October 2, 20204 yr With the injury news its kind of baffling to me they are trying to convert Butler to a TE. Maybe in the long term, sure. But wouldn't it make sense to give reps at WR so maybe he can actually contribute this week? Instead they basically used him as a Kittle decoy against the Defense.
October 2, 20204 yr It's messed up but I rather they put Mailata in even if Peters was healthy Good thing 49ers are so injured otherwise Wentz is getting killed

Peters is shot, the season is shot, they need to play Mailata and let him get some playing time. I don't think he would be any worse than what was out their this past Sunday.

I think it would be more respectful to just bench him before he tarnishes his legacy even more.
October 2, 20204 yr I hate to be so pessimistic but I don't think this matters with Mullens, McKinnon, Deebo and Kittle playing.

October 2, 20204 yr I wonder if the NFLPA is rethinking their offseason stance with so many players suffering injuries? The Broncos signed and played Jernigan without him setting foot in their practice facility. As for Sunday... NBC have quite a turd to polish

Because from day one , Quez was my guy. All the PHILLY Media dopes are the ones who talked up Hightower. Still hope he pans out. I wanted to started DeSean, Reagor and Quez .... but who's listening?

October 2, 20204 yr So... here's what I am looking for on Sunday night... Good play. I don't need anything 'extraordinary'. I want the goal to be... 'move the chains'. Get a first down. Get another first down. If a shot is there, take it. If not, take the check down and live to play the next down. Look for simple reads, simple pitch and catch. The trouble in all of this, is the WR corps remains in complete upheaval. Its hard for a QB to 'trust his receivers' when the QB doesn't know week to week who he'll have available. The constant has been Ertz. But, now he's lost Goedert, his new security blanket. Desean is out, the only 'vet' WR. He's got his top rookie out. He's got a rookie that can't run good routes, but has speed in Hightower. He's got a rookie that's been on IR, and hasn't practiced much. He's got a WR in JJAW who appears to be lost everywhere. So... the answer is.. zone reads, run the rock, and trust your only playmaker left - Sanders. Move the chains. And don't shoot yourself in the foot.
October 2, 20204 yr Watching Sixto pitch is just cringeworthy. It's worse than watching our WRs run routes. A different kind of cringe. That trade alone should get Klentak fired, let alone all the other issues. He may turn out to be the best player traded away from Philly in a very, very long time.
October 2, 20204 yr We've certainly seen much worse Phillies/Sixers/Eagles teams over the years. But I'm not sure if the 3 of them, collectively, in the same year, have ever been so exceptionally uncomfortable and painful to follow and watch. All 3 teams could not possibly be less enjoyable to watch on TV. All in the same year.

Four CBs, Slay, NRC, LeBlanc and Mills can play CB. Arguably, Wallace can play nickel. Plus Arnold, on PS was more CB in college. WR, Ward, Hightower, so only two but Burnett on PS, plus Fulgham if they want size of Green, if they want speed. Also, I believe they have until Saturday afternoon if they want to activate Watkins.
