Anyone think Singleton starts next week?

Well, he did what Gerry can't seem to do and that is recognize the play and put yourself into position to make a play on the ball.  Gerry ran to cover the pylon on that TD vs CIN where Singleton dropped into a passing lane in coverage and caught the ball (already better than most of our previous and current LBs) and took it to the house.  Yeah, give him the start and let's see what he can do.

Doug refusing to put Sanders in on that final drive was weird. He clearly doesn’t trust him in a situation like that.

That was Duce and he was concerned about ball security

18/28 for 193 yards.  1 INT/1 TD passing. Not a lot better than Mullins and Schwartz’s prevent defense made Breathard look like an all pro.  Not a great night for Wentz.

Next time Ertz complains about an extension, all Howie has to do is show him what happens after the catch with Kittle in this game versus Ertz.  I have always said that after his blocking, the biggest thing missing in Ertz’s game is YAC.

I’ll give Ertz this... the Niners D seemed to gameplan on taking him out. Schwartz never adjusts to focus on star players

However you feel about the team and potential for the season. Gotta give credit to the fact they didn’t fold with all injuries and adversity in their face. The team, and especially Wentz, fought hard to win this game.

Not true.  I heard it here in this very thread that once the 9ers got that 2nd touchdown that the rout was on and the vets would start to lose interest.

Thanks for the SB TD, Zach, but you don't deserve Kittle or Kelce money.  They are both a level above you.

Not a bad night for Wentz by any stretch either.

Wentz, Ertz, and, Johnson and  Kelce only "starters" on offense today. Went west, road game, victory.

He’s our best weapon. He’s also the most likely to break one and end the game. That’s beyond idiotic. It’s not like clement or Scott haven’t fumbled before as well

Schwartz I think had Slay with Deebo.

Really is a solid win.  No one had them winning this game.

Yeah, the criticism of Wentz has become pathological in here.

Hi Blog - been MIA for a while but I'm guessing it hasn't been a barrel of laughs in here recently 😞

Not exactly my usual optimistic self for this game but it's football. Anything can happen.

Well... football is crazy huh? Well done to the team for getting the win... and first place in the division lol! Of course it wasn't perfect but it was a whole lot better than most of what we've seen this season.

Also injuries. How do we keep adding so many injuries each game???

They beat a depleted Niners team.  I’m not optimistic about next week except the Eagles always seem to play Pittsburgh well

He held Kittle to 15 catches and a thousand yards with 2nd-3rd string QB’s. About right.

The D actually forced 3 TOs tonight.  I almost don't remember what that's like.

Treasure it because we face Steelers and Ravens next

He said Sanders was fatigued last week. Curious what the reason will be this week

I’m really hoping that TD pass is what Wentz needed to get his confidence back.

The first quarter didn’t look good.

Aside from the int, there was a play to Rodgers where Wentz was late on the throw and the ball game out like a duck. It looked horrible. There was a report I saw where opposing defensive coaches think Wentz is in his own head and gripping the ball too tight. That play looked like the report was true.

Mailata looked better than Williams and Meat McGlinchey

I’d like to know the total snap count for deebo. I know before the game he was on a snap count. He likely was doing both deebo and aiyuk

And it’s not like the team could move on from him.

Kind of surprised that they didn't flag him for delay of game.

And can we talk about the clock management of the clock operator?     Hometown discount there.... no way that they should have had as much time as they did.  At 2:09, the WR is tackled... the ball would need to be thrown to the middle of the field, the players move into position and snap the ball.  So, when they restart at 2:09, the umpire should be standing over the ball, like he was setting it, and then they'd have to wait for him to get to his position before being allowed to snap the ball, same as a 'live ball situation', and it should have run about 2 seconds (or maybe 3) off the clock.   So, that they score at the 2 minute warning on that TD.

AND... if they did the clock properly with the onsides kick, 2 seconds should have run off the clock.  The clock is supposed to start upon the TOUCH from the receiving team... AND then Rodgers bobbled it, and it should have taken another second for him to control and be 'giving himself up'... no way that was a 1 second play.

Those two things alone, cost the Eagles 40 seconds... and that's without discussing the nonsense with the umpire falling down, which saved the 49ers time and a down.  Garbage all around with the officiating and the clock at the end.

We are stupid and don’t realize he’s our best back and best weapon. Maybe they are trying to save him for late in the season like they were doing with DeSean.

FYP

I thought it was hilarious to see Ward getting double coverage in this game though. Good for him

Can I also just say I'm so glad to have Slay on this team. It makes such a difference being able to trust a corner on their best WR!
