My goals for tonight:

1.  Mailata looks like the future at LT.  I don't expect this.  I'd be stunned, shocked if it happened.  But it's still the only source of excitement any Eagles fan has for this game.

2. Wentz gets back on track.  I don't expect 350 yards and 3TDs.  That's not really an option in Doug's 12 personnel no WR offense.  But baseball slumps don't end with HRs, they end with a day in which you go 4-5.  I just want to see Wentz protect the football and not leave big plays on the field.  Just make the crisp accurate reads and throws your awful weapons do give you.

3.  A rookie makes a play.  Someone, anyone.  In the draft that was supposed to be Howie's salvation, I'd like to see one of his rookie draft picks do something.  

4.  Finish the evening in first place.  It almost feels scummy and sarcastic to mention first place and a playoff spot with this team.  But hey, that's what's on the table tonight.

Having listened to the media talk about how this Dallas' year, their D has looked worse than the Eagles O at what they do.

As for next off-season, the D co-ordinator will dictate the draft to an extent.  Let's see how the likes of Hightower and Reagor get on before settling on a WR eh?  There could be bigger hole to fill

So despite everything, we are one win away tonight from 1st place if the day continues like this.  We can literally turn our season around tonight.  

The NFC East is trash. The Eagles could be in first with a win tonight. 😂🤣😂🤦🏾‍♂️

Stoutland needs to make this game as normal as possible for Mailata. Make it small, keep it simple and let his talent shine.  The kid will get beat at times, but he was drafted for this and has to have confidence in his ability.

The hard part is none of the TEs are really blockers and the RBs outside of Sanders have been inconsistent in pass protection.

I don't think Hightower and Reagor are going to leave anyone thinking we have any locked in answers for 2021.  

I'm a Reagor fan too...but between his inability to stay healthy early and extrinsic issues such as the QB, OL, and Doug's erratic scheme...the odds are pretty heavily stacked against him proving much as a rookie...and that's before we even consider what he is or is not capable of.

Hightower is a 5th round pick.  The chances of him showing enough as a rookie to instill any kind of confidence in wiping away a WR need for 2021 are infintessimally low.

If they don't add a major talent to WR in this offseason, it's very likely they find themselves in their familiar situation of plundering practice squads for Wentz's top targets midseason.

Here’s a better stat for you nerds. If we can just eek out a tie tonight we are tied for first place in the NFCE

At the moment, we don't know... And so far, Hightower has been doing the right things without getting the catchable balls to show it.  There could be bigger needs at OL, LB, CB or S than another 1st round WR.  Esp if Ertz and Goedert are retained

Do you think you will see a lot of 12 personnel with no Goedert? I hope we see more 2 back sets and using Hurts in a few different roles with 3 wide. I know they don’t have wide receivers either,  but I’m hoping they spread it out to get more space for Sanders. I hope Mr. Rugby holds up too. As for Wentz if he manages the game and tries not to be a hero he might get back to being himself. Don’t force it. Pick your poison, would you rather see Richard Rodgers or Travis Fulgham on the field tonight? I think they go pretty heavy at 12 to help Mailata out and free Ertz up to run routes

The biggest need is, basically, philosophically what positions you feel are most important.  

Thanks to Howie, we have nothing at WR, nothing at LB, nothing beyond a pricey vet at CB, nothing at S, nothing at OL outside of the RT, LG, and a rehabbing RG.  We are about to also have nothing at DE.

Philosophically, I would prioritize a WR for Wentz.  But "need" is everything, everywhere because we have an incompetent GM.

Ertz and Sanders are their only real weapons. No way the 49ers let him get loose. Someone else is going to need to step up. Might have to lean on Sanders and the backs more. 

These Cowboys announcers are terrible. It doesn’t matter if DPJ touched the ball or not on a KO. This isn’t a punt, it’s a live ball regardless

And even who is GM and HC will dictate it too. If Kelce retires, that position can be added to the list too.  With a bad cap position, WR could be a compromise position or cheap FA.

If we have any WR posts those stats it’s a good contribution. If Butler manages even one first down it would be good all things considered

I think the bigger issue, is if he had touched it, it wouldn't be a touchback if it hit the endzone. I could be wrong there though.
