They beat a depleted Niners team.  I’m not optimistic about next week except the Eagles always seem to play Pittsburgh well

I’m not optimistic about the next two weeks frankly. I’d argue that the steelers and ravens might be our toughest back to back slate besides the Seahawks and packers. However at least you have a chance to be 3-4-1 heading into the bye. Giants is a winnable game and Dallas defense is so bad that if goedert, desean and alshon somehow could be healthy for it we could actually score enough to pull that one out.

I think the Pittsburgh game could be quite close actually. It will be tough but they don't strike me as the kind of team that will put up a lot of points on us.

We’d hope so. Our offense isn’t scoring in bunches yet. Still only 18 offensive points last night.

I disagree. That team had a very good offensive line. They have a bunch of nice playmakers in diontae Johnson, juju, Washington and claypool at wide receiver. Conner when healthy is a solid back. Haven’t mentioned Ebron who should be licking his chops. I’d add on Big Ben is likely the best QB we’ve faced so far this year.

Yeah last night’s win was cool, but it’s not fooling me into thinking we’re better than we are. I still expect every game to be a struggle.

I actually think the Eagles have a better path to victory against the ravens than they do against the Steelers. I think the Steelers are a terrible matchup for the Eagles. While the ravens are still a bad matchup for the Eagles I think if you could make Lamar Jackson have to beat you with his arm and i think outside of brown and Andrews their receiving weapons aren’t great. I don’t think they will but I can see them pulling off an upset in that game more than going to Pittsburgh and winning that one.

They have three receivers at 150 yards receiving for the season plus a TE that's over a 100yds, so they look exactly like the sort of offense that will score points on a secondary that consists of Darius Slay and some other guys, plus a linebacker corps that couldn't cover a good college offense..

How freaking hilarious is it that we are winning our division at this moment in time

It is funny but honestly it's temporary, Dallarse will absolutely blow the doors off everyone else in the division offensively, they've just played offenses that could take advantage of their defense so far and narrowly lost in shootouts, they'll sweep the division without really trying.

I wouldn't be so sure about that! That's a really really bad defense that will get exposed by most teams.

So, any word on when we will get Will Parks back?  Although Epps has been playing well.

Also, if my math is correct, we should be able to get Curry and Craig James back this week.  Then Seumalo next week after Pit, and the rest on IR (Goedert, Reagor, Trevor Williams, Peters) week 7.

Hey nice to see you around man.  And in London now?  I swear everytime I'd see you post, I picture you speaking with the same accent as Sharlto Copley from from District 9.

Hahaha that's hilarious! That's a strong Afrikaans accent. I've got some family who speak like that but not me 😋 Trevor Noah is probably a better comparison. Parts of his book actually took place 5 minutes from where I grew up.

Yeah I've been in London for about a year and a half now (although in self-imposed full lockdown since February). Loving London nonetheless though.

Now that I think about it - I've got a small YouTube channel with a couple thousand subscribers. You could hear me speak there. But maybe you don't want to shatter your illusion and amusement! 😂

I wanna see Mailata for the rest of the season. I'd take the L on Dillard if it meant taking a W on Mailata; absolutely love that kid. His answer in the PC about replacing Jason Peters was such a cool attitude for a 23 YO

I missed this. What did he say?

If there’s anything a Doug pederson led ball club should have taught us by now, it’s not fear the tough teams on the schedule.

No, save that fear for the below average teams.

Agreed, but he played not to lose on that 3rd down play call.  One throw for 10 yards against a defense showing 9 on the LOS — complete it and win the game.  The Niners one remaining timeout wasn’t that important when weighed against one completion to win the game.  Hated that play call.

Should’ve thrown it on 1st down when they had 9 on the line. Clock was stopping no matter what, in fact even an incompletion would’ve taken longer than Clement’s dive into the line.

Didn’t see or hear it. What’d he say?

Teams that can expose them sure. Who in this division can?

Exactly my thoughts. Take your shot deep.

He wants $6m and to be paid like a starting LT now.

Eagles threw 28 times and ran 28 times last night.

Imagine that, they got the win

Next week Doug goes back to throwing the ball 50 times.

Eagles usually compete in games they have no business winning. Wentz comes out relaxed and focused and Eagles actually get a turnover

eagles 23

69ers 21

Winner was Hans solo with a 26-20 prediction.

Honorable mentions Eagles all day, br3 original prediction and Franklinfldebupper although he did have the wrong team winning.

@In2football

Eagles 27. - Steelers 23

But the Steagles are the real winners.

1st place eagles
