Maddox regressed from year 1 to 2 but I feel like everyone did with Undlin as position coach. He’s not an outside CB but I wouldn’t give up on him just yet as the slot guy.

The issue is you’re entering the last year of his contract In 2021 and you’re going to have to either pay him and hope he turns it around. or you’re gonna play it out and if he plays well then you’re gonna have to overpay him for what FA market value would be. It’s not an ideal situation. Frankly i think Leblanc is a better slot corner. And i don’t think Leblanc is anything Special. I wouldn’t extend him until i see how he finishes this year and plays next year. 

either way i don’t think they have a legitimate corner opposite of slay. Teams are basically just attacking NRC and maddox (when not gerry) and trying to stay away from slay as much as possible. And no developmental prospects there. It’s maddox (not an outside corner), Williams and James

Yeah, I'm no infectious disease expert. I would think to play a game you'd have to have a couple days worth of positive tests, but there's a lot of different information out there about covid, so who knows for sure. It's a mess to say the least.

Yea I’d gamble playing Maddox on the last year of his rookie deal. With the cap situation next year, go with the guy that’s cheap. If he balls out, so be it. They brought in Robinson and LeBlanc for cheap and both worked. Maddox and Boykin both worked out short term. I wouldn’t dump a ton of resources into it.

I’m for drafting another slot corner in the 4-5th round range like they did with maddox. I still think they need to address outside corner high in the draft. Slay is gonna be 30 and you have nothing else. I think their top 3 needs are DE, WR and CB (I’d say linebacker but I’m guessing they refuse to take another one in the top 3 rounds). 

I’d have OT up there depending on mailata. If mailata actually pans out i don’t think LT is a big need plus you have dillard. 

frankly it’s super depressing how many needs this team has. Legitimately WR, DE, LB, safety, corner and OT are all big needs at the moment.

but, who knows, with all the surprises 2020 has thrown at us, maybe they can still surprise us ? in a good way ?  or do we wish for them to lose and draft early, so as to squander yet another draft pick hahah.
