I’m not even that upset with the o-line. Doug and Wentz hung them out to dry

Not upset with the oline. I expected them to be dominated by Washington’s front four. Problem is doug did them no favors. Wentz compounded it with bad throws and mistakes

Reid’s last season the team was littered with injuries. Foles and Bryce Brown ended up as starters.

I meant injuries where they would hide and disclose it and media called them out

Doug more so. No Te blocking or Chipping to hlp out. Refused to get a run game going even when your up 17-0 and kept doing his same out play calling that the redskins sniffed out with ease. Wentz was ducking for his life out there barely getting the ball off when he could. Wentz did not play well but Doug Hung both Wentz and his line out to dry.

Felt very Reid with Winston justice like

Yeah I don’t get that new crap they’re trying to pull. It’s really annoying they’re acting that way with injuries. Maybe they’re just tired of talking about them.

How about some good observations.

Goedert proved today that he is the right tight end to keep.  I hope the Eagles continue playing hard ball with Ertz.  The way Goedert moves after the catch is night and day with Ertz.  He's just such a fluid athlete and can run people over and make them miss.  Not knocking Ertz at all, we know he's an all-timer.  It's DG time.  He can be a matchup nightmare.

Maddox played well from what I saw.  Tight coverage.  Made a play on the ball..catch it next time.

The linebackers looked fast outside of one scramble where Haskins ran for 30 and Gerry couldn't catch him.  Duke Riley seemed to be very good in coverage, despite the wide open touchdown.

Josh Sweat stepped up and looks like he's ready to be a player and we need him to be.

Mills at safety is going to work.  I think he'll get better every game, might be a mid-season extension.

Greg Ward looks reliable and made plays.  He did just what a lot of fans want him to.  Be consistent, help the team move the sticks.

Reagor on the 55 yard catch was great.

TY McGill got himself noticed.

OK now.

O-line across the board....even everyone's favorite Kelce played like trash.

Fletcher Cox...any time you want to earn that $100 million I'm waiting.

JJAW...JJAW anyone?

Carson...yikes.

Huntley on his one carry looked like he was running in mud.  Not good for a speed guy.

Ertz you can't drop that 4th down pass.

Hightower, this isn't Boise State anymore.  Time to step up.

Injuries injuries injuries

We’ve got mega contracts at RT and RG, a contract extension of a 3rd round pick at LG, a first round trade up at LT, and several mid/late round talented developmental guys from each of the last few drafts.

The fact that the Eagles have no OL starters, no OL depth, AND need to address the OL early and often in April is not just bad injury luck, it’s also an indictment of Howie and, frankly, Stoutland.

Yup.  It's time to call him out.  This O-line God of a coach hasn't done squat.

JJAW is a wasted roster spot at this point

Yeah maybe. I think they just do what they feel like and don’t care

I wouldn’t say never. Before the end of the Reid era they had things like this occur. Definitely internal squabbles that got reported and power struggle and stuff of that natural.. the injury stuff no but arrogant was there

I meant the injury stuff. They were honest and up front in the Doug era before the SB, and after they suddenly changed how they handle reporting them.

In the end I did not see a prepared football team today and I saw unimaginative game planning to go with a horrible offensive line, and a QB still making the same mistakes he made five years ago. Something has to give.

True. But they were arrogant about other stuff. It was an issue at the end of the Reid era that was brought to light.

Leave it to an Eagles loss to crash the server.

I think game plan was vanilla cause not sure they believed that herbig, Driscoll and even peters would hold up.i think they tried to simplify for that. Wentz made some bad mistakes. I also think peart of Wentz’s horribleness falls on not trusting the oline and worried more about the pass rush then getting the ball out

They've definitely been more secretive since Doug. Even in the offseason when there's no competitive advantage. It's very annoying

Wentz wasnt so awful on the first few drives when the offense was at its healthiest (today) and their playcalling wasnt predictable and stupid.

Doug didnt have the team prepared today,  Im starting to think there isnt some magical curse on the Eagles and maybe he just doesnt know what he's doing.  Im also thinking that Lurie might think that as well, hell they've done just about everything to show it.

No more excuses for Wentz. Enough is enough. This is year number 5 and he still reverts back to stupid Wentz way too much. His INTS lead directly to the Washington Football Team comeback.

It was the first game. I still have faith that Wentz will be fine. He did play like crap today though. Running game would probably have helped a little.

I think that would be a good point if they didnt run the same vanilla scheme in 2016, 2018, and 2019. Injuries always seam to be the excuse for the no creativity and poor game planning.

I bet Wentz gets a mystery injury this week.

I would agree with your assume that if the team didn’t spend so much of this game looking like they wanted to hit a home run on nearly every play. Watching Wentz hold on to the ball for as long as he did on al, those plays was nerve wracking. The screen game wasn’t much better either. By the way for all these new faces I didn’t see anything that looked like new offense. Much of the stuff we saw with Groh.

I don't even know what he's referencing, but this team just feels like a mess right now.

Wentz was terrible the last 32 minutes of the game. Not sure what his problem was but he needs to get his crap together. When things start going bad he just seems to get worse. That first interception was entirely on him, you don't loft that ball you have to get that towards the sideline on a rope. The second int was also his fault for staring down the receiver the whole play. And some of the sacks and fumbles are on him too. Get the damn ball out or keep both hands on it! He's got to get this by now!!!

The oline was complete garbage. I get that they are backups and Washingtons dline is all world but JFC that was a pathetic showing for NFL players. Not sure why these guys are so horrible, even Seumalo and Vaitai were at least serviceable their rookie seasons. Even Kelce and Peters were trash today! They couldn't even execute screen plays for crying out loud!

Doug needs to put the team in a position to succeed with his play calling. When your oline is crap you don't have Wentz dropping back in a pocket that isn't there. Where were the designed roll outs? How about a draw play once in awhile to slow the rush? And what the hell is this teams problems running screen plays FFS! Don't they practice this crap?

No idea what it's about but honestly I'd be pissed off if I was him too. I was surprised that Schwartz still had him 10-15yds off the line majority of the time

Well, if McLane's article is any indication, they're primed to drop it all on Doug's feet at the end of the year if this isn't a successful season.

People in that organization already leaking passive aggressively negative stuff about Doug before the season started.

He will end up doing sit-ups in his driveway.

I think 2016 you saw that due to lack of talent. That team was by far the worse talented group Pederson has coached. And a makeshift oline with lane suspended and injuries. But 2018/2019 i agree. This offense right now has too many rookies On offense we are depending on And 3 olinemen who have no business starting. Yes peters shouldn’t be starting. He’s only here due to injuries. And backup running backs

Holy crap did you just see that? Bucs just failed that return and Saints get the ball back

Brady has the "I made a huge mistake” look.

It’s apparently about a commentator who said he was a problem in Detroit.
