If Schwartz doesn't rate you then that says you are a good player.

He's fast enough but does other things really well.

I understand the Reagor pick as you need to add speed.  But he doesnt scream #1 WR type to me.  Higgins does and I think he will be that in the next few years.

Now if they have a top 5-10 pick and take Jamar Chase to pair him with Reagor and maybe Hightower and/or Watkins comes along then you have something.

No surprise to me, I was the driver of the Justin Jefferson bandwagon.   Funny thing about NFL WRs... generally, the fastest WRs, aren't the most productive.  I get why the Eagles went with Reagor over Jefferson, and Reagor's injuries just fit this team... but there was no way to foresee that going into the draft.   But, I never doubted for a minute that Jefferson would be a highly productive WR in the NFL.  Reagor looked good in his brief time, we just have to hope that the long game with Reagor plays out well for this team, because they did roll the dice going with Reagor over Jefferson.  Reagor might have a higher ceiling, and he might be the player with the greater explosive play ability, but I don't know how anyone who couldn't see Jefferson as an extremely high floor player (possibly the highest floor WR in this draft).

D'Ernest Johnson is a player. I wish he wasnt  buried on that backfield depth chart for Cleveland. But hes looked good when he gets chances and I see he got a solid chunk of work today. And of course, did good. 

Just taken a bet for both Kittle and Ertz to score TDs. Only a little bet but I like my chances. Kittle will feast on Gerry and our LBs. Ertz will catch a TD pass in garbage time.

Why does it have to be hate?  I saw any rookie contributions as happening mid to late season, as the very weird and limited offseason was going to **** the learning curve, and I think that is the bigger factor... Scwhartz trusting a player that's been in the NFL for longer to be more adept at making the right reads.    I'd love to see Wallace get a shot, because I was very high on him, he's my favorite draft pick by this team this year, but I am willing to be patient with him.

Because Schwarz has a well established history of keeping good players off the field at all costs. We know Epps sucks, and we have seen Epps make mistakes this season already. So making the right reads and trust is no excuse. Epps will F up as much as any rookie would. Get the better player out there and let him get experience and make plays.

I wouldn't go that far. Who is "good' that hasn't gotten playing time?

LeBlanc is better than NRC, and Maddox in the slot

Douglas was our best playmaking CB for a while and could hardly ever see the field unless there were like 15 injuries at CB. Now hes playing well for a different team.

Wallace is a victim off a no OTA offseason.  4-6 weeks time, could be a different situation.

Credit to douglas he was excellent today in covering Hopkins. I know Hopkins came in with an ankle injury but he had great position all day when the cardinals tried to go down the field with Hopkins. 

Jefferson is playing better than I anticipated. I didn’t want them to pick Jefferson. He looked like just a better Jordan Matthews which is what we didn’t need. I think I was getting too caught up on the speed thing as well but wanted a guy who could make plays down the field.
 

Alshon was never a burner but he still stretched the field. 

I'll admit I'm pumped now. I want to be able to go to my cowgirl fan coworkers and go "First place!!"

Fort is a 3-4 LB, not a 4-3 LB.  Square peg, round hole.

LeBlanc versus NRC, Douglas, etc... these are all fringe NFL players, not exactly 'good'.  

 

Wallace is an unknown, and maybe the long view is to wait to get him on the field until he won't hurt his confidence being out there.   Pure speculation on my part, but I'm pretty sure Schwartz isn't doing it in an effort to 'put a weaker player' out there.

Yes.  Of course, they have more dynamic players at the WR position too.   Eagles have grocery clerks playing WR again.

his talent was obvious. Its a major red mark against Schwarz to not figure out how to utilize his skillset.

Nope, Fort played very well here in our 4-3 before he was cut.

Nope. LeBlanc has always played excellently every time hes gotten the opportunity. 

 

Revisionist history and benefit of the doubt to a coach who has done nothing to earn it here. Over the years its been a repetitive complaint that X player is not getting playing time over the POS starting over him.
