He killed the team today for sure, but the roster construction was as much to blame.

I think the board just did a rollback to Wednesday? A bunch of posts are gone.

Posts from Wednesday to Today are gone for anyone else?

Carson seemed a little freaked out after a big hit in the 1st quarter and he never really got back in control afterwards.  I did wonder if he was concussed as he went from good to bad very quickly

It appears Pete Carroll finally realized Russell Wilson is a stud. I think they’re the best team in the NFC.

EMB is trying to use a time machine to get back to before today's meltdown.

What in the world happened to Matt Pryor?  From starting at RG to not even playing....such a mystery.

It could be thread sizes need to be maintained. I know a lot of sites would cap thread at a certain post count and then ask for a new one to be created to help maintain the load. I wonder if that’s what we need to do.

He’s not wrong. Wentz was terrible after they got up 17. He was inaccurate with throws and held onto the Ball way too long. definitely a big part why we lost

However this whole team is a giant crap show. Poor drafting has caught up with them. Put it into perspective from the 2017 draft class we had only gerry out there today. From the 2019 draft class only jjaw played today. Add on you don’t just lose two pro bowl offensive lineman and force a 38 year old declining olineman back to LT. I would add Graham and Jackson are both overpaid at this point of their careers. Moreover doug didn’t help matters today and howie roster is an aging declining core and multiple bad contracts. Might take a 2 year retooling

This is far from their biggest problem right now, but Howie, Doug, and Wentz have backed themselves into an ugly corner with Hurts.

Inactivate him next week, and that nauseating spin about drafting him to use him as a Taysom Hill on steroids to help this team this year is exposed as complete BS.

Activate him after this weeks events and the ill-advised fan/media rumblings will reach a level that will resonate in the locker room and sidelines.

Wentz can make a bad team decent and a good team great. But he’s not going to take an average roster with average coaches and front office personnel on a deep playoff run.

IMO the best two QBs I’ve ever seen play are Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning. They’d take dog crap rosters to 11 or 12 win seasons and win a playoff game or 2. Wentz is not that guy. He needs a strong run game and good leadership from his coaches.

I'm pretty sure Herbig was responsible for at least two sacks today. I thought Pryor was at least decent when he played last year but clearly the team doesn't want to play him at RG.

Virus is out of control, cancel the season <_<

I think the plan was to keep him ready to come in at LT so they wouldn’t have to make changes at 2 positions

Today he made an average team bad.

Wentz seems to get rattled when he's hit. I guess most QBs do, but his mechanics really just completely fall off. How he still has such severe mechanical issues in year 5 is beyond me.

Using that logic you'd think he'd take an average team and make them good.

I don't even think he does that. Carson Wentz, in his current form, is not a net positive for any team. He's the guy who's going to do some really amazing stuff and then completely erase it by turning the ball over and making boneheaded plays.

As for the rest of your post, I agree. He needs a ton of help around him to mask all the things he's so bad at.

What scares me is they've been high on Herbig since last year.  I saw nothing in him that screams he can do the job.

Mailata failed to extend his arms almost every time he engaged someone.  He let every defender get in to his body.  90% of o-line play is engaging the defender with your hands and extending your arms so you can control him.  He just sat there and played catch.  For all the love Stoutland gets the scrubs that played today looked like they've never taken a snap before.

Talk radio callers tomorrow...Put in Hurts

He sucked. No doubt about it. But the team got out coached in the 2nd half real bad

I mentioned that before the game started but when you're getting your quarterback killed that thought process should go out the window.  Protect your franchise QB at all costs even if he isn't doing anything to help.

Today was more bad decision making honestly.

Honestly with how bad the offensive line is right now I’m not so sure Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers make it through the year behind this line. Rodgers a better chance with his maneuverability. don’t disagree we need a better running game with him. We also need to draft better and develop players better.

It's why it was and is a terrible pick at that spot. I have nothing against Hurts. Seems like a good kid who works hard. But this team didn't have the luxury of wasting their second pick on a guy where best case scenario he never sees the field. And it wasn't even a situation like Green Bay where they drafted their potential future QB after their older QB leaves. You already committed to Wentz with the contract extension so it's your responsibility to draft guys who have the chance to be immediate contributors.
