I don't want to get too far over my skis on this, but I kind of expect him to not just be something, but something good. To play how he did with just 20 live snaps of football in his entire life is downright remarkable.

The next two weeks will be key for him against all-pro level players. Tonight was a warm up against backups, but we already know he can handle backups because he was able to do it in literally his second-ever pre-season game.

Hopefully the team will get DJax and Jeffery back, since having solid receivers is going to make it harder for teams to bring pressure.

But I don't think it's a stretch to say that he was the better LT on the field tonight, or at the least he did more to help his team win than Williams did for the 9ers to prevent them from losing.

I think we saw today why he hasn't been "more creative." Killins jet sweeps didn't work, Hurts wild cat didn't work, and with the OL in such shambles he can't really count on getting much time for trick plays and misdirection to develop.

The wildcat/QB option might have been OK if Kelce could snap the ball.

He pissed me off this year, but he managed to win with almost the entire starting offence out with injuries. Good job Doug. (this time)

still calls some bone headed plays , with this offense struggling he needs to cut out the tricky crap and line up and run or pass north not east and west

Thought this was pretty cool. Doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, but that’s a good message to send to your guys for whatever it’s worth.

Okay, I've avoided this place for several weeks so I've really been out of the loop in terms of following team news. All I've been doing the past few weeks is keeping an eye on the roster moves during the week and watching the games on Sunday. I realize we have an ish-ton of injuries, but I'm absolutely unaware of the extent of all the specific injuries. Could someone give me the general consensus on the timeline for Seumalo, Peters, Goedert, DJackson, Reagor, Jeffery, Maddox, Curry, James, and whoever I've missed? All I've really heard regarding Seumalo and Goedert is "multiple weeks" but I don't know if that means 3-4 weeks or 8-12 weeks. I'm assuming DeSean could potentially be back soon, but what about Reagor? Since he went on IR, I know he has to be out a minimum of three weeks, but is that all we're looking at? Or is he out until Thanksgiving or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and was Travis Fulgham the guy the Eagles added this summer that someone complained about, arguing that it was an absolute waste of a waiver claim? If so, that's pretty funny in hindsight.

And...Jesus, how many breaks did the 49ers get from the officials in the last 2:09 of the game regarding the clock? Holy hell, was that brutal!

And...with 2:01 on the clock, you might as well throw the ball rather than try to force a run into a stacked line. The clock is going to stop either way.

And...that last play was scary. I could see that damn ball bouncing around and falling right into the lap of a 49ers player.

How soon before Pryor gets benched?

When Peters comes back he should absolutely be the left guard. Imagine running behind Peters and Mailata.

look the young O LINEMEN weren't perfect but they will need live reps like this game against a decent defense to get better , the team at one point had 4 new linemen on the field with kelce the only vet

I gained some respect for Wentz when this happened. Icing on the cake was that Fulgham TD was on this DB here

Seumalo- going to be out a while. Possibly the whole season.

Peters- too early to know for sure, but at least 3 games since he's on IR.

Goedert- probably a few more weeks.

Jackson- few more weeks

Reagor- few more weeks

Jeffery- couple more weeks

Maddox- couple more weeks

Curry- few more weeks

maybe lane misses a game or 2 the way he hasn't been able heal

Definitely possible. Will Parks and Trevor Williams are out too. I'm not sure about their timelines for return.

Ford got hurt again tonight, as did TJ Edwards.

Anyone else find this strange? 37 rushing yards for Wentz is the 4th most for him in a game?  I would have guessed he has run for more than that a bunch of times.

The Reagor injury bums me out more than anyone. I can’t wait for him to get into the lineup

If the season ended today, we'd be hosting the Rams in the first round of the PLAYOFFS!

DAL has allowed 50 more points than the 0-4 Giants in the first 4 games this season, 20 more points than the 0-4 Texans, and 15 more points than the 0-4 Jets

Nate Gerry would spend the entire offseason walking around the Linc in search of Tyler Higbee.

If so, this would be the one that really stings. With the others, you at least have some expectation of them being on the field in November and December. So you hope that you can get to the bye hovering somewhere around .500 and then with a relatively healthy (ha!) lineup in the second half of the year, you might be able to get something rolling.

I wanna see Mailata for the rest of the season. I'd take the L on Dillard if it meant taking a W on Mailata; absolutely love that kid. His answer in the PC about replacing Jason Peters was such a cool attitude for a 23 YO

It does and then it’s even more frustrating when you watch guys like lamb, Jeudy, Jefferson, aiyuk contributing for their teams and making big plays. I thought Reagor was doing fine before the injury. it just sucks that he’s missing this time and you know if he’s out there he could be making plays like them

They beat a depleted Niners team.  I’m not optimistic about next week except the Eagles always seem to play Pittsburgh well

Not in Pittsburgh

Yeah i think their record is bad there. I want to say when we had TO and mcnabb there was a stat where we lost like 4 of the last 5 there
