We are stupid and don’t realize he’s our best back and best weapon. Maybe they are trying to save him for late in the season like they were doing with DeSean.

That plan backfired with Jackson though since he still got injured

Slay has been worth every penny so far. He’s a baller.

Well, he did what Gerry can't seem to do and that is recognize the play and put yourself into position to make a play on the ball.  Gerry ran to cover the pylon on that TD vs CIN where Singleton dropped into a passing lane in coverage and caught the ball (already better than most of our previous and current LBs) and took it to the house.  Yeah, give him the start and let's see what he can do.

Gerry was the MLB on that play. Glad when Edwards went down they moved Gerry inside and put in Singleton.

Our LT is a BIG man.

Kind of surprised that they didn't flag him for delay of game.

And can we talk about the clock management of the clock operator?     Hometown discount there.... no way that they should have had as much time as they did.  At 2:09, the WR is tackled... the ball would need to be thrown to the middle of the field, the players move into position and snap the ball.  So, when they restart at 2:09, the umpire should be standing over the ball, like he was setting it, and then they'd have to wait for him to get to his position before being allowed to snap the ball, same as a 'live ball situation', and it should have run about 2 seconds (or maybe 3) off the clock.   So, that they score at the 2 minute warning on that TD.

AND... if they did the clock properly with the onsides kick, 2 seconds should have run off the clock.  The clock is supposed to start upon the TOUCH from the receiving team... AND then Rodgers bobbled it, and it should have taken another second for him to control and be 'giving himself up'... no way that was a 1 second play.

Those two things alone, cost the Eagles 40 seconds... and that's without discussing the nonsense with the umpire falling down, which saved the 49ers time and a down.  Garbage all around with the officiating and the clock at the end.

I agree it was terrible. The officiating on the whole wasn’t great

Still did not like Dougs play calling this game. One drive in the 2nd half he picked about 14 pass plays and 1 run play. Carson however made some runs out of those pass plays. Carson did well for what he had to work with. I will say I am not a fan of Jim but he finally changed up the defense and did a lot of different things to confuse the lack of experience QB.

In the end the 9ers head coach was out coached just enough. He should have stuck with the run more but he pulled a Dougie P move trying to get tricky passing too much which lead to some really bad picks.

I think it’s beyond idiotic. Late season doesn’t matter if there’s nothing to play for. Like sanders is massively better than Scott and clement. He finds a crease and he could be gone and it’s ball game. I’m sorry i have no want of clement or Scott on the field in that situation. Neither one are worthy of that. Maybe clement 3 years ago. He’s not that player anymore

I thought it was hilarious to see Ward getting double coverage in this game though. Good for him

Smart D in the Red zone by San Fran.  While we don't double Kittle in the RZ

Who had money on Travis Fulgham and Alex Singleton scoring TDs?

Yeah, the criticism of Wentz has become pathological in here.

It comes with the paycheck... but at times it goes crazy overboard.  He's out there battling with guys that no one would expect the Eagles to be able to win with if told this would be the lineup before the season started.

WRs are: Ward, Fulgham, Hightower and Killians.
OL: Mailata, Herbig, Pryor and Driscoll
And instead of Dallas Goedert, its Richard Rodgers.

Not sure what anyone can expect from that offense besides "battling"... fighting to move the sticks and get on the scoreboard.  And they did just that today.  With that lineup, the only way a win was going to happen was 'ugly'.  But at the end of the day, a "W", even an ugly one, counts the same as a beautiful one.

Did Genard Avery get that much better in the last week that he couldn’t get on the field?

Submitted my Johnson with a top hat i for a cutout at the next home game. Let’s see if they take it.

I give doug credit though he was more creative in his play designs and having guys in motion. Even the cute plays that didn’t work were new wrinkles. more irritated that somehow Scott and clement are getting meaningful carries at the end of the game

Mailata just started and played every snap at LT in a win. That pick is officially a success.

Fulgham in one game with the eagles has more career tds than jjaw in an eagles uniform

I bet Mullens was absolutely shocked to see a LB drop between him and a receiver. It was the first time we did it all year.

It should be monumental for his confidence.

I know it's tough to evaluate live but did anybody focus on Mailata for any extended period of time? How did he look?

The offense still moves too lateral. The reverse to Killins was brutal. Get Wentz on the move more with rollouts and press it more downfield. Take a shot every once in a while like they did with Fulgham. I don’t know if it’s the talent, but he can’t scheme guys open for crap. I know they’re playing with a bunch of practice squad guys, but coaches all over the league are able to scheme inferior talent open.

There's no reason for Peters to take another snap at LT

He struggled on speed rushes but, for his first ever American football game at LT I think he did ok.

Funny thing is... either one of them SHOULD have caused the 2 minute warning to happen before the Eagles' O takes the field.  But, they compounded the hometime clock keeping in BOTH spots to make it so that they preserved that 1 second on the clock before the 2 minute warning.  And you just KNOW that clock operator was super fast turning the clock on and off to be sure to keep 1 second on the clock above 2:00 on that kickoff.

I actually called the Fulgham TD when we got the ball back to a friend over text. Said something like, "we're going to score and it's going to be that random dude from Green Bay because they focus on the devastatingly talented Greg Ward."

The gameplan protected the OL, but he did well for sure.

Just stating his performance.  His best of the season but he played like a mid level QB tonight, not an MVP.  SF D was without its starting DEs and starting CBs.  Yes Wentz was without four of the five starters on the OL and his starting WRs and second TE in the 12 offense too so that factors in.
