Eifert like TE.

I actually had the same thoughts and said what you did on Sunday during the game and after the game. I don’t know how you feel comfortable just giving him him a big-time contract and every single year He has been in the league has missed games. Like we all don’t want to extend Zach Ertz due to the money But I give Zach Ertz a ton of credit he’s missed like one game that I can remember in the last like 3 to 4 years and that was because you lacerated kidney

I didn't know Nelson Agholor played for the Broncos...

Sheesh. Guys in this blog complaining about Reagor, Sanders, and Goedert. You have soooo many legitimate gripes against Howie Roseman, and those are the guys you complain about? And the same people will do contortionist acts to defend Wentz overthrowing an open receiver by 5 yards? Get real, come on.

Hardly complaining. It’s an evolving discussion and better than "errr Wentz sucks, Foles rules! cap hell! JJAW stinky!”

I agree with breaking up the monotony, but it doesn't read that way most of the time.

Haven't been keeping up with much the past few days. Are folks already excusing a potential Wentz meltdown this weekend by saying he has no receivers to throw to?

I like Miles, at the time I rather the eagles drafted Darrell Henderson (who has taken off now that TG is gone), but Miles is a very good move by Howie.

I also loved Henderson. That picked didn’t look good up until the eagles game and last week he looked great.

Not hard to see why those two teams were winless

Fair enough, I’ve been mostly skimming tonight and just thought Goederts injury history was at least worth pondering if people were comfortable giving him a big contract and relying on him as the guy at TE. He’s unquestionably talented, but I think it’s a bit concerning how much he gets nicked up.

Yea. I also get Goedert is more a traditional TE compared to Ertz so the physicality he brings to table will probably gets him dinged more than Ertz. We also went through a very nice stretch of Celek and Ertz never really being hurt for like 15 years.

The Eagles could extend Goedert for far less money than Ertz is demanding.  No question that Ertz has given a lot to the organization, but he doesn’t block and doesn’t break tackles — neither will get any better with age, they will only get worse

I’m not sure about the far less part. Top 3 are Hooper, Kelce, Kittle. Mark Andrews is due a contract the same time as Goedert. I think Goedert ends up like the 3rd or 4th highest paid TE which is probably where Ertz would end up with an extension. But yes, it would make more sense to go with the younger guy.

Time will tell, but I can’t say I agree.  Andrews is actually quite a bit more productive than Goedert from a strictly pass catching standpoint.  If I’m Howie (lots of people are glad I’m not), I’d sign Goedert to a contract extension early, at the end of this season before the price for TE goes even higher.  From a roster construction perspective I would move Ertz for a future pick — likely a 2nd round but try for an additional mid round pick

Cowboys only 1/2 game ahead so they can’t be that far behind either
