It’s not an ideal situation. Frankly i think Leblanc is a better slot corner. And i don’t think Leblanc is anything Special. I wouldn’t extend him until i see how he finishes this year and plays next year. either way i don’t think they have a legitimate corner opposite of slay. Teams are basically just attacking NRC and maddox (when not gerry) and trying to stay away from slay as much as possible. And no developmental prospects there. It’s maddox (not an outside corner), Williams and James We've seen the best of Maddox. He is what he is. There is no reason to extend him. Heck there is no reason he should be starting outside the fact that there was no one else.

October 4, 20204 yr One random question that has been overlooked amid the dumpster fire...I don't say this to save the season late in the year, I say it to salvage a first round pick and give them a head start on next year. Dillard is on IR with what looks like a several month biceps tear. It would be nice to see him return for the last 1-2 games of the season just to show us (and himself) something, anything at LT to provide a little confidence for 2021.
October 4, 20204 yr LeBlanc has done his job better than any non-Slay DB on the team...and frankly...that fact stands going back the last 2 years. He has minimal slot responsibilities and always gets the job done. Schwartz is always loathe to use him though.

October 4, 20204 yr They’ve been gearing Mailata up for a situation like this for the past two years. I really hope he can show something and prove he can play. Because I am completely done with Peters.
October 4, 20204 yr Obviously, the Eagles would crush Alabama in a head to head matchup. But I actually believe Alabama is much more talented. I think last year's Alabama team (which didn't even win it all)...with all players matured 5 years into the future at 24-27...would handle the Eagles pretty easily.

October 4, 20204 yr I really don’t know what to make of tonight’s game. Preseason if you said Wentz was healthy and the niners QB was Nick Mullins I’d guess we were 10 point favorites.

Prepackaged excuse to not make any moves this offseason except to replace Schwartz. Howie and Doug aren't going anywhere.

As it is though I just don't know how this team is going to move the ball consistently and score points.

It would be nice to see him return for the last 1-2 games of the season just to show us (and himself) something, anything at LT to provide a little confidence for 2021. Let's say he had surgery September 1. I tore my bicep a few years back in January and I was back at it full strength in May. I had a very pedestrian twice a week rehab. Now we all question the Eagles medical staff and their strength training staff but an NFL caliber strength rehab program should have him back in let's say 4 months. He could potentially get back like you for the last 2 games. I'm guessing at that point, the Eagles are playing for pride and not contention. My hope is Mailata plays his first game of many at LT today and it becomes a non issue and Dillard can either be a reserve tackle (horrible 1st round value) or they can trade him next year. If Mailata flounders and we are still searching at the end of the year and NFL rules allow him to come back then yea, I'm all for Dillard playing a few meaningless games.

Jones showed so much potential and was finally a big legit NFL WR. I was so excited about him. Unfortunate his knees got destroyed. Not a blunder, just injuries.
