I really hate those plays. Sending out Wentz to line up as a WR literally does nothing. Just take him off the field if Hurts is going to take the direct snap.

If I'm not mistaken, Chase is sitting out this year.  Wonder if that hurts his draft stock at all.  I'm sure he'll still go in the 1st but maybe slip to 10-20 range if he isnt playing this season.

Other than a few red zone and short yardage plays, I see that stuff having minimal impact. This staff isn’t as creative as Payton to use Hurts like they use Taysom Hill. It’s not a sustainable type of offensive plan. Everything hinges on how Wentz plays.

Doug needs to do something like what Miami did years ago when they surprised the Pats with the wildcat and beat them.  I'm not saying we should run the wildcat. But, maybe we shouldn't use 12 personnel hardly at all tomorrow. Maybe a few 2 back sets with Killins and Sanders in there and run some screens off that formation. Maybe give Hurts 10 plays or so with a few designed runs.  Just shake up the formation looks and give SF something that they would have no way of planning for.  I don't think we can just line up and beat them tomorrow with conventional football.

Finally logged back in. It has been months. I couldn't take it anymore. This team is a complete dumpster fire. I'm still furious about the draft. 

Howie Roseman has to be the worst GM of the last 3 years. Don't forget the Golden Tate trade. Wentz is broken.

Saints had a positive COVID test. So that game tomorrow is likely postponed.

We're soon reaching a breaking point. This isn't a sport where you can cram in double headers, I think if we get a few more of these pop up in the next week, the season is going to be suspended.

Starting this season was a mistake to begin with.  For the exact reason you just said.  You can't play 2.  What happens if a game like Steelers-Titans that's been moved to week 7, can't be played at that point because of players having covid.  When do you move it to?   That only worked out because of Bye weeks being at just the right time.  That wont be the case every time it happens.

They could postpone it til Tuesday I guess, but there's no doubt they're going to have challenges going forward. They might have to add a week or two at the end of the season.

Does anyone know if when these games are made up they still air nationally if they were originally scheduled?

So for example will the Patriots Chiefs still be a national game except just on Tuesday?

I'd imagine it would be Tuesday night on CBS? Maybe NFLN? Definitely should be televised nationally

That’s the thing I don’t get. Could they post pone it till Tuesday? Sure. But look at the Titans. They started testing positive Monday or Tuesday and everyday since  was a new positive test. So do you risk it playing 2 days later?

I’m guessing if it gets really bad the entire league would just shut down for two weeks and try to start again. They at least have flexibility on their side since these stadiums aren’t getting booked for much else

I assume so, I think CBS has the national rights to it and I'm sure it still applies even though moved to a different day.

No he isn’t solid. He’s been bad. Especially this year. It’s not just the fact pff has him at a 45 grade. He’s legitimately regressed every single year since his rookie year. And he misses weeks every single year. Even pff has noticed. He’s gone form 63 to 58 to 45 and teams are specifically targeting him knowing slay is good and he’s not. That’s a erroneous statement to say he’s solid. He wasn’t good last year either. Before sendejo knocked him out he had given up the most yards, receptions and tds to slot receivers in the league through 4 games. When he returned he wasn’t much better. He still finished bottom half of the league in term of slot corners.
