Thinking his knee is an issue. Little tape I saw from TC, it looked like he was in a brace. Juriga makes better sense given Seumalo is on IR and Herbig is LG.  C back up.  Priority UDFA. Gets to second level well. Pass pro needed work.

all this is honestly for the best. We needed to bottom out to make Lurie take notice of how bad it all is. Hopefully this does it. The Eagles being 0-5-1 would be the worst they’ve been in many many years, that’s impossible to ignore.

You would think, but Lurie is loyal to a fault and I wouldn’t put it past him to blame injuries and a pandemic affected offseason and keep Howie around.

Sadly I think the team will blame injuries and lack of offseason for this mess and carry forward with the status quo.

In fairness we had guys like maddox playing outside corner who had no business playing outside corner. 

even with the injuries their roster construction this past offseason sucked. Relying on desean to stay healthy was a dumb decision. Relying on rookies was a bad decision. Relying on peters to make it through games or a 16 game season was also a questionable decision. The brooks and seumalo injuries were unexpected but in brooks case his injuries over the last 2 years have been beginning to pile up. The corner position was a mess as they believed maddox is still actually good. They should’ve kept one of douglas or jones as Williams is a journeyman and James has never proven to be a quality backup in the league. I could at least say douglas had stretches of good play. I haven’t mentioned linebacker. They are healthy and just suck

I’m not arguing that the roster is great. I’m arguing that our injury situation is league average. It isn’t. The average team doesn’t have three important position groups ravaged by injuries by Week 4.

Im not happy with Peters being hurt, but I’m happy he’s not playing. He should’ve never been on the roster. Let the younger guys play.

It’s not. However some of it is by their own doing. Like it didn’t take a rocket scientist to know alshon, desean or peters would get hurt. Heck even maddox it shouldn’t has in his first three seasons he’s missed time every single year. Some of their injury situation falls on poor decisions to rely on players who tend to get hurt. Seumalo i can’t say that or reagor as he’s young and a rookie. But even goedert has shown to miss games over the first three seasons.

Well Doug will game plan to have Carson throw 55+ times and only run 20 times cause the 49ers have the top rated pass defense in the league so its best to disguise the run by throwing more. So the 49ers game plan has to be to attack Richard Rogers right? Only thing that makes sense. 

All honestly I can see it now. 49ers will double Ertz and man up on every one else due to our poor route running. Doug will be Doug and start off running and do it well but then by the mid 1st he will abandon the run and throw 55+ times and end with 25 runs. A losing combination.

Promoting Burnett just to cut him when Watkins comes back puts him through waivers. Their approach makes sense if this is just a one week band aid.

Honestly with how players are dropping like flies on other teams its possible. We have players out there that were on our practice squads that are actually making impacts on teams. Goes to show maybe some of the coaches cant evaluate the players Howie is getting. DeAndre Carter keeps popping up in my head. I know hes only one name but Im sure there more.

Well both automatically revert to PS. The other guys you could cut and they probably clear waivers. Yes, both can be claimed if not protected, but Eagles could potentially block that by promoting them to them the active roster. The way they are doing it gives them a little more security than just promoting Burnett and cutting him when people come off IR.

I guess calling them up to the 53 is a team starts sniffing around is plausible. I just don’t see teams being interested in any of our callups.
