With a bad cap position, WR could be a compromise position or cheap FA. 45 is too focused on wr we invested in assets there. Let them develop on the cheap a cheap vet would be fine

I’ve seen people bobble and drop a KO in the end zone just to pick it back up and kneel. Not sure what happens if you touch it out of the EZ first.

I hope we see more 2 back sets and using Hurts in a few different roles with 3 wide. I know they don’t have wide receivers either, but I’m hoping they spread it out to get more space for Sanders. I hope Mr. Rugby holds up too. As for Wentz if he manages the game and tries not to be a hero he might get back to being himself. Don’t force it. Take what the defense gives him, and get rid of the football by throwing it away and not taking unnecessary hits. I fear if he gets another turnover he will quickly spiral out of control. It will be very interesting. 12 personnel makes it easier to help Mailata. And Doug, regrettably, has absolutely massaged the 12 personnel into Wentz' comfort zone. Looking back, Wentz is not as comfortable with spread concepts, entirely as a function of both the way this offense has been run and the personnel they've had available. I'm guessing they'll dabble to see what works. Ward/Hightower with Ertz/Rodgers in 12 personnel is probably the highest comfort level for the coaches and Wentz (vomit). Ward/Hightower/Burnett with Ertz will be their primary look for stretching the field (vomit). Hakeem Butler...who doesn't know this offense, or how to be an NFL WR, or how to be an NFL TE...could afford some versatile creativity on the field with Ward/Hightower and Ertz. Line him up wide or put him at the LOS helping Mailata. That's asking a lot of a practice squad player without a position who has been with the team for 48 hours.

With a bad cap position, WR could be a compromise position or cheap FA. If Wentz does not have a high end passing year in 2021, he's gone. If they compromise at WR again this offseason, then Wentz will not have a high end passing year in 2021. So I would keep that in mind when prioritizing positions in the offseason, especially when investing in the defense.
October 4, 20204 yr All of Dak's stats are garbage because they're all made after his D gives up 30 points and the opponent relaxes. McCarthy is either an awful coach, or a genius.
