Watching Sixto pitch is just cringeworthy.  It's worse than watching our WRs run routes.  A different kind of cringe.

That trade alone should get Klentak fired, let alone all the other issues.  He may turn out to be the best player traded away from Philly in a very, very long time.

I get trading Sixto... but, the failing for the move with Klentak is that he traded Sixto and hasn't locked up Realmuto.  If you are going to trade away a talent like Sixto, then you need to lock up the guy whom you traded for.  He didn't.  Fail.   And even if they get him signed, they still lose, because they are now going to pay 'market price'.  Signing him while you had him under control would have potentially allowed you to get a slightly better price, albeit not much.

But, add that to Klentak's completely inept attempts to build up the pitching staff is the next major strike.

Add in the idea of maintaining Kapler beyond last year, as well as even hiring him in the first place... that's the 3rd strike.

He has to go, but the fact that he's not gone yet, likely means he won't be going anywhere, which is a major disappointment, and you can likely write off the Phillies being a legit contender for the next 10 years.

Can't be any worse than JJAW

I have the same stats as JJAW this year.

Mailata time.

I wonder if we've seen the last of JP.  If Mailata plays I think he would show enough potential that you have to keep playing him.  Doubt it.

Might be a good time to IR JP.

It would spare him the embarrassment of getting benched.

Four CBs, Slay, NRC, LeBlanc and Mills can play CB.  Arguably, Wallace can play nickel. Plus Arnold, on PS was more CB in college.

WR, Ward, Hightower, so only two but Burnett on PS, plus Fulgham if they want size of Green, if they want speed.  Also, I believe they have until Saturday afternoon if they want to activate Watkins.

They do have until tomorrow but at most they can have a combo of 3 players unless they IR someone else. So cant have all of Watkins, Burnett, Fulgham and Arnold. I've been a calling for Mills back to CB all week, but then your gonna have Epps play the majority with only Kvonn as back up.

I don't care about the 6'2" kid, but who the Hell was that kid who came flying in to make a really nice tackle on him?  That was BDawk-esque, that was.  Chopped him down like a damned tree.

IMO, trading Sixto was a mistake had they immediately signed JT to a team friendly 6 year deal.  Failing to get a deal done obviously dug a deeper hole.

When is Will Parks gonna be ready to play?

Hazelton is supposed to be scouting these games for us. I’m surprised he didn’t have this scoop prior to the video being released

I think you’d be surprised how few people actually want that and how few people have actually said that.

I’d go as far as to say I’ve never heard a single person via media or fans who wants all 3.

Yup.  That 6'2" kid won't make it.  Instead, he might end up an OL, at best.   Slow as molasses.

Well, sure, he had a high ceiling, but this team didn't win a World Series when they had the 4 aces.  They won the World Series while they had 1 ace, a retread, a grandpa, an 'innings-eater'... and a stellar back 3 in the bullpen and big boppers 1 through 8.

The band box that is Citizens Bank Park means you need lots of bats, and a strong bullpen to shut it down after you get the lead.

Not interested in the thoughts of people like that, personally.  Lowest common denominator type thinking.

Have you never visited the boards before?

There's no way that's a 10 year old. No way.

I believe it.

My friends little brother was a MONSTER growing up.

He was about 5'5 and 150 in 1st grade.

Later, in peewee football you had to wear a different colored sock if you weighed over 120 I think. The sock meant you couldn't handle the ball during the game. He had to wear 2 colored socks because he was twice the weight of those wearing 1.

They drew up a play where he pulled around the end and picked up their RB, the smallest kid in their class, and would run with him in his arms just to see if the refs would call it because he was technically advancing the runner, not the ball.

😂
