I don't want to get too far over my skis on this, but I kind of expect him to not just be something, but something good. To play how he did with just 20 live snaps of football in his entire life is downright remarkable.

Lets see what Watt has for him next week before we get too far ahead of ourselves

Just keep getting better and healthier, slowly but surely

If Mailata doesn't have that drive-killing false start or Kelce doesnt throw a 90mph slider to Wentz, the Eagles probably take control of tht game even earlier

There are a lot of positives to take from that game

Maybe the Eagles ought to trade out of the top rounds. They have better success with lower draft picks.

I also think we should consider shutting Lane down until the bye to let his ankle heal

Driscoll looked ok coming in off the bench

its the guards that suck

Teams that can expose them sure. Who in this division can?

Not sure it takes much to expose that defense.

All you have to do with the is block the edges

they are weak everywhere else, so just focus on edge pressure its all they have

Good.  And If that’s what he needs to do In order to win until he gets his mechanics back, etc...he should continue to do it.

I liked what I saw from Wentz last night in terms of determination.   You could tell he’s not quite back at 100% yet but he looked much better overall than he did in the first 3 weeks.

I guess the "Playing Mailata will get Wentz killed" crowd is still in bed.

OR ...

Better than LAST week.

Jus' sayin'

Like I said last night, thank goodness Bosa and Ford were out and he got to play JAGs in his first start. That was significant

Watt and Dupree are up next.

How freaking hilarious is it that we are winning our division at this moment in time

Well... everybody knows.... Dallas sucks!  So, it should come as no surprise.

Good to get a win!  A few other first as well, all good.

The young OL men played well and held their own.  Not perfect, but well.  Forced into or by design, no matter.  Playing the young players is the right thing to do.  Rest Johnson to recover fully is also a wise idea.

The win should credit the contributions of role players in different roles.  Again, let them played even they are not yet the household names.  The inexperienced players will make mistakes. It is the duties of the coaches to point that out and teach techniques and how to deal with the situations.

The touchdown to #13 notwithstanding, Wentz is still trying to go long.  Holding the ball way too long and subject himself to hits and possibly injury.  Simplify the calls and make quick release would be wise.

Build a TEAM. Never mind the Haters.

BUILD. Don't tear it down.

Our RBs had 17 carries for 50 yards. Our non-QBs were 18 for 38, thanks to Killins’ 12-yard loss.

Yikes.

Someone somewhere just smashed their keyboard yelling "STOP DILUTING PICKS!!!!" 😋

A win is a win right?  The performance was an improvement on other recent efforts but hardly cause for extended cheer - more like relief.  I thought Schwartz did a nice job adjusting in game to the Niners schematic tweaks and the DL players do their best to congest the throwing lanes on roll outs.  The O looked better but was still a mess at times.  Carson did look like he was having fun out there; first time this season.

Mailata for his first ever start at any level of the sport was superb. He has a long way to go, but no egregious mental mistakes that other OL won't do this season.  The hard part will be for him to keep getting better and not showing up in a bad way. Tougher challenges ahead but he continues as is, JP can stay on IR. I can see Brown coming in for Pryor very soon.

The whole commentator mask mandate looked dumb and sounded dumb.  Some people need to take a breath on COVID, but California is gonna California.

Honestly, the only time I noticed it was when those two babies complained about the masks.

DAL has allowed 50 more points than the 0-4 Giants in the first 4 games this season, 20 more points than the 0-4 Texans, and 15 more points than the 0-4 Jets

I said it yesterday, and I'll repeat it again today.  It was a stupid move by Dallas to draft Ceedee Lamb, not because he's not good or not able to help them, but he was a major luxury pick.  They just resigned Cooper, they still have a young WR in Michael Gallup.  They didn't need another WR (although, maybe the plan is to not resign Gallup when his contract is up, though that won't happen until after the 2021 season)  But... their defense is desperately in need of help.  Had they drafted a guy like Patrick Queen, they'd have been much better off in the short term, and the long term, I believe.

Stunts too, pulling a bit.  But he didn't let Carson get killed.  A 3-4 next week so great experience and education for him.  I suspect he'll just get better and better

Yea, that's what I noticed.  There were some stunts that he continued to follow his man rather than let the LG take him and switch off, blitzes off the edge where he didn't kick out but as far as his skillset and handling NFL talent I have no question.  Experience is just going to make him better.  Unless the Steelers 3-4 ruins him, Mailata should be the LT the rest of the year.  Last night was about as good as you could have asked for a guy playing his first real football game ever.  Props to Mailata and Stoutland for finally getting one of his guys to develop.

With that being said.  It's time for Jamon Brown at RG.  Pryor should be catching the next bus out of town while JJAW and Gerry carry his bags.  He got abused.

Few things I noticed.

-Mills is better at safety but didn't get killed.  Classic finger wag after a pass was 10 yards away then beat on the next play.

-Marcus Epps is not an NFL safety, Wallace has a long way to go.

-Play calling and personnel usage of offense are still terrible.  I have no idea why people think Duce will make a good HC...how many years is it we scream about his rotation and the hot/lead back being out of the game?

-Ertz, take notice of 85 in red...that's how you play tight end and get paid top dollar.

-Our DE are stepping up big time.  If Barnett, Avery and Sweat continue that takes a huge need off the priority list next year (still need a DE but might not be bleeding like we thought)

-Malik is the best DT by far.  How many times during the game did I hear, you don't hear much from Fletcher Cox anymore...a lot.

-The Eagles need explosive talent in the worst way.  Aiyuk is insane.  Deebo showed flashes.  Kittle is next level.

-Again, 3rd and longs are just killing this team.  Back to play calling.  And on top of it, 3rd and long RB swing pass...that's the best we can do?

-Fulgham>JJAW

-When Jim Schwartz's contract expires please don't renew it.

-Just having average linebacker play would boost this defense.  Really jealous watching the 49ers linebackers play.

-Rudy Ford, while good at ST gets hurt too often.

-For all that talk about Killins speed, he showed me nothing.

-Hakeem Butler...please turn in to a diamond in the rough and get rid of Dick Rod.

-Finally, this is still not a good team.  Let's not be fooled.  Nick Mullins played toe to toe with Carson Wentz all night.  The lack of explosive, elite talent is evident.  Howie is good at finding scrubs and that's it.  The last thing I want is this team to win 7-8 games in a terrible NFC East.

Al Michaels struggled all game - my feed, he had a bit more bass in the tone.  Just a strange thing to force for me.

Queen isn’t really playing well either, and they already have invested a ton in their LBs. Maybe the LSU DE would have made sense, but Lamb is good. Really good. I’m not going to take a shot at Dallas for picking a guy who looks like a future star in round 1.
