Oh and for the sake of "Keeping your sense of Humor"

Sanctimoniously trying to get Eric Cartman to not think little people are funny goes nowhere. Have at it  " #Champ " .

My 11th grade English teacher was a dwarf.  I first encountered him as a substitute teacher in ninth grade.  When we filed into the class that period, he was sitting on a stool behind a podium. After the bell range, he jumped down from the stool and Cheryl (not the brightest person) shouts out "s%%t he disappeared.”  In summers he worked at the local amusement park.

I'm not defending a quarter back. I'm defending that in 2017 he was a better pocket passer than what he is now, he isn't in fact in 2017 he played the exact same "hero ball" and was probably a little better at it. Tools (surrounding cast) are much worse now (I'm also not saying that he's been very good as of late).

The hero ball thing is a double edged sword. We want him to be aggressive, but it needs to be a controlled aggression. My biggest issue is just the bouts of inaccuracy and the brain dead decisions.

Edit: The decision-making is a 2020 thing for the most part. Wanted to clarify.

I don't think that's unfair.

TLDR: The offense has no identity

I watched the all 22. DJax speed looked pedestrian.   Wonder if the hammy was giving him issues until he sat down.

One thing Doug does consistently refer to is 1st down, like a bizarre fixation on first down.  Apparently 1st down dictates nearly everything that happens on offense.

I know first down is important but he seems to overemphasize it quite a bit

And when first down does not go how he scripted it he does not know what to do.

I know its all coach speak and what not but I also find it aggravating how much they emphasize "manageable third downs". It's so tiring to watch a team constantly lead the league in third down attempts because every drive is so slow paced.

Remember a couple years ago when 3rd and long was not a problem.   Doug and Wentz need to get it fixed.

So my local 12 O'clock news just said NFL postponed 2 more Titans games because of COVID, but haven't seen that anywhere else. Interesting. Pretty sure the editor confused "two more players testing positive" with two more games postponed lol.

First down is where an offense should call its most aggressive plays — not just deep balls but intermediate crossing routes, etc.  The percentage is lower but if you miss you still have second and third down to convert.  The defense also plays most aggressively on third and long, so on first down you’re less likely to have to account for blitzes, etc.

For the folks who consistently jump to Wentz's defense, I have 2 questions.

1. Do you believe Wentz can ever be the 2017 version of himself again?
2. Do you believe a QB can be a true franchise QB is he's an erratic/inconsistent passer?

Not looking good for Trevor Williams. Just move Mills back already.

The "one healthy WR" panic was an absolute joke.

Why, because they now have 2?

Obvious answer to number 1

Ridiculous question for number 2

And I don't think anyone here consistently "jumps to Wentz's defense". I think when the criticism is ridiculous that people defend him.

1.  Yes, but that will require better coaching

2.  Yes, Brett Favre says hello

Agreed. This generalization that there are posters consistently jumping to Wentz defense is amazing. From the past game the most defense i've seen for Carson was "that was a bad pass, but it hit Ertz in both hands. He needs to catch that." or "that was a bad read and decision by Wentz but the ball was tipped at the line."

WENTZ WASHERS!

PFF's Lowest-graded QBs (min. 50 snaps):

➤ Dwayne Haskins - 36.2
➤ Brett Rypien - 40.5
➤ Drew Lock - 42.7
➤ Carson Wentz - 47.3
➤ Jeff Driskel - 55.1 https://t.co/RRM0zI6Skz

If we have a team like 2017, you will magically see the 2017 version of Wentz

He is the franchise QB. Get over it

Hightower, Deontay Burnett, and JJAW were always projected to play. Yes, the panic was ridiculous.

The answer to number 1 isn't obvious at all. 2 major injuries since then and significantly worse play.
